Things You Want To See In GT6 Besides Vehicles and Tracks

The main ones for me would have to be:
1) Give the game a more lively feel. I remember an early trailer of GT5 in which members of the crew were hanging over the pit wall cheering the car through to the flag, and it looked great. Improved AI also plays a role in this, but louder crowd sound, yellow flags, green flags, team radio, perhaps a voice guiding the user through the interface, that kind of thing.
2) Optional safety cars, warm-up laps etc, would really help it become more of a "racing simulator" as well as a driving simulator, which PD has rather lacked in a little over the last few years. Emphasis on the optional, as some (if not the majority) of players are casual without the time for these processions.
3) Accurate mechanical damage, and the potential to have DNF's- This would add a level of a care and finesse to the general GT player's experience, and would (if turned on in the server options) reduce players using barriers to their advantage, and also to provide more of a challenge to the player in general.
4) Faster and more reactive AI- Similar AI to that of Project Cars or Game Stock Car 2013 would be a dream come true, and would definitely give the game more longevity. Personally this is needed for me as I live in Australia, home to a pretty bad broadband network. With faster AI, it would also encourage more tuning and purchase of cars, which would give more use to features that are sometimes overlooked as they are not always essential to winning.
5) Bring back endurance races, especially those of 2-3 hours in length. For such a 'comprehensive' tire and fuel usage simulation, it is a shame that it is not able to be explored through races in which it matters.
6) Keep adding races into career mode, giving the game even more value for money.
 
Hello everyone, first of all this is not a rant about GT6, I want to see PD's franchise be succesful and compete with the best sims on the market.

I have been sim racing now on wheel for 5-6 years but have always played GT from the first version but bought my first wheel playing GT5P.

What I want to do is give a list of changes to GT6 that I think would make GT6 a better experience for us all to play and enjoy.

I thought it would be a good idea to post up a list of changes in the hope of PD seeing it and to have a rethink of some of the things in the game.

1. Sound - This has been an issue for a very long time now, even on the PS3 a decent car sound should be possible, maybe PD was to ambitious and tried to give us a more complex sound system that just doesnt seem to work. Personally I think they should of stuck to a more conventional method like what rFactor has.

2. Performance Points and Engine Limiter - The PP system has had some work done to it already but since this game claims to be a sim then I think it should be approached in a different method, such as completely removing the Engine Limiter and then focusing on making each car exactly how they should be in real life after all it is much more fun to see these cars compete against each other in their natural form.

3. Better choice in cars - After playing other sim's for about a year I have realised that quality over quantity is the best method for a sim. IMO PD should take out all standard cars and return the most popular cars as premium DLC. PD should make a better choice in cars from the list of manufactures they already have. Cars that have legendary legacy should be in this title such as the RUF RGT-8, RUF RT 35, M3 E30, Ford Escort Mexico MK I, Ford Capri, Mercedes SL65 Black Edition, Ferrari F360 to name but afew. These cars had very good race versions too!

4. Custom parts - Each upgrade should have PP on them so that people can tune their cars to a specific PP, Wider rims means more grip that alot of cars need to be able to compete against the faster cars.

5. Custom Liveries - Would be a great feature added to the GT franchise, I'm sure alot of people would be happy with this. I for one would be able to have number plates in GT :)

I am sure that if PD could implement these changes into GT6 alot of people would appreciate the change and would probably get more peoples attention. Obviously GT7 on PS4 would be more appealing to alot of people out their because of the graphics but under the skin it would be screaming pure quality sim.

Let's have a sensible discussion here please guys and remember this is not a rant, I just want PD to carry on going in the right direction. Adding an Engine Limiter was going in the wrong direction IMHO.

BTW I think every car should be able to be converted into a race mod with all the upgrades available.

1 - Tire pyrometer and tire pressure adjustments so that we can use the camber adjustment in a meaningful way. Was implemented quite nicely in Grand Prix Legends such that when you came into the pits during testing or time trialing, you could see three position tire temps (inside edge, middle, outside edge) and then make pressure and camber adjustments to accommodate. Throw another couple of laps down and then come back in to see if the temps had equalized over the three points

2 - Better engine noise as everyone else has mentioned

3 - Amended performance points system to take tires into account as well as customer parts that don't affect power but will affect laptime i.e. LSD, custom suspension, adjustable transmission etc.
 
I wish when we buy a car from the dealership that you could change the factory options ( at least the visual and performance option ) because some of the factory option look pretty cool.
 
I would like one championship editor for offline and online and it would be like this:

Online
1-Give the championship a name
2- select the tracks, number of laps and qualifying time, Choose also on wath day each event will take place
3- Select the Cars that can enter, select the max PP and also HP
4- choose if the cars can be tuned, and if yes you could also choose what can be installed
5- Select what driving aids can be used
6- The championship is saved and shared only with the ones that we want to be a part of it, the participants add to download the custom championish locked and can only be editer by the owner
7- if there was for example more than 16 players that wanted to enter the championship we could enable one option to set a second lobby.
If there where two lobbys then in the end of both races all the times of first and second lobby would appear and the classification would be given comparing the times of both lobbys, distributing this way the points.
8- The file will then be automaricly overwriten with the classification.
9- if any of the participants doesnt race one event then it will appear a notice once it connects gt6 to internet that he missed the race and the file would be updated with the classifications on is PS3.
10- At the end of the championship the .cr would be given for all, 1st,2nd and 3rd places in the individual races would win extra credits appart from the championship prize
 
Blown tyre from collisions or contact or going off track.
I think they should go one better and make the driver get out and kick the blown tyre in disgust after the car has stopped.
That would also add a wee bit of humour to the game IMO.
PS.They can also "if possible",add a thought bubble to the driver(while kicking the tyre) shouting profanities at said tyre like f*#@+$! s%!t.
 
How 'bout lawnmowers? Or the ability to purchase bananas and then run your car on them?

Honestly, I think all we need now is the sound updates PD has been talking about. But I'd much rather have the banana idea.
 
Online Nurburgring record challenges. eg. The Renault megane RS trophy is the current production hatch record holder around the ring, a challenge to achieve the record time would be brilliant.

Could be possible but some of those recorded laps are insainly fast.
 
How bout more aggressive AI and it would be also be cool to have flashing lights on your car to distract the drivers in front. Also 24 hour races not 24 minute races.
 
If you haven't listed it yet then I'd strongly recommend sharing of vehicles particulary but ALL items, suits, paint, etc would be great! Particularly if it were implanted in the series going forward. That enhances the community experience.
 
Can will we get the RA function working properly for the Thurstmaster T500RS wheel, an official wheel shouldn't be the last wheel to get caught up with the others to work properly. Thanks

If you mean the media server...it is still the same process as transferring to a usb manually. Exiting the game...etc etc

No the PS3 server program for the Pc where you can access its HDD at any time as long as its on.

I found it useful, i used it during the game. In GT5, as soon as its exported, you could access it straight away via server. Cutting down time to in plug and re plug in USB
