Anyone have a tune to share for the 2J for this race? I got mine down to 600pp but on CH tires and totally down tuned ECU/power and added all ballast - much slower than showed in the video. Love this car at Sardegna with a Paraino tune.

I feel like I’ve posted this a bunch, so apologies to people who’ve seen it already.

Full power, Comfort medium. FM1, pit after lap 6 for tires and gas.

Turn on Countersteer Assist, Active Stability Management, and set TCM to 3. Also make sure you have the body stiffening upgrade.

hey @The_It_Jojo I got 2 cars you might like to review the Toyota GR Yaris Performance & 14' Subaru WRX STI

that little 3 cylinder is impressive...surprised me

Right, time to get cracking on three reviews at once now that I dealt with irl stuff:

Toyota Celica ST205: understeer, understeer, and massive acceleration
Requested by @TFSI400

This car is like a rabbit: reaches quickly its top speed and when pushed to its limits will understeer into a wall.

...

Ok, I completely made up the latter, but you get my point, this car likes to understeer. A lot. Kissing walls is this car's passion, and it's pretty good at it, though admittedly the lower the speed, the lower the issue becomes, but there are only three slow corners in Tokyo: turn 1, turn 2 and the double hairpin corner. On every other corner... this car struggles, and I felt as if the driver's head was constantly smacked against the window because of said understeer. Top speed wise, you can easily reach 305 km/h while overrevving in 5th gear (because of course this car overreves in fifth gear), and has an amazing acceleration, so much so I found out it's the fastest car to reach its top speed. Oh, brakes are pure, hot garbage, brake early.

Economy wise, it's not the greatest: high tyre wear, high fuel consumption because of the turbo and short 5th gear, you name it, I'm not a fan of this side of the car: end of lap 7 is when I had to pit for both tyres and fuel.

And then we come about the most nonsensical part of this car: it's bonkers when it comes to hotlapping. As in 2:10.3 kind of hotlapping, on par with the R32. And I can't understand why, but this car is ridiculously fast. It's an experience for sure, I'm not going to lie, but I liked it in the end (except for the fact it costed me a fortune to upgrade this car to 600pp).

Final thoughts: I'd recommend to try it, absolutely, but be prepared to kiss walls.

Toyota GR Yaris: GP2 ENGINE! GP2!

Requested by @T4UR14N, as you'd expect, despite the tuning to get to 600pp, it's not really a very fast car in terms of top speed but it's amazing at handling. 280 km/h in terms of top speed (tuning the engine was a pain) which is not surprising from a 1.6L, 3 cylinders engine, but since this car weighs as much as an albatross and has the same agility, it turns amazingly well, so much so it's ridiculous. It also has good brakes but that's because I had to put sports brakes on because I had to get to 600pp somehow, and brakes was how I got there.

Economy wise, 3 cylinders means low fuel consumption, and the Yaris is no exception, having to refuel at the end of lap 8, and tyres are no exception: it's good at that too, and very good at it. No complaints on that front.

Lap times wise... it's in the absolute average of places, with 2:11s as my best time. And it was underwhelming ngl, I was expecting something better from this car, though it's understandable how a 3 cyl engine car doesn't do very well on a track with such massive straights, so ig it makes sense.

Final thoughts: fun little car, but I'd recommend keeping it to the 550pp Clubman + events.

Subaru Impreza WRX '14: uhm... what makes you stand out?
(Find which one is me, I'll wait)

This car is... ok. Really, nothing stands out too much about this car: average (albeit a bit understeery) handling, average top speed, average everything... really, there isn't much about it. Nothing really stands out from this car, and I genuinely have troubles talking about this car since nothing at all stands out. The only thing I think it's worth mentioning is that brakes are a bit better than most cars good brakes and that you need to put torque to 65 to the rear otherwise it will understeer a lot. Otherwise... there isn't much.

Economy wise, good tyre economy, and average fuel economy for a turbocharged JDM by having to pit at the end of lap 7. Admittedly, with some slight fuel saving you could go to lap 8 but it's, again... average stuff, nothing really stands out.

Same for lap times: with mid 2:11s being my best lap times, there isn't much to say about it, literally. I guess I could cut it down to 2:10s, but it's a hard car to drive fast. As in, it's difficult to get it up to speed, it's just not a fast car and I don't expect it to be, at this point.

Final thoughts: well... yeah, there isn't much to say about it. At least the engine sounds good, but besides that... I don't really know what to say about this car, really, besides the fact there are just better cars to use.

As always, thank you for reading my reviews, and if you have a car you'd like to see being tested, feel free to ask, I'll try them depending on their availability, though I don't think I could use the ones from the legendary dealership because they are either too old or too fast for this event. Stay safe lads, and have a good day ^_^

Nicely done 😊

I might have a go in my Celica, see if I can do anything to tame the understeer. Maybe playing around with camber and the ARBs.

I’ve never really had an issue with understeer in this car, but A) I’ve never put it round Tokyo, and B) I’ve only ever driven it for fun (so driving ‘properly’ and not taking every opportunity to swing the back end out might well reveal its tendency to understeer).

what's your race time on gr yaris?

i did 27:51 with one 10sec penalty when overtaking other cars, i think i could 27:35, i will again later?

 I bought the Aston Martin DP-100 VGT for this one.... feels like cheating again, but fun to slide around for 12 laps without pitting.
if you drive normal without to much penalty you win by over a minute on normal mode.
makes a nice turbo spool sound to.
I'm sure you can tune it alot better than i did to get it under 600, but just this is allready a 100% 800k
Some of my laps were fast, while other laps were more fun with a little drift action, did 26:51 overall with fastest lap 2:10 i believe.
walk in the park.

Whole race on FM 1

Thanks for (re)posting - is this a glitch? Varying many of these settings one notch up or down results in wildly different PP values. It is not an easy drive for sure, I found using manual instead of automatic helpful to reduce tire wear.

yeah, i guess it counts as a glitch, but it's arguable.

i think what's happening is when you click the "measure" button, the game simulates a bunch of acceleration and handling tests based on the car's current configuration. The idea with this tune is to basically make the car is so unstable that it almost-but-not-quite fails one of its simulated tests. If it totally fails one of the tests, you get the exclamation mark triangle and an invalid measurement. But if you're right on the edge, you get an unnaturally low PP.

The tomahawk glitch was different -- with that tune, I think the AI couldn't shift out of first gear, causing it to think the car had a top speed of 35mph (or whatever it was).

I tweaked it a little bit to bring some settings closer to a Prairano tune, but it is still very unstable. As you stated, without all the assists it is practically undrivable - thanks again.

So, no skipping reviews today, and I've got two very interesting cars:

Lamborghini Countach 25th anniversary: the king is dead, long live the king

Yes, that's me wheeling right there, the reason being this car is crazy fast and doesn't have lots of front downforce. So, how exactly "crazy fast" I'm talking about here? Well, something something 328 km/h without the slipstream and this car would have more to come with a longer straight kind of crazy fast. This is, thus far, the absolutely fastest car I've tried in terms of raw top speed, and the power also manifests in terms of acceleration; though, admittedly, it checks out since this car has 608 horsepower under the hood, so no surprises there.
The surprise comes with the handling, which is nearly perfect with this car: maybe slightly understeery, but that's nothing too important + the car also has tons of grip, except in second gear but that's to be expected with that much power. So, yeah, amazing also here.
As I already mentioned, acceleration is incredible on every gear (the car has 5 gears btw), and brakes, well, you need to break a bit earlier than normal, but for a car that can go to almost 330 km/h it could have been much worse, I'm overall extremely surprised.

Economy wise... well, the car doesn't lose grip so tyres are good, fuel... I had to refuel at the end of lap 6 with FM1 and no short shifting. You can run easily a one stopper, but... well, fuel economy is far from being amazing, that's for sure. No loss of performance overall though.

And now we come to the absolutely strongest point of this car, the lap times: 2:07.1. Yes, this car is more than two seconds faster per lap than the fastest cars I've tried thus far, and I'm confident I could even hit 2:06s if I were to grind it a bit more. There isn't going to be a car beating that lap time any time soon, I can tell you that much.

Final thoughts: this car may not be the best for grinding due to fuel economy, but with an overall time of 26:40, this car is amazing.

Nissan 300 ZX twin turbo: a bootleg Countach, basically

Well, I expected something better from this car, but in the end I was slightly disappointed.
So, first of all, let's start from top speed: this car, like to Countach, tops at 328 km/h, but there's a catch: it overrevs like crazy, the gearing is not nearly as good as the Lambo's for this track, and it can't go any faster than that without slipstream, that's for sure.
Handling wise... oh boy, this car is bad: no understeer, this car likes to do the opposite, aka oversteer and wheelspin like crazy. And I can tell you, it's not fun, especially on tyres, but I'll get to them later.
Brakes are a hot pile of garbage, and acceleration, as expected from a turbocharged car, is... not good. The car takes some time to get up to speed, and while it eventually does, it has the classic turbo lag problems every turbocharged car from the 90s has.

Economy wise, this car is just bad: need to fuel save just to go on a one stop strategy, tyres that wear out fast because no traction, this car is just a nightmare in terms of economy overall. Be prepared to have lots of patience with it.

Lap times wise, I was expecting something better also here, though this car is still fast: 2:08.9 is still faster than everything but the Lambo. However, this car is far from being consistent in its performance, so expect your lap times to drop once you are close to the end of your stint.

Final thoughts: yeeeeeaaaahhhh this car is not one I'd recommend. Yes it's fast, but it's also inconsistent and painful to manage, not something I like to have in my car :/

As always, thanks for reading my ramblings, for tomorrow I have planned some stuff I'm interested to try out. If you have any request, feel free to leave it in this thread (no legendary dealership requests, though, it's hard/nearly impossible for me to fulfill them), I will try that car out and do my best with it. Stay safe everybody, and I'll see you tomorrow ^_^

Took the Toyota Supra to victory. Normal difficulty.

Over 600hp, really blasts down the straights. Utilizing leaner FM to control the tyre wear and overall balance, otherwise it drives quite nicely.

With these times I think I could be competitive in Hard mode. I will make a video on my Diablo in hard mode when I get the chance.

Do you have a tune or list of parts added?

Do you have a tune or list of parts added?
I forgot to screen shot the tune, but essentially it's medium turbo, racing intercooler/filter/manifold.

Racing brake pads, stock discs.

All the engine bolt ons, stroke up, cams etc.

Front and rear aero, I think 80/150
Suspension quite soft, 2.2 spring harmonics.

3/2 swaybars, although I might increase both a step.

Mid range damper adjustment front and rear on the scale.

LSD is set mild, 10/35/20 or so.

SH tyres.

I actually need to get the screenshot of it when I get home later, I swear I couldn't get under 600pp with that much power before.

Just avoid using old cars, they simply don't have the stats to take on this event. Don't, and I repeat, do not use such old cars for this race.
Depends... Several old cars will school new cars with the right build. The De Tomaso Pantera is very fast, the Miura is one of the best cars, and the Mustang Boss 429 is surprisingly stable and good.

Certain FWD cars are also very fast but generally you don't want an FWD car for this event.

I had been struggling to filled the void left by Tomahawk X 600pp setup until I found the following setup above and adopted it. By using it, I had won the race and realized this is the car and setup I needed.

Thanks for the 2J tune m8👍
The 2J is very twitchy with CM tyres and requires precise throttle and steering inputs.
Just gotta find the right balance on this track and some quick times are on the cards!
Got a 2:03 FL on my first go earlier, so a run under 2 mins is in my sights!

Funnily enough, the Pantera is my go-to car for the Clubman Cup +.

Chaparral 2J maxes out at 354km/h down the straight.

Two stops, lap 4 i change to soft competition tires, and lap 8 i change again. You have to refuel at every stop.

What do you class as soft competion tyres? You cant change to a tyre that will raise your pp rating. Also is the suspension height raised to its max?

¿Qué clasifica como neumáticos blandos de competición? No puede cambiar a un neumático que aumente su índice de pp. ¿También se eleva la altura de la suspensión al máximo?
if you can and do not increase the pr. You have to start with IM and at the stop you can switch to soft competition.
traction control to 1.

You can change to a tyre that increases PP as long as the new PP is still within the set limit, it just means you have started with a lower PP to begin with.

It's not the same pp, it has to be a game failure
