Things you would like to see in GT5 other than cars?

I'd like to see a more well developed tuner shop. 👍
Car names change after modifications have been made... Decals for the shops you mod with and greater differentiation between the various shops.

Work that in with body mods (which I doubt will happen) and you'd have a great mod system to compete with Forza.

I agree with the tuning shop. They also need to get rid of the generic parts dealers in some of the car dealerships. I understand having things like GM Performance parts and Ford Racing, but Volkswagen doesn't have an in house performance parts shop as far as I know.

Also I want to see and hear the mods, if I put an upgraded exhaust on the car it better look and sounds different.

Well, I'm not sure about this, but the GTI, and R32 are in-house tuners.
(atleast I thought they were)

I'm saying they don't have something like GM Performance Parts, Ford Racing, MOPAR, AMG, and whatever else. I don't think I can walk into a VW dealers and order a performance exhaust where as I can pick up a catalog and order an exhaust from MOPAR.

Not quite, but them most of the mods in GT (high end at least) are race spec mods. Sure VW don't have a performance shop sowroom and a catalog, but you can order high performance parts from them. They do still manufacture and develop parts for racing programs that you can buy and so on.

I would be nice to see specialist modifications like this, while i am not aware of a Volkswagon tuning comany, if you could pop down to Volkswagon and and ask them for an upgrade it would be nice. I know this car isn't going to be sold in real life but still, GT has concept cars right? so why not concept tuner cars?

And as for the FIA GT cars in GT5, I am all for it, it is a truly great series.

Hello this is my first of many post here on this site.....

What I would like to see on GT5 is:
1)More famous tracks (Spa, Brans Hatch,Indianapolis,Daytona, Road Altanta,Long Beach)

2) FIA GT cars

3)Road haze and weather changes

4)Day/night (3&4 will most likely happen)

5)More Spectators on the 'ring (It was dead to drive on no matter how fun it was:dopey: )

6)More Tuning Companies (JUN,Top Secret,Lingenfelter,Roush)

7)Racing modifications, decals, and more tuning variety.

8)More Famous race cars and Special custom cars.

TT94, welcome! And that's a great 1st post!! I completely agree.

But why does everyone leave out Brabus, Hamann, 9ff, AC Schnitzer, Alpina & TechArt when they mention tuner cars?

I'd also like more tuner shops, but have them only be able to sell what they really make. So if you wanted to get a turbo for your car you go to the HKS shop or if you want tires then you go to a tyre shop and choose from Pirelli, Michelin etc. That way each shop/product could have slightly different specs allowing you to individualise your car more.

I would also agree with all those, however look back to point 5. Why increase the number of spectators to just the Ring. There are many more tracks which are woefully lacking in spectators and feel equally lifeless to drive, I feel its a problem that is getting worse with the GT series.

👍 Yes I agree sounds good, however that would be pretty tricky. If not almost oppionated, some might say that Pirelli is better for tractional grip, then say Bridgestone....however Brigestone has better wear endurance.
So if PD got it wrong then they could have some melodramatic fools giving them a hard to or whatever....however if PD did choose to do something liek that, then sweet!!
Theres to many complainers out there, everyone needs to become a little bit more optomisitic.👍

Well how about adding tire shops, each having it's own advantage and disadvantages.

I forgot to add these too:

1)Drag racing NEEDS to be on the next GT.

2)Drag cars, but not some of the more extreme cars like Top Fuel dragsters, and Funny cars.Somthing like the TITAN Supra, Ryan Woon Supra, HKS Skyline drag car,and some superstock, prostock and pro comp cars (maybe including pro comp dragsters)

3)More drift cars(Sam Hubinette[sp?] Viper,Ryhs Millen GTO, RSR s2000,Ken Gushi Mustang)

About the specator idea, I was using the the 'ring bescause it stands out the most to me.Your right about some tracks need more spectators.

Perhaps, in the case of Drift and Drag cars that used to be roadcars, they could just offer those as a package from the tuners? As in, you come with a Skyline R34, and get offered a Z-Tune kit from Nismo, a drag-kit from some other tuner...

Yeah liek the tubners actually only offer what they really specialize in, in real life....like Blitz deos wight reduction, HKS does fantastic flow of engines, Trial does suspension etc.
These things can really add so much realism to it. It allows you to simualte a car package that resembles that of a real car.
The Driving experience would be more.....custom.
Thats important i believe.👍

To elaborate on tuning packages, It would nice if you could buy a JGTC tuning package for your Honda NSX, that has with the specialist tuning to comply with JGTC regulations, to allow you to enter a JGTC competition, of course it would come with the bodykit as well.

Think about it you buy you an Audi TT, and you have a choice of tuning it just the way you want, or buying a DTM package which allows you to enter it into the DTM race.

It could work for the odd LM car e.g, buy the Nissan R390 road car, pay for the Le Mans upgrade and you have yourself a LM standard car. This upgrade would not be cheap though.

What do you recon?

i know but i thought it was the same chasis and wheelbase, i am probably wrong.

I just thought it would be a good idea

I would like to be able to tune my (Mission) and (License) cars so I can drive it since PD can't do a proper setup for these cars.

Hi It's me again. I just thought of something I don't know if someone else thought of it yet or not but, I thought it would be cool to pick what your charecter looks like.
Like there sex, hair color, eye color, out fits, skin color, everything.
I think that would just be plan awesome.

has anyone already said exterior modifications and custom paint/decals? didnt feel like reading all 102 pages) like if you have a team you can create your own paint scheme and/or decal for online play (or offline). also must have more wheel selection and brand specific tires. what id also like to see is be able to open doors and hoods when you preview a car in your garage or at a dealership. on top of that, when you buy a turbo charger you would see it in the engine bay (also with other engine specific upgrages), same with an exhaust system. obviously a racing exhaust or sport tuning exhaust system is going to look different than stock. I'd like to request for more trucks and the introduction to motorcycles in the gt series, and the ability to race a motorcycle against a car in offline and online play. another thing is that if it is multiplayer to be able to play it offline as well as online. last thing is i think is if they dont want to do away with licenses is to make less of them and make them easier. just like doing math homework where you have to do 90 of the same stupid problems.

I don't know if it was already suggested in this thread, but I would like to see the settings for number of laps in Arcade Mode expand to as much as 100 or maybe even 200. Also, maybe include an option where the race can be set to a number of laps and/or a set amount of time like they do in some of the endurance races like LeMans or Sebring. :)

[*]Mid-race saves

This is for me personally the thing I think is most important. I really hope PD puts this in!! I actually love the endurance races and doing them all A-spec, but for enduro's more than 4 hours long, mid-race saves would come in really handy...

Anybody know if this is confirmed or not for GT5?

Well maybe the car setup just doesn't suit your style but may suit others, I think the setups are how the car is stock anyway, maybe for the racecars you could have a mess with the suspension, and tinker with the gear ratios, but tuning your car? not a chance.

the 1993 bmw/italdesign nazca c2 concept car should be in gt5
also the bugati vyron and the 1970 dodge diamante concept

I couldn't disagree with your choice of cars, but i would advise you re-read the title of this thread carefully.

Makes sense, The driver for the Model T Ford is very different to the driver for the Formula GT, so why not pick are own driver, or better still, why not customize are own, including our helmet.

I a doubt that is really needed, I have already got my G25, i don't really want to get a new one, there is nothing wrong with the current IMO, although if this is a problem for some people why not try doing it yourself, I hear you can remover the pedals from the base completely, and position them how you want, it my be worth checking if that is true.

Well you can currently have up to 50 laps in arcade mode right, for most people that is enough however i see no harm in extending the bar to 1000 laps, it should make no odds really, won't be tasking on the console and won't take up an extra disk space, so why not have it whatever number of laps you want it, i won't need any extra laps but it couldn't hurt to include it.

As for timed races in arcade, we already have that, but it only goes up to half an hour, it should go up to 24 hours.
