Things You Want To See In GT6 Besides Vehicles and Tracks

What about renting cars
Say if you didn't have the money for a car you needed for an event you could rent it

Pick out of the "Recommended Cars". Could work by deducting credits from your earnings according to finishing order.

One simple request for PD:

For GT6, just make one intro and put that intro for the whole world, don't just have it for Japan only. The whole world wants Moon Over the Castle, not My Chemical Romance.

No, they don't. While PD's music choice has been pretty poor post GT2, Moon Over The Castle is no better. Everything Must Go and My Favorite Game are much better. Having said that, the GT5 intro is painfully overlong and I've never watched it from start to finish.

Although, I agree that those intros were great; I can't say they were better than "Moon Over the Castle", the Japanese intro of every GT game I've watched up to 5 seemed more epic than any of the other versions.

I stand by my opinion of it becoming the same intro for every GT game in the world. It should at least be an option for an intro for GT6 for us that don't want to put up with whatever other song they use if it turns out bad.

Anyway, I was in a irritated mood when I wrote that request and I didn't mean to write the "whole world wants moon over the castle" part. Of course, don't state you opinions as facts either; I've ran into a lot of people that prefer the japanese GT5 intro over the other one fyi. So, how can you be so sure that noone else would love to have the Moon Over the Castle intro for GT6?

Maybe its been mentioned somewhere in the past 140+ pages but I would love to have actual turbo lag on the cars finally. Simulating it with the powerband is a poor substitute.

Why, out of curiosity would you want turbo lag? I mentioned something close to this but essentially eliminating turbo lag. Now a days turbos have become more and more efficient, and the selection of turbos on the market make it possible to fit one to the size of the engine that will create great power without the lag...which is to say the least annoying...lag is old tech. No matter what your power or performance agenda is there is a turbo out there that has response, power and efficiency

Um, for the older cars that do have lag maybe?

I would like to see a proper brake balance setting where you can balance the brakes in a percentage ratio between front and back.
Brake upgrades, so being able to purchase bigger disks, and double or quad calipers.
Ability to set brake bias while driving.
Being able to fit a turbo or blower to any car.
Having access to telemetry.
A drag strip (std quarter mile) and a longer say 5km strip for top end runs.
Some of the old tracks from GT4 would also be nice.

This is possible, and actually really simple.

Brake upgrades, so being able to purchase bigger disks, and double or quad calipers.

:ouch: Which sort of car needs 4 calipers per rotor?

Ability to set brake bias while driving.

This is also already possible.

Being able to fit a turbo or blower to any car.

This is almost already completely possible. I can think of only a few examples in which it's not possible.

Having access to telemetry.

That's already possible. Having more telemetry would always be cool, but, I'm most worried with the visible telemetry. It'd be really cool if we could see the tires we take off of our cars, after we take them off, to analyze wear patterns/degradation, to assess our own camber.

So, in a sincere way, thanks for the idea of giving us more telemetry, that'd be a definite win. :)

Mentioned hundreds of times, I have absolutely no opinion.

Some of the old tracks from GT4 would also be nice.

Yes, they would.

I do not know if this was mentioned before, but a fully-functional drag mode, like the one that was supposed to appear on GT2, would be fun. Tuning our cars with drag slicks, and having drag competitions against other racers could be awesome as well. Gran Turismo has the tracks - Infineon, Las Vegas, the "supposed" Palm\Plam Strip, some Fuji Speedway drag (that's a long straightaway, so come on), and even an airport.

Gymkhana would be fun too. I played GT4 for a LONG time, and heading with a drift-ready, fully-tuned Sprinter Trueno to the Gykmhana course to do some damage was awesome.

And last but not least, as already mentioned, the world wants the Moon over the 🤬 Castle! Not some My Chemical Romance music mixup.

Drag racing doesn't really interest me much in GT. If they were to add it though I hope they would do it right and not like what Forza threw in with their game. NFS Prostreet had a somewhat decent drag mode with burnouts a tree and the possibly of false starting but very arcady.

Could care less what theme song they use.

Need leader boards, more premium cars, some of the missing tracks from GT4 and some new real world tracks as well as some older versions of real world tracks. Would also like to see the return of the Nitrous upgrades and a more enhanced track editor.

I would also like to see a better tire wear engine than what was on GT5, soft and hard tires sport and race tires seemed to wear at about the same rate where on GT4 there was a major difference in the life of these tires forcing the driver to choose wisely for the race in terms of speed and pit stops.

I would also love to see the return of A-Spec points, I spent many hours trying to get that 200 points on the many different races, that got me to try cars and builds that I would have never used otherwise, had a lot of fun, a lot of aggravation and learned to be a better driver all at the same time.

What were they used for anyway?

Basically they gave you a challenge, in most cases anyway. When you entered a race you would be offered an A-Spec score based of the car you choose vs the cars the opponent used. This would vary from 0-200 for example if you were running against tuner cars with a FGT you would get 0 where if you were running against FGTs with a GT car or with a few of the Ctype race cars, stock with reduced down force or inferior tires you could have a chance at 200. It made for some very challenging races.

Each race had an A-Spec score, most could be up to 200 but there were a few where there was no car that could give you 200 mostly the spec races where everyone was in the same car. These were a one time thing so once you had a score on a track you could only get the difference between what you had already and the possible 200 by driving a more inferior car than before. once you had 200 then no more were possible on that race. The game also kept track of your total A-Spec score. The goal was to get the highest total possible and it was a neat concept.

My friend an I played GT4 for several months trying to get the max in every race, was a lot of fun.

Another Idea:

For race cars with multiple paint jobs such as the GT500 Super GT cars & NASCARs. I think it would be nice if PD had it so you could just choose one certain race car and then pick your livery like how you would pick a color for a normal car.

Examples:
1999 Toyota Supra GT500 (JGTC); you could pick either of these: Castrom Tom's, Denso Sard, or the Cerumo One livery.

1998 Ford Escort Rally Car (WRC); the options could include either: Vavoline Ford Livery, Infrogames V-Rally livery, or the Respol livery.

1993 Nissan Skyline Race Car; Livery options: Calsonic, BP, or Winfield Racing livery.

👍 👍 👍 Yes! Perfect!

Because its not realistic and annoying to have no turbo lag on a car that has loads of it. Like for example last night when I was playing around with some older stock hyper cars like the XJ220 and F40 both cars had significant turbo lag.

Not all cars have a smaller turbo or supercharger to spool a larger one to minimize the lag, and really even with that the cars behavior is different then in GT.

Try that with an xj220 in gt (@ 50 seconds)

I pray that we'll get a proper Force Feedback settings list for GT6. The ability to change how many degree's you can turn the wheel, the amount of force required to turn it, and various other settings, are very much needed. It's a shame that the FFB in GT5 doesn't even come close to games like Race '07.

This really shouldn't be difficult to add.

No thats different, that makes more sense. The way it read didn't mention older cars or anything like that. I thought you wanted to just add turbo lag and thats why I was saying newer cars pretty much have eliminated the lag.

Yea, obviously it is a bigger issue with older cars but lets say you have the option in GT6 to choose between adding a twin turbo system which would have less lag or a large single turbo that would allow much more top end boost at the expense of greater turbo lag.

I'd like to see some more "Special Events" and a more flushed out season/story mode as well as the ability to convert cars engines and the like.

Again, just a quick list of some cars that I personally am interested in. I also am intrigued by a "celebrity car" feature that would include famous cars from film and television however this would be mostly unlikely due to licensing issues and costs. Some of this types of cars I had in mind could be:

ecto-1 (Ghostbusters)
General Lee (Dukes of Hazzard)
KITT (Knight Rider)
DeLorean (with time machine conversions)
Queen Family Wagon Truckster (Family Vacation)

I know these types of vehicles don't really fit into the GT scheme but I think this is why I'm actually interested in the idea.

Cheers all.

Welcome to GTP. Not trying to bash you at all but this thread is not about cars in general. We know these cars are not GT5 but this about other apects of the game that's needs improvements or new options in GT.

I think a lot of you are getting way too specific and are teeing yourselves up to be let down by GT6.

Upgraded spark plugs?
Auxilary fuel tanks?
Grill tape?
Windscreen washer fluid?

I mean come on, be realistic.

It reminds me of when we had this tread prior to GT5 coming out and people were genuinely convinced that you would be able to adjust tyre pressures and that they'd change depending on altitude.

In 10 years maybe. We must not have expectations higher than a statue for GT6, PD will make it better than GT5 no 🤬 but it won't have ultra realistic features either.

This may have already been said but engine swaps. These in my mind while it sounds like a great mechanism to include would become problematic. My reason for stating this is PP's still need much more fine tuning to make more cars competitive at each given popular pp interval. With this being said engine swaps would be yet another variable to include into polyphony's pp calculations and after playing all of the forza series has to offer I noticed a significant balancing problem with this. So while engine swaps would be a welcomed mechanism to the game and logical I believe they should skip engine swaps and focus on fine tuning of individual cars and the pp system. Lastly I realize they could change up the way lobby settings are done to allow for the community to decide what is fair, but at some point you need a standard and that standard(according to PD) is the PP system. So with the additional variable of engine swaps when the standard PP system is still unbalanced I feel it should not be included in GT6. I can only speak for myself and just my personal experience.
