I just received the Minolta Toyota, and celebrated with a 300mph attempt. Again, speed posted below.

This is with no fine-tuning; I know this can be highly improved.

In response to #6926, :)

Are you allowed to post more than one speed?
Myself
So, if you post a speed in a new car, that's in a new entry on the Leaderboard, to allow people to hold speeds and records in multiple cars.
C'mon, I said that so everybody could read it... :P

The FTO tourer has 693bhp with an oil change. MasterStorm must be a madman! It probably is the least powerful car capable of 300mph.
Right, thanks for the figure. I certainly haven't heard of anything less powerful being used, maybe if a seriously high-performance car is used with less power... Unfortanately we can't get a GT-One below that power, and I bet the Tommykaira wouldn't get the power shakes to get over 300mph with less than 700bhp. I'm not dismissing the possibility, mind.

Nice work, Ty, that's a good starting speed for that car! I'm not at home at the minute, I'll get it on the Leaderboard once I'm back with my database program 👍

Right, here we go with Ty's speed on the Leaderboard. Sorry about the delay with this one! Any improvements yet?

Hi markhudson17, as with all new members, I have to ask you to confirm that you've read all of the rules outlined in Post #1, and that your run complies with all of them?

No problem...no updates for a little while, as I'm attempting to run the 24 Hours of Nurburgring in all A-Spec (haven't used B-Spec at all in this game, so Bob would be really messed up). My guess is it'll be the beginning of next week before I get anything else up.

I congratulate you on your grit and courage ;)

Thanks. As I have school during the week, I can't do it all in one sitting, though. Maybe sometime in the summer I can try it all at once. 💡

I just hope you're using a reasonable car for it - if so, good luck! 👍

I'm using the Mercedes CLK Touring Car-seems to be holding up fairly well. Almost 7 hours in and have 2 laps on 2nd place.👍

Yeah, it's a pain in the arse, isn't it :dopey:

Make sure you get yourself in the 24-Hour A-Spec Club once you're done :)

Nice to hear a change from those who do it with a twelve-hundred-horsepower 88C-V, anyway  👍

Been looking around the site for a while and finally decided to join, so Hello all

had a few go's at this and best i have managed so far is 329.80mph but am trying to go faster 👍

Welcome to GTP Jaybo! You've come to the right place. :sly:
Make sure you've read the rules in post #1.
Yep - I need to know you've read all of the rules outlined in Post #1, and that they were all followed in your run.

Nice work, mcsqueegy, that's not at all far off Viper's record in that car - think you can improve a couple of miles per hour? ;)

Hmm... i doubt it, took me 2 weeks to get to that. Neverless, ill try:tup:
I'll send a few more soon, as soon as i finish moving house.

Dammit i got 299.77 with the Zonda 7.3 :banghead:

Also trying with the 787B but only got about 450kmph at the moment. (about 280mph)

Yep i have read all the rules on your first post :D

Just a little update also, i have managed to get a little more out of the Minolta, still room for improvement i reckon but i am finding it very hard to get it to go any faster :grumpy:

Having been fooling with the FTO LM (probably will be my next project), I'm pretty sure that the way Masterstorm got it to 300 is because of the rear downforce...glitch (I'll say) that the AWD cars love so much. I personally don't think any car with lower power is 300 MPH capable, simply because the nearest one I can think of was shafted for downforce in the transition from GT3 to GT4.

Whilst my run in the FTO SuperTourer does make use of the 4WD trick, I only know this from knowledge I have gained since. The actual setup on the car is just the basic one I use for RWD machines (geared appropriately); it's somewhat surprising that this worked for the FTO given how other 4WD cars respond, and as such I was unaware of any special trick until much later. From what I recall, I only did 2 or 3 runs in the FTO, and only then because I missed some gear changes. It was whilst trying to improve the turning circle on a 3000GT that I started to notice any strange 4WD behaviour, although I did not realise what was happening or experiment more fully until I first took the Road Car record.

I'm not sure why you cite rear downforce as the cause for general 4WD trickery, as apart from the FTO, I tend to run considerably heavier at the front end on my 4WD cars. :)

Anyway, good luck, and congratulations to all of those with new speeds recently. 👍

Toyota Supra RZ '97 - 300.30mph :)

All 4 wheels on the ground at all times, infact it has completely slammed suspension and no downforce. ;)

I hit no walls, I went the correct direction, no Gameshark/AR Max... I think I've stayed well within the rules. :D:tup:

Please use the "edit" button at the bottom right corner of your post instead of double-posting. Also, you need a picture of the session record screen (see VTiRoj's post above) for verification.

You could say that :P

Always interesting to read into the background behind speeds that have been posted in the past, even though I don't run these speed tests much it helps my limited experience understand things a bit more :dopey: :)

Hi VTiRoj, nice to see a road car used for your first speed! I'll get you on the Leaderboard as soon as, I'm on my laptop without my database at the moment, making it something of a job to do it now

Danster, as Rotary says, you'll need to prove those speeds - as outlined in the rules in Post #1, which you should've read before posting any speeds. Cheers.

It's also my first road car to 300mph. :D I spent so long with a 861bhp Supra and only got 295mph, but then I tried the exact same setup on a 904bhp Supra, and got 300! :D

I guess I can put CLUB 300 in my sig now. 💡

I got my R92CP to 510kmph (about 318mph) and my GT-One to 300.something mph. I took a photo of both but i can't find my phone so i'll place proof up later.
