I do not think this is the case.
I suppose you and the people you have worked with are educated.
Occasionally, they will say that they do not have tablespoons and refer him to a soup spoon in which he is perfectly okay with.Maybe he better ask for a "soupspoon".
I'm starting to think this is the case. They just may know that it irks him.Perhaps its a running prank on your father? Even uneducated people know the difference between a tablespoon and teaspoon.
Real friends dont need to be talked to everyday, when you do talk again its like the conversation never ended. Those type of friends that expect you to talk to them everyday on social media then give you effortless one word replies. Never the ones who check up on you, or make conversation, it’s always about them.
Then when you don’t inbox them for a day they go all moody and claim that you’re not making effort with them, and claim that they deserve more respect.
Why should I make effort with someone who gives me blunt replies back constantly? Puts me on a downer, and I’ve been mates with them for years so it isn’t easy to get rid of them either. I’m stuck. 🤬 I’d rather them not message me at all than to get a blunt reply, it’s exhausting.
Spot on! What’s so hard to understand about that? Like I have time to come up with conversation all day long, I call it ‘filler text’ when I’ve got nothing to talk about. Should only be a conversation there, when there is an actual subject to be talking about. And, that person complained because they sent me ‘haha’ before so I ignored it then they said I should give them more respect just because I ignored a one word reply. How am I meant to reply to that?Real friends dont need to be talked to everyday, when you do talk again its like the conversation never ended.
With great difficulty I’m probably not qualified to give advice on that, if my friends were like that I wouldn’t have any friends .Spot on! What’s so hard to understand about that? Why does that annoy you? It wasn’t over text. It was on Facebook messenger. (Still, same thing but I hear more people using the word, “inbox” for Facebook than I do text.) Tbh, I don’t think I’ve ever heard the term, “inbox” for text messages. The term "inbox" when meaning to message annoys me.

Yeah I guess I can come to an understanding with what you mean. I guess I just say it out of habit. Because I use to use the term ‘inbox’ all the time when I was in Secondary school, it’s kinda stuck with me.I don't think the medium matters, SMS, Whatsapp, Facebook... whatever.. infact, looking at my facebook interface, it's not even called an inbox any more.
I just find it irritating... "like inbox me, we'll totes go for an avocado frap"... the word message was fine.
Always.So, google is listening...
And Shem. Don’t forget Shem is always listening. And watching. I watch you too.
As a father to an autistic son and daughter, and knowing how difficult public transport is for them, when/if they use it, I would hope that strangers would be able to be good samaritans and take a little time out of their day to help them if needed, I would consider it extremely rude myself to not feel like helping someone for directions if I was asked, just for one example it really wouldn’t matter how well they planned and trust me they do this meticulously, the sensory difficulties associated with public transport mean for them that the best made plans just dont work.Public Transport
When people are lost on public transport and they ask other paying public transport users for directions or where to go it is not the publics responsibility to answer or to help they should ask staff or call customer service and people should stop talking to strangers on public transport and it should be considered rude to ask customers for help. People should make a travel plans before going anywhere.

So for me the true is opposite with what confuses/annoys me, will never understand an unhelpful attitude whatever the circumstance, not everything is black and white - I guess the lesson is not everyone gets lost because they didnt prepare or make travel plans.

I've stated this before, but apparently it doesn't matter so I've given up on expecting quality content in here. But it's always a plus when there is.What confuses and annoys me is when the Things that confuse/annoy you thread becomes the What Grinds Your Gears? thread and will probably get banished for the same reason...
I'm too timid to enforce my thread topic. I bet that grinds someone's gears. But some folks get what the thread is for and I enjoy their posts.I've stated this before, but apparently it doesn't matter so I've given up on expecting quality content in here. But it's always a plus when there is.
But is grinding one's gears not a synonym for annoyance? What confuses and annoys me is when the Things that confuse/annoy you thread becomes the What Grinds Your Gears? thread and will probably get banished for the same reason...
grinds my gears
Something that makes you mad. Or really annoyed.
