Things You Want To See In GT6 Besides Vehicles and Tracks

My 2 cents worth...

1) Tyre width choices! (Putting different rims on a car usually means your wheels are wider!)

2) Tyre pressure choices!

3) Grid starts! ("Chasing the rabbit" is frustratingly unsatisfying!)

4) A default setting for individual parts in tuning menu!

5) Oil change option when in a lobby!

6) Either a pre-set option for what suit/helmet we wear for each car or the ability to change it in a lobby! Wearing Ayrton Senna's race suit in a NASCAR or a rally driver's suit in a FGT car just doesn't cut it!

7) If we aren't going to get a livery editor, at least let us put numbers and stripes on ANY car, standard or premium!

7a) If, in a lobby, two people enter identical cars in a race (eg. #65 Corvette), give them a choice of a different number so that there aren't two totally visually identical cars in the race!

7b) Personalised number plates with PSN I.D. would be nice too!

8) Taking into consideration there's a guy with a chequered flag at the END of a race, how about a guy with a green flag at the start and a white flag to signal the last lap!?

9) Instead of "ghosting" a car to signify a penalty (it's frustrating for other drivers), the offending driver's car gets "pulled" into the pits where the driver must serve a Stop/Go Penalty!

10) If a driver is too reckless during qualifying and imposes penalties upon themselves, make them start from the pits!

11) If a double file rolling start is chosen by a room owner, there should be a Pace Car to send the racers on their way! BTW, Nissan is not the only car used a Pace Car, so there should be a larger choice of said Pace Cars!

12) I have my controller set to be able to turn off the ghost when doing something that my on-line friends have already done or to turn off my own ghost! I use it too!! So tell me, PD, why the 🤬 does my 🤬 ghost reappear 5 🤬 seconds after I've 🤬 turned the 🤬 off??? It 🤬 s***s me to tears! :banghead::banghead:

Many points above me I could agree with. !

About 7* , the livery editor, I had an idea yesterday that also could work for slightly better looking cars.

RondaEditted.jpg

This picture I editted because I don't like the Megane Base model that much, when painting the car, the area between the door and rear-side window won't stay black /carbon as it is before painting it. It really disturbs the beauty lines of this car.

Well, that's why I got this idea ; Wouldn't be nice to get the options to add secondary colors on the cars? Like the front wing, I editted also in black/grey for more aggresive looks on this car. Choose if you want to spray your rims AND several body parts in an different color. Like the mirrors, roof, and rear wing (end plates), how nice would it look like with the orange color not only on the rims anymore? Or just make all these parts 'carbon'? On yellow and red cars it could be a very agressive twotone livery then :)
Depends how much you want to spray in an secondary color, you have to pay more and more. A decal/striping shop would finish your livery and because we talk about stickers, you won't need extra paintchips to get your favourite color.

I think it's enough to play with and get terific color schemes for one make races or GT-championships :)

How did you get this to happen?
Don't know, I was getting the RA function screen to pop up but it was simi ghost and you couldn't adjust it only see it. The night before I posted this I was in ib and it started working, then I went online to test it and it wasn't working simi ghost screen as before.

Being able to select multiple cars in your garage to do various things like; oil change, rigidy restore, painting the car's body/wheels (if possible), buying specific tuning parts (if possible) all at once.

It would of sure helped me last night spending over five hours painting and tuning my cars to look identical for online similarity.

Hi, me again...
I have more to add!

13) If we buy a convertible (cabriolet), we should be able to race it with the roof off! Or have the option!!

14) The ability to paint ANY part of the car whatever colour we want! For example, green body, red front quarter panels, matte black bonnet (to prevent sun glare), yellow rear spoiler, orange front splitter...

15) Wheels...

15a) Different size rims for the back* wheels.

15b) Different style rims for the back* wheels.

15c) Different width rims for the back* wheels.

15d) Different colour paint option for the back* wheels.

(* - could also be for the front wheels, your choice)

16) Should we have no actual livery editor, a "sponsor" decal shop should be available to us to be accessed via the paint shop!

17) If we decide to add decals and numbers to a cabriolet, we should then have a roll cage made available and, for those who like to drag race, wheelie bars!

18) Instead of having "sparkles" at the end of a race, those that finish with a podium placing actually have the stage and podium to stand on! This would be good for photos and to show off our full racing suit! In online lobbies, it should only be implemented for rooms that have the "race for real" classification and qualifying enabled!! But it should be in ALL seasonal events and ALL career mode races! (No long, drawn out presentations, just the drivers holding up a trophy - gold, silver or bronze - and showing a crowd of cheering spectators)

19) Individual volume slide controls for tyre squeal and ambient sounds (birds, water, competitors cars).

20) Should we own identical cars for whatever reason and we have purchased tuning parts for one, those parts should be able to be shared with the other vehicle!

21) GT, GT2, GT3 and GT4 had a simple and easy to use way of scrolling through the cars during a replay - D-pad up or down... Easy! Now, we have to press a button, move either left or right, press X, choose the car/driver and press X again! What a waste of time!!! :banghead:

22) Photo mode in a replay used to have the trackside replay camera as the first option and now it's not even an option at all! Why is it so?

14) The ability to paint ANY part of the car whatever colour we want!
I really agree with this as I'd like to paint the painted bit of the interior on the Abarth 500 as it automatically goes to the body colour, I'd like to paint the car black put a red roof and red painted part of the interior. This would also be great if they added the Citroen DS3 as in real life there's loads of colour options for it and like the 500 there is a painted part of the interior.

Yes, it's me again, I have a bit more!

23) In the online lobby, the menu bar, from left to right, reads as...
Go to track - Watch race - Enter event / Chat - Member list / Save race - Race placings / Event settings - Garage - Driving options - Car settings - EXIT
/ / / / / / / / / / / / / / /
Some people are a bit slower than others at navigating this menu and end up missing out on a race because they were too busy pressing 🤬 buttons or because their internet connection made their button pressing a little less responsive than time would allow!
/ / / / / / / / / / / / / / /
Therefore, it should read...
Go to track - Watch race - Enter event / Car settings - Driving options - Garage - Event settings / Chat - Member list / Save race - Race placings - EXIT

Iconic cars from movies that had an influence on car culture , such as the General Lee, Kit, and primarily , the Eclipse, Supra, Evolution, & Skyline driven by Brian O'conner in the F&F movie series . Or at least some downloadable custom skins to place on their 'base models'. Not just for him, but all influential iconic cars of decades past that pay homage & tribute to car lovers of that era in pure GT fashion. That' would be a massive movement in a cool direction in my oinion .
Excellent idea!!

I just want the features that GT5 had, like a nice GT Auto, Speed Test, and the ability to tune a car without having to first get in it.
Yeh, its not hard to generate a dyno. He works with tuning companies who work from dynos to tune there cars, gear ratios, accel vs top speed, proper hp and torque figures not estimates - dyno runs vary. Handling is best done on track, but a test track would be better for that.

Obviously I didn't read every post word for word, but let's address the in game music. Once upon a time (GT3?) we could FF a song by hitting R2 or another assigned button. It also showed the artist and track briefly once a new song was playing.

A simple feature that comes in handy for the more annoying songs. Sometimes the annoying part is not easily found by playing the first little bit so the Gt5 music editor did little to help me weed out the bad tracks.

Lets make this simple for Kaz and PD seeing as they still didn't do most of these right since we complained about it in GT5...
1) ALL of the cars should be premium (Interior View)
2) Rim sizes in both diameter and width that actually effect the cars handling w/ independent front and rear size.
3) Better car sounds that are not just hisssssssss..... Also stop making the car next to me louder than the one I am in.
4) Stop duplicate models. How many R32, R33, R34 GTR, Evo, STI and other over repeated cars do we need. A list of 250-400 UNIQUE cars would be plenty.
5) ALL Cars should be able to be Race Modified.
6) A Credit structure that would allow me to buy said cars in about 60 hours of game play so that I can enjoy them online racing with my friends cause that is really where the enjoyment of this game is.
7) A real carrier mode, not this re-hashed 6 times over thing you call carrier.
8) Since PD and Kaz feel like charging us an additional fee to play the game.... As if buying there only game and being loyal players for 15 YEARS in a genre that is in decline to FPS and MMO, how about for $50 extra you unlock ALL of the cars rather than a miniscule 7million Cr. Lets face it do they think the current Cr. Pay to play structure is going to bring more people to the game?
9) FULL Maint. in lobby (Oil Change, Chassis Repair, Ect.)
10) Better livery system with FREE to paint. Allowing us to make our own colors would be awesome. Paint each part any color we like. Different Patterns and Pinstripe options, Let us choose our sponsor decals/size/location and give us extra Cr. for having them on our car. Lord knows the companies would pay PD real money for the advertisement.
11) Drift Racing in pairs with SCORE and round elimination for online lobby. (Limit 10 per Room)
12) A 4 Lane wide DRAG STRIP with lights and timers. (Limit 12 per room) Elimination is 4DriverX3 Take top 2 from each heat (6) to round 2 - 3Dx2Round - Top 2 drivers face off.
13) Some of the tracks we lost over the years. We all have favorites.
14) Bring back items to trade. If they do 1-12 it can be something other than cars. The trading cards we cool, but how about license plates from around the world or ones of people you have beaten in online races (assuming the livery system allows for vanity plates)? Kind of like a trophy

This game is about having fun with friends racing online. It should not be about GRINDING for months on pain staking end just to be able to enjoy a few hours a week of friendly competition. You want to keep us playing PD? Make it personal, fun and social. You want to sell more copies PD? MAKE IT FUN AND SOCIAL! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD (Or your choice of higher power) I miss the days of actually enjoying this game rather than the regurgitated grind my life away just to play that it has become.

-Kazunori reads-
Next Day....

Kazunori: You can expect that in a future update.... (GT9 he means)

Honestly, the whole livery thing is one of the ones I really want, that and a much more dynamic sound and I would be fine for now.

What really bugs me, is the lack of on-the-track tuning that NFS Shift 2 had. That was great, because you cut down on the time it takes to tune a car, and you can pinpoint EXACTLY what it is, that makes your car handle like garbage.

It took me 3 hours to tune my second AE86 for Tōge, and it still needs to be tuned.....

1. When buying cars, the game shouldn't tell you that you've acquired a new paint chip when you have already acquired it.

2. Rotating your player avatar manually when selecting gear pieces/colors.

3. The ability to save car tunes to you hard drive (and maybe send to friends), similarly to GT3's saving to your memory card. (And Copy/Pasting tunes from setup 1-3.)

4. Positive tire chamber. for, ya'know, the oval tracks.

5. Being able to see a detailed view of your car's power curve. Allows me to more efficiently tune my transmission. (Oh, and while I'm at it, why not add the top speed of each gear like it did in GT1.)

6. A detailed view of your car's specs while browsing through your garage and/or an option to tune a selected car from your garage.

7. Premium Daihatsu Midget D type '98 <3

Edit:

8. I'm reminded by Team THRT Drift's post about something super nifty Forza Motorsport 1 had. You were able to tune your car as you were diving it. Raise/drop your suspension, swap motors, adjust gear rations, tweak downforce, ect. all while in the pause menu of you driving at 200+ MPH down the track. It made for incredibly fast and efficient car tuning that just couldn't be beat.

  1. Wheel and Tyre Width modification option. It is absolutely ridiculous to put 17 in wheels on tyre that looks like its profile is 195/50/15
  2. More wheels, and wheel brands, IE SSR, Watanabe, Work, WEDS etc.
  3. Aeroparts from actual tuning companies. We already have Amuse and RE-Amemiya onboard so why not ask them to include their aeroparts catalogue in the game for their respective cars. Its essentially free advertising for them and it enhances the tuning/customization aspect of the game tenfold.
  4. Let us take photos UNDER THE BONNET. PD, you went to the trouble to model all that sexy engine work so why not let us pop the bonnet and take pictures of it?
  5. NISMO SKYLINE GTR Z-TUNE. I still cant believe this game has 100 different GTR's but the greatest GTR every created in the history of Nissan isnt featured. Incredible.
  6. Top Gear Test track. I want it back.
  7. Old F1 Cars. I know the Senna stuff is coming and thats great. Im talking older, like 50's, 60's era cars.
  8. Touge. I like mountain passes. Let us recreate some of that Initial D magic.
  9. Cars from Initial D. Maybe release a Car pack with a few of these cars that have been tweaked to look like the ones from Initial D. All the cars are already there, they just need to have little bits added to them like aero parts and wheels. PD would make a killing if they made this DLC. I would pay a fair amount of money if I could get my hand on good replicas of the cars from Initial D.
  10. GIVE US THE GALLERY VIEW OF ALL THE CARS, NOT JUST PREMIUM. I mean why not, even if the car's not modelled nicely, I still want to look at it in greater detail.
  11. Race suits from more drivers, Prost, Mansell, Schumacher, Hakkinen etc. Ayrton Senna avatar is feeling lonely.
  12. Race suits from Japanese drivers, IE, Keiichi Tsuchiya, Orido, Taniguchi, Hattori etc. Gran Turismo is really like Best Motoring the game, so why not have avatars of these guys?
  13. Gran Tursimo TV. I really liked the Best Motoring Vids you could buy. This is a really good outlet for them.
  14. Interactive engine/car modification tool. Let me see my parts being fitted to the engine.
  15. Engine Dyno/Car Dyno. That would be cool to differentiate between wheel horsepower and engine horsepower.
