So, no skipping reviews today, and I've got two very interesting cars:
Lamborghini Countach 25th anniversary: the king is dead, long live the king
Yes, that's me wheeling right there, the reason being this car is crazy fast and doesn't have lots of front downforce. So, how exactly "crazy fast" I'm talking about here? Well, something something 328 km/h without the slipstream and this car would have more to come with a longer straight kind of crazy fast. This is, thus far, the absolutely fastest car I've tried in terms of raw top speed, and the power also manifests in terms of acceleration; though, admittedly, it checks out since this car has 608 horsepower under the hood, so no surprises there.
The surprise comes with the handling, which is nearly perfect with this car: maybe slightly understeery, but that's nothing too important + the car also has tons of grip, except in second gear but that's to be expected with that much power. So, yeah, amazing also here.
As I already mentioned, acceleration is incredible on every gear (the car has 5 gears btw), and brakes, well, you need to break a bit earlier than normal, but for a car that can go to almost 330 km/h it could have been much worse, I'm overall extremely surprised.
Economy wise... well, the car doesn't lose grip so tyres are good, fuel... I had to refuel at the end of lap 6 with FM1 and no short shifting. You can run easily a one stopper, but... well, fuel economy is far from being amazing, that's for sure. No loss of performance overall though.
And now we come to the absolutely strongest point of this car, the lap times: 2:07.1. Yes, this car is more than two seconds faster
per lap than the fastest cars I've tried thus far, and I'm confident I could even hit 2:06s if I were to grind it a bit more. There isn't going to be a car beating that lap time any time soon, I can tell you that much.
Final thoughts: this car may not be the best for grinding due to fuel economy, but with an overall time of 26:40, this car is amazing.
Nissan 300 ZX twin turbo: a bootleg Countach, basically
Well, I expected something better from this car, but in the end I was slightly disappointed.
So, first of all, let's start from top speed: this car, like to Countach, tops at 328 km/h, but there's a catch: it overrevs like crazy, the gearing is not nearly as good as the Lambo's for this track, and it can't go any faster than that without slipstream, that's for sure.
Handling wise... oh boy, this car is bad: no understeer, this car likes to do the opposite, aka oversteer and wheelspin like crazy. And I can tell you, it's not fun, especially on tyres, but I'll get to them later.
Brakes are a hot pile of garbage, and acceleration, as expected from a turbocharged car, is... not good. The car takes some time to get up to speed, and while it eventually does, it has the classic turbo lag problems every turbocharged car from the 90s has.
Economy wise, this car is just bad: need to fuel save just to go on a one stop strategy, tyres that wear out fast because no traction, this car is just a nightmare in terms of economy overall. Be prepared to have lots of patience with it.
Lap times wise, I was expecting something better also here, though this car is still fast: 2:08.9 is still faster than everything but the Lambo. However, this car is far from being consistent in its performance, so expect your lap times to drop once you are close to the end of your stint.
Final thoughts: yeeeeeaaaahhhh this car is not one I'd recommend. Yes it's fast, but it's also inconsistent and painful to manage, not something I like to have in my car :/
As always, thanks for reading my ramblings, for tomorrow I have planned some stuff I'm interested to try out. If you have any request, feel free to leave it in this thread (no legendary dealership requests, though, it's hard/nearly impossible for me to fulfill them), I will try that car out and do my best with it. Stay safe everybody, and I'll see you tomorrow ^_^
