I apologize if it's been addressed, but my wheel won't save it's rotation settings on GT6. From other sources I've seen, it's not possible. Is that correct or am I missing something?

I believe that is correct.. For me it defaults to a shorter rotation setting with the Karts though..540.
900 otherwise.. 900 is better if you race with tire wear on anyway if you can get used to it..

Kind of a bummer, but I guess I can deal with it. Thanks much!

I've always found the T300 to be somewhat counterintuitive in spin tests.... When unpowered you can spin it a reasonable distance when you flick it with one finger (as far as a G25, further than a T500) but you feel some notchiness. However when powered it seems smoother and possibly easier to spin.

I always attributed this to the brushless motor behaving differently to my older wheels. No clue if that's true or not.

ohhh well here is mine.. powered off spinning with finger. It does seem to have a good amount of resistance. Sorry the video is dark, do not have much lighting in that part of our place.

Edit - I just watched it.. it really does not sound that bad in person.. crappy cell phone mic.

It's the same, just like mine. No RMA for me then, at least not now. Thanks!

Question..... Are the pedals from a T500rs setup compatible with the T300rs right out of the box or do you need to update the drivers for them to work? I am getting my T300 today and want to use the pedals from my T500 but don't want to screw up my new wheel without setting it up correctly the first time.

I also have the same question for my Ferrari F1 wheel......update or ok to use right out of the box?

I am using only a PS3 platform.

My T500 will not bootload......I cannot wake it up and have tried all the ways I have read including spending 2 hours on hold for Thrustmaster support....so I decided to buy a T300rs.

If you are on the fence about buying one, here is a sale for today only at frys.com . You need a promo code, all you do is sign up at their web site and a code is sent to you. One last thing, FREE SHIPPING!

Edit: why is the poll only viewable after voting? The results could be important to people looking to make a purchase but they can't see them unless making a fake vote.
This is a valid point, there should be an option for open/closed result.

FYI as of now position is 50:50 with 13 voters on each side.

Yes correct. It will all be reset once the wheel do calibration.

well 🤬 I think my T300 might be having some issues, today when I plugged it in the PS3, while doing the rotation calibration I hear a weird noise (it's faint but it is there) it isn't the clicking noise though.

I played a session with GT6 without problems but I fear this is the start of something.

They wheel itself is just breaking in.. Don't worry.

If you are worried just open the wheel base and flex the belt with your hands, this is what i did. i heard a faint sandy scratchy sound while turning wheel.

Phew, thank you so much.

Quick question. I have a new T300rs (bought last week) and notice that when I look at the quick release ring, where the wheel connects to the base, the spacing between the ring and the wheelbase is not the same all around. Meaning with the wheel attached and at the center position, the space between the wheelbase and the quick release ring is larger at the left side and the top part (so 12 o'clock and 9 o'clock position), and very small at the right and bottom (3 o'clock and 6 o'clock). Is that the same as you guys? Maybe I'm just OCD but it seems as if the quick release ring and the connector is not sticking straight out, but a bit pointed to the right

There were photos of this just a few pages back in this very thread, including discussion.

I see thank you. Just looks like the person that took that picture, which looks pretty close to mine and one other person has this issue. If that's the case I'm gonna go get an exchange as I can't stop thinking and looking at it now that I notice it.

 I'd have to swap it too, I've got terrible OCD for making sure things are symmetrical. Looking at something that's off-centre would bug me too. :indiff:

Yea between wondering if that is going to get worse over time and the amount of money spent on it, it better be symmetrical!

I got that too. Dont worry about it. Some guy on the AC forum contacted TS support, and it is apparently normal. Not what i expect from a product with this pricetag, but i'll live with it:) (and with other minor issues, see a page back)

Dang that sucks. Thank you.

That aside, this is my first wheel ever of any kind. Transformed my experience with racing games. Currently playing Pcars and it's awesome being able to put in a laptime in the 38th lap that is within a tenth of the 3rd lap because my hand isn't cramping up with the pad. Also knowing I crashed on the last lap because I thought I can take that corner with the same speed as lap 3 with good tires and not because my thumb was tired.

Will work fine without update.

Ummmmm... My wheel does not work when I remove the standard pedals and plug in the t3pa-pro's from my t500rs... Could this be due to the fact that my t500 didn't update the last time I tried to update the drivers? My t500 will not boot load so I bought the t300 to replace it and want to use the pedals from the t500.

As far as I'm aware, the pedals have no memory and therefore a missing update would have no effect on them at all. The wheel base holds all the software info required.

So should I update my t300? I am really afraid of trying to update it since it is new and I was unsuccessful with updating my t500.

Would people recommend the T300RS or the Ferrari GTE wheel to buy? I'm going to buy my wheel tomorrow. The Ferrari wheel looks nice, but the buttons could become a bit of a nuisance. I also heard that it had a more plastic feel to it. For people who have a good knowledge on both of the wheels, which would be your personal preference? Thanks in advance :)

It's annoying that Thrustmaster does not sell their products (online) to smaller European countries. I want top get T300Rs but I see no use in it if i cant at least preorder the pro pedal set. Sometimes I feel like my money are useless just because I live in a small country.

If anyone's interested I sent my wheel off today to France to get repaired/replaced, just have to see how long I have to wait.
At least they paid the delivery charges through parcel force, in the meantime I am using my t80 which is absolutely brilliant.

So would like to know the following...? Can u use the paddle shifters on wheel together with the clutch on T3pa pedal set with Pcars or do u have to use the Th8a shifter?

I can only speak from experience on PC using the TH8A as separate USB device. In that case the paddle shifters and TH8A in 7-speed H-box mode have different mapping buttons, so you always have both the paddles and the H-box available.

pCARS actually forces you to use the appropriate shifting device in this case. E.g. the Ginetta juniors have paddles but need clutch for upshifts, so you are indeed running with clutch (off the line, all upshifts) and paddles. The GT3 cars and most race cars only use the clutch off the line and don't need clutch to change gear while moving. Road cars and vintage race cars which have H-box obviously require clutch use for up- and downshifts.

So yes, pCARS is awesome about having paddles and clutch and H-box all available.

I've never tried without the H-box present, but I assume pCARS will force you to use the clutch appropriately, and just handle all shifting with the paddles.
