Things You Want To See In GT6 Besides Vehicles and Tracks

Would people actually use it, though? As far as I know, Autovista was a tiny thing in Forza (unless it was being updated regularly, I don't follow Forza news at all) and not many people were 'excited' about it.

Maybe it's different in GT community...

It was probably because there were only a small handful of them. Just assuming BTW.

Aren't most of us car enthusiasts though? Opening the car door and seeing the plush leather (or rollcage for race cars), the shift knob, steering wheel, and other features gives a greater sense of ownership IMO. The GT series isn't just about racing. It's a virtual car encyclopedia IMO, where you can drive almost anything from econoboxes to oddballs to supercars. The ability to see the entire interior and even the engine bay (might be a stretch) further enforces one of GT's strongest points.

Yeah, I'm an absolute car freak and would love to see them detailed interiors not only when I'm racing (or glitching the game:grumpy:). I can't recall many games giving us descriptions of every single car included in them, too...

Another one of those things that I just love about GT. Even the standards having the descriptions just shows their passion for everything automotive. I honestly learn something new every time 👍

I would like to see the option of adding a blue, red or amber lightbar to any vehicle along with white strobes to front and rear bumber. And an proper ON/OFF switch for said lights, possibly mapped to flash highbeams button.

And a SAFETY CAR/PACE CAR/MEDICAL decal to front and rear windows.

BUT NO SIREN!

That way we could have different powered safety cars for different car classes. ie, red Audi R8 for LMPs and Nissan GT-R for SuperGT cars.

Or just give us a working safety car from the get go.

The ability to look around the car interior was fun in Test Drive Unlimited 2 (despite many of the game's other flaws.) If GT is going to bother with six trillion polygons to model the car's interior we should at least get the option to look around in it.

If you mean full 360 degree look inside the interior I can get ya. But we have a similar option in the form of look left and look right (I assigned those to the left and right directional buttons respectively) alongside look back (L1 default) which sort of allows you to look around inside the car.

I have a few small details I would like added.

1. Livery editor for cars, racing suits and helmets. You then choose from a range of pre-designed liveries and edit the colours like in Grid. In this way you can apply famous liveries (John Player, Martini etc) to whatever car you want without licensing issues.

2. The option to colour code trim, side mirror and wings. This includes the option to change chrome grills, model name badges and trim to matte black. You should also be able to remove the OEM wing from the car. It also includes the option to replace the trim, mirrors or wing with carbon fiber versions, this also applies to standard body panels and fender flares.

3. If you race modify your car, your name and national flag appears on the car like it does on most real life race cars. In B-spec it will be your AI drivers name instead.

I do really like this idea. It would give a somewhat personalized feel, even if a livery editor is not included...

Yeah, +1. Very good idea. Nothing cooler than having your car stand out among the crowd :sly:

Something we NEED is a paint preview on our cars. I can't be the only one that gets annoyed when they put a paint on their car then dislike it and have wasted a paint.

I'm not sure if this has been added yet, but I'd love to see real world tuner company engines or upgrades available, AMS Evo 9 and X engine or NovitecRosso tuning for Ferrari. That'd be cool

P.D must fix the B.S. time trial system. I do not want to have my next 5 laps invalidated by slipping out on the last corner, especially on the Ring.

Absolutely! If the next lap is invalid, it's just one lap and not the next and the one after and the one after...

Well. Aside from that why even invalidate the next lap if you clearly effed up your current lap. Just invalidate the current lap and not the next, it makes no sense!!!!! :yuck:

This B.S. is especially annoying on the Nurburgring 24hr and Nordschleiffe courses :grumpy:

Indeed it is.... I was doing the Nurb 24h Time Trial and I messed up on the last corner before the straightaway. I just quit.... it was going to be a really good time, but I'm not spending another 8 min. racing...

Agree... But if they put a color wheel in the GT6 instead of the color chips, we probably won't deal with that system anymore anyway.

Actually, I would prefer a more compromised paint system. You could start with the basic color wheel, but still be able to collect paint chips if you want a specific color for your car.

I prefer colour chips. Its the most fun system or me. Screw colour wheel!

If you like to trade or earn the colors available to you then sure it's great! But if you're someone like myself who just wants to be able to color my car freely, it becomes quite aggravating :grumpy:

I like this idea. Having a basic color wheel with say 256 standard colors, but then relying on paint chips for the specialties like chrome, pearlescent etc...

Better "cheater-prevention" mechanism. How the **** does one achieve a time of 0.00.033 seconds on Nurb. 24 Hour Time Trial?!??!!?!?!?

~EDIT~

Took out the last part.... don't want to start a modders/cheaters war in this thread.

Someone actually did that?
