I agree to an extent but logically speaking it would be logical to have realism if GT is set around being a simulator. That's there main pitch about the series. As for nitrous, I can agree on that being implemented but meth injection would be cool too. As for the tires, they're working with Pirelli (dont quote me on this) to make a more realistic tire model so we'll have to see how all that has changed.

Yes, but no matter what, you can't have absolute realism. There will always be some glitch to completely throw it out the window.

Or both, why not.

I wasn't complaining about the 'realistic' tire model, I was complaining on how the AI had access to parts otherwise impossible for legitimate obtaining. I mean, come on. They could have a Level 5 turbo and everything. Insane, and just outright unfair.

Yea I know what you mean about the AI and I wish we were in their shoes at times but nitrous and meth would be sick. I'm not really asking for absolute realism here but I just want more power on cars that can easily make upwards of what they have now in GT5. That's all I'm saying.

I haven't read the entire thread but I'm sure it's been mentioned. I'm still new to Gt5 but coming up on ONLY 400 cars I'd love an actual "Car Collectors" garage. Something with maybe 2 sections (wings) and 5 floors with a shop area and even a driveway. After all, if we are to own, drive, maintain and repair so many expensive pieces of machinery we are most likely very rich and can afford to house (organize) our collection.

5 floor parking garage. (Of which i can label / name them ). When returning from a drive or race I could pick which floor to park on. I'm sure we all would like a way to orgaianze our cars beyond drivetrain or year. We all have favorites but that's a mighty vauge term.

Top Floor : My Absolute Favorites. Tuned, perfect color, ready for my online room, drifting, or Seasonals.

4th Floor : My great cars. ALL already tuned. I'm thinking this would be a busy floor

3rd Floor : My Collectibles. Cars I felt the need to own, rarely drive but shouldn't be mixed in with my tuned racing cars.

2nd Floor : Lots and Lots of cars that haven't been given a promotion yet.

1st Floor : divided into a few areas.
New Arrivals : recently purchased UCD and such
Tuning Shop : cars in the process of being tuned

My Driveway : of course in front of my house. Holds 3-5 cars max. My absolute GO TO cars that I could select right from GT HOME without even going into my garage.

I would never substitute this for PD's search system.

Oh how I would love a section for notes! Notes about a car, the tune, etc

A driving Log : being in any of my cars and being able to see where it's been, raced, what type of race, how it placed and the lap times it ran.

A track log : same thing. What cars have I brought here, how did they do.

Ohhhhh... And better sounds. Early in Gt5 I was kinda bummed by the exhaust, car sounds. I've played plenty other racing games but recently I have come to appreciate PD's exhaust sounds. Not being overdone or amplified to all sound like race cars. Many, MANY cars have a sound that I appreciate. I do think there is plenty to expand on. Especially when adding parts.

That's my rant for tonight. I have so many cars that I wish I had time to drive, tune, race...not enough time for them all :-)

Love this community!

If PD would not address 'Hybridding' as cheating or hacking their game, unless the hybrid car is unrealistic (e.g. 5000HP car), then I would be glad to see that.

Expanding on this, PD could go down the Grid 2 route and give the game two save files: on one, people can mod and hybrid all they want, but they are locked out of online play; and the other is a regular save.

Knowing this likely won't happen, all that's needed to kill off the million-horsepower freaks is more freely-adjustable online regulations. We should be able to set all different types of reg at the same time.

- Ability to loading another car without leaving the race or loading another race without changing car.
- Indicate the type of gearbox, original angle rotation of the steering wheel and the number of shifts for each car
- A extern view nearest the car and more dynamic (like PGR or Forza), ability to turn around the car.
- Invent an efficient rewind (rewinds of occidentals racing games are too heavy and slow)
- Remove the boring Gran Turismo mode or make interesting races this time

edit : After seeing the Raitziger's signature, I would add the 900 degrees animation of the steering wheel I do not understand why this is not here, I'm sure this animation was available in a previous version (GT5 prologue ?).

Or as you said, just fix the PP system and the Open Lobby setup parameters to allow simultaneous HP/PP/Weight discrimination and problem solved without having to limit anyone's experience in any way.

I'd like to get credit for making good moves on the race track ie driving a great line, making a risky pass, or quality driving. Just a thought....

i don't know if mentioned already but clans and clan tags. also lesser time to fuel NASCARs I takes like 2 mins to fill tank, IRL it takes 12 seconds

This I completely agree on. If we had actual real life true to specs power, there would be no need to even do it so less 100,000 hp redbulls and civics and more 700 hp Evo's and 1200 hp GTR's

And maybe at least the unrealistic modified cars can only be used offline or in lobbies that are made specifically for modded vehicles. That way the modders can still share their insane cars in races with their friends, while they keep it real in 'legit' public lobbies.

Perfectly put +1

A couple of things:

No museum cards, or at least not ones that fill up your game save data.
A button that allows you to add all reversable modifications, clutch, gears, etc without having to select each one individually. And one that allows you to fully upgrade all items including engine and weight reduction.

Only a couple of months to go.

Assuming there is some enhanced painting features or at least a rudimentary livery editor even if it's only stripes, numbers and a couple of stickers, the ability to save designs or paint schemes so they don't have to be duplicated every single time from scratch.

Kaz said something about adding your own images during Gamescom. What types of images you can use are unknown as of yet (Classic P.D Mysterious answers).

I really hope they throw away penalties. Oh my god. The constant rage felt when I made a perfect turn and it was tarnished because I was one pixel off into the 'penalty zone' made me almost think of Micro Machines V4.

And that game. is. GODLY hard.

I want the option to turn off animations. I don't want to wait for 40 seconds to see my car roll up after buying it. I miss the first Gran Turismo where you press buy and hear a two-second jingle, and that's all that happens. The GT Auto animations are too long as well. I timed it from the point of buying a car and doing both restorations, or an oil change if the car is new, is a full two minutes at least. That's a LOT of wasted time. Hours that could be spent driving instead of wishing I could turn off animations.

Add to that the endless button pushing in the tuning garage when a checklist would work just as well and be much faster and you have to be up over 5 minutes at least. Doesn't sound like much but we know many of us have collected hundreds of cars, some of us over 1000. 1000 cars is over 80 hours or two work weeks just pressing buttons and watching needless animations.

I want to see on-track tuning so we don't have to back out to the tuning screen every time we want to adjust car settings.

You have to leave the race to tune the car, that way when you go back on track the settings will already be saved, and the game can load the new ones onto the car.

Going to reverse using pads and dedicated servers, no more P2P. (collisions will be collisions and racing more realistic)

Yes. Or if they don't completely remove them, at least make it so you can hilariously fast forward past it. At least so it's not as annoying. And maybe instead of just bringing a single car you just go to the tune/GT shop and then get what you want for any car and then GTFO. Would save so much more time.

Or, you could select an incredible high number of tuning parts to buy, and then install all of them on the cars that you can put said parts on. Saving even MORE time.

You had to pay to play on GT5 Online?

That's what I meant by checklist, sorry, should have detailed it a bit. 👍

P2P is "person to person", not "pay to play":sly:
