how about a colaboration between logitech and polyphony once again to update the DFP. i want a clutch and shifter gates. even if gran turismo was the only enterprise to invest in this wheel. i think we as a comunity could supply enough demand to make an economic profit for logitech.. were is the petition sign-up? :sly: have you already voiced your opinion?

Uhm, isn't the Logitech G25 just that? It's got shifter gate and clutch pedal and it's out already.

^ Especially in Rally or Closed Road type of races, I do agree on that.

-> I'd like to see an option on swicthing my head/taillight or hazard lights on/off on street cars while racing or doing time atacks. (:

actualy, I think there is an ambulance parked somewhere in the grand canyon course, wont move but still an ambulance, but I'm not sur if its not from another game

Yes, there is one in the last section of Grand Canyon - even with moveable cones around it.

And one in Hong Kong.

there is a new thread in the main gthd forum that sparked thoughts in my head about aero parts and wings and such so here are my thoughts... since it looks like aero parts of some sort will be available in gthd we can probably expect them in gt5 whcih i think is awesome :D i do have a couple of concerns though. in gt3 there were many cars that from the factory had the ability to have some aerodynamic adjustment as those specific cars would in real life, i think this should be brought back in gt5 if only to add realism. gt4 tried to compensate for this by adding the option of buying an aftermarket wing that would let you have full adjustment of the downforce front and rear. the only problem with that is that the wings look nothing short of horrible on most cars so i usually skip them. cars like the audi tt and infiniti g35 coupe have proven that you dont need a coat hanger on the back of your car to keep it under control so i would like to see more variety in both the color and shape/size of the wings available

A friend of mine and I get together about once a week to race each other in GT4. We have a wonderful time but are always frustrated at the end of a race that you can't simply "Swap Cars"... You must exit out about three layers and start over. It's a simple thing that would make the game go much smoother. Thanks.

The other thing that bothers me is not being able to race another person on all of the tracks in the Arcade mode and not being able to race a car that I have in my garage. It's MY car, I bought it... and I should be able to race it if I want to.

So, race them in GT mode, you can spot race on all the tracks.

Really Really wished that racing in the Family Cups was more worth it / enjoyable. In family cup you can only race 2 laps. If they would of simply let you change the number of laps it would of made this mode much much better. In fact so much better that it would be where I would spend most of my time. With just 2 laps it is rather boring heading out to the family cups. I gather that is what you meant by spot race.

Pitstops where you can adjust car settings, mainly suspension and downforce but tire pressure would also be great. I also want more choices in the sector timing, I want to know how the current lap compares with my best lap.

Well changing downforce, tyre pressure and minor suspension settings like adjustable dampeners is realistic.

I would like to see realistic damage models, and being able to DYNO your car in a garage or something in one of the settings menu. Also a realistic in-car camera.

Why dyno? You already get the sheet in the tuning-menu in GT4... It's just as good, without the NFS-style animation.

In some of the modern race cars this stuff can be done by the driver, in car, while driving (e.g. brake bias, anti sway settings, Driver Controlled Centre Differential, etc.). Imagine Logitech's answer to that... the DFC (Driving Force Cockpit)! :dunce:

It's not used so much in race cars, but there are civilian and military vehicles with central tyre inflating systems as well - you can alter tyre pressures on the fly, while driving. I don't know if the civilian Hummer has it, but the military HMMWV did. (Not saying that we should put hummers in the game, just that the technology exists IRL).

Hehe successor to the Logitech G25 probably.

I don't know if the civilian Hummer has it, but

Yeah, the civilian Hummer has it too.

I just thought it would be a fun thing to play with. I also was thinking that it would be cool if there were no invisible walls. Like for example, if you slid off the side of the grand canyon, you would go off the side of the grand canyon and your car would reset on the track damaged. Just ideas.
