The Jaguar XJ13 and the Ford Mk. IV already appeared. Everybody is waiting for the P4 to drop now, since the Group C cars didn’t trigger the trophy.

Same here, I didn’t want to spend big money at the time. Then I bought the 917k because I was at the 20M limit, thinking the car would be counting towards the trophy, but now it doesn’t seems like lol.

As long as they keep up the current rotation speed, each car will appear approximately every 2 months.

When they start adding more as DLC, that will only increase.

As I said earlier I think it's a bad translation by the same person/team who created a mission block called 'Human Comedy' rather than 'Human Drama'.

Just based on how many legendary cars there are and how often they change out. it averages out to just over one a day and there are going to be about 60 Legendary in total. So 60 days cycle, approximately.

I don't know what cars will appear other than they seem to be going on a set cycle. So once we've seen them all, they'll go back to the start.

For the "classic" GT5 repeat possibility, we've had the Ford Mark IV and Jaguar XJ13. For the "updated" GT5 repeat possibility, we've had the Sauber C9 and currently have the Jaguar XJR-9.

Because the original japanese trophy description does not mention Le Mans at all... it only mentions "24 hour race".

I know it's fun to speculate, but do you honestly believe it's any other than the Ferrari 330/XJ-13/Ford GT MkIV ...?

The language in the description is vague on purpose "three legendary race cars that were once destined to win 24 hour races". "Destined" does not mean they actually won any, they were just designed to. And bearing in mind that since GT5 these three cars have been always mentioned together, there's about a 99.9% chance that's the cars you need.

Edit: Actually it also doesn't specifically mention Le Mans. The 330 actually won the Daytona 24h, so even that would qualify for the description. The XJ-13 was designed to compete at Le Mans, but was never entered.

Where is their evidence of having the trophy? Because it's still at 1 person on PSNProfiles and whilst this person doesn't have to be registered there I highly doubt nobody else there has got that same collection of cars.

EDIT: Claims to have got the platinum on the 13th. His PSN listed on reddit is bryaneuhwee, putting that in on PSNProfiles says they've changed their ID but they don't reveal the new one. But it suggests he is still registered on PSNProfiles, yet hasn't sycned? Suspicious.

Possibly a hacker. A post on PSN Profiles forum:

I tried to find his gamertag on reddit and found it through some posts that were 2 months old.
When I tried to check / update it on PSN Profiles, it mentioned he changed his gamertag in the meantime.
And due to privacy stuff it did not tell me his new gamertag, but luckily some other website does not care about that.
The account that website shows does have the Gran Turismo 7 platinum, but the time between the first trophy and the platinum is 47 seconds.

All of his recent platinums were achieved in seconds. Surely a hacker. I don't see any other way that would happen. It's not like those games where you get them on one platform and then sync them all on another. He only plays on PS4, and only has one version listed for each game.

Now that we have had 4 #Le Mans-tagged winners in the correct year and livery, and the trophy hasn't dropped, we're down to two possibilities (thanks for suggesting the second, @Grimm6Jack)

• A virtual repeat of the GT5 trophy - 1967 Ford Mark IV Race Car, 1966 Jaguar XJ13 and 1967 Ferrari 330 P4 (yet to appear), which were supposed to meet in the 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans, but didn't because Jaguar pulled the XJ13 before it raced.
• An updated virtual repeat of that trophy - 1989 Mercedes-Benz Sauber Mercedes C9, 1988 Jaguar XJR-9 and 1988 Porsche 962C (yet to appear), which actually did meet in the 1989 24 Hours of Le Mans (the last one without the chicanes on the Mulsanne Straight).

I missed out on the cars offered so far, but I'm really hoping it's the latter because of the prices.

Well, there is a third possibility: three specific cars that are otherwise indistinguishable from cars that are not eligible for the trophy.

It could be any two of the cars we've had so far and the McLaren F1 GTR '95 - and unless @BossBattle has scored the trophy it could be that the gifted Hagerty car doesn't count for some unknown reason (it hasn't counted towards his Collector Level for starters).

I've been deliberately not buying most of the posited cars as other people have been, so that when it does ping we have a chance of finding out what the real combination is. I've only got the 787B (because of course I have) and XJR9 so far.

I’ve got them, F1 GTR, original AMG, the little Alpine race car all destined for 24 hr races I missed the Ford. Probably be the last car to drop in legendary. Anything else is a bonus at this point

Strange. All of the PSN/Trophy tracking websites show the same data which comes from PSN servers, so it's not just PSNProfiles he's somehow jiggered.

This user has inaccurate data for some of their trophies. Although this does not always indicate cheating, their trophies will not be included in any of the site statistics or leaderboards.

I don't know what a CFW PS4 is capable of but it certainly seems suss that he happened to change his PSN name around the same time he suddenly started getting impossible trophy hauls.

It's literally, not possible to only one person get the Platinum on a game with these types of achievements. It simply isn't. There are hundreds, if not thousands of people who have bought all cars since launch and don't have the trophy.

As soon as the "3rd car" (we assum it's only one left of course) makes the trophy pop up, we will see hundreds of people (just on PSNProfiles alone) get the trophy one after the other, not to mention that all you have to do after getting all other dead easy trophies is to just wait until 00:00 UTC and buy it. So it's possible you will see several dozens or even hundreds of people getting the 3 Legend Cars and Platinum trophies within the same minute.

Question, do you have to just have the three cars in your garage OR have to be in a race that has the three magical cars and you have one of them?
As to be clear, possible you need to create a custom race at LeMans and have the two other cars picked to race against the third?
The wording on the GT5 trophy mentions something of getting the three together in a race... or am I misunderstanding this?

its a possibility, but what cars other than Le Mans racers, would trigger this trophy?
I mean, the 300 SEL won its clas at Spa. Is that one of the cars? What else? Maybe something on its way as DLC.

Doubtful. I think we can save the out of the box thinking until the 330 P4 is available. If that doesn't trigger it, then we have to consider wilder ideas.
