I dont know whats "normal" ... The package was also little bit damaged and didnt look new. So i guess it was already a retoure product.

I can drive. yeah.. only the odd sound i guess

The funny thing: i contacted thrustmaster and from the 28th of June until the 12th of July they are on holiday in germany..
In EU your guarantee is from the shop where you purchased the wheel for 2 years, though, isn't it?
Did you purchase direct from the Thrustmaster webshop or from a local shop in DE?

I'll cross my fingers to you, hope this time the wheel will be and stay OK for a good time.

There's some way to know when the wheel was made? Since a saw on youtube that the wheels made after may/june 2015 has the durability improved, bu i don't know if it's true.

Hey. Ive got this Problem

Refund?

I have that problem too. Mine makes that creaking sound when I turn it from the center to the right. Crap I hope it's nothing big because I'm out of my warranty

Did the Wheel operates like it should, i mean, is just this odd sound?

I have the same problem and the wheel still works fine but the noise is worrying. I don't know how he could've got that on a brand new wheel though. I've had mine for over a year and it only started doing it recently.

Time to buy a new wheel for my PS4 and can not decide between the G29 or T300 just because of the pedal set.

Can anyone post the measurements (US) for the distance between the gas and brake on the T300? I use the Driving Force GT now. I left foot brake and wondering if the gas a break on the G29 are closer together and if the clutch pedal is going to be in the way.

Wondering if the T300 2 pedal set might be a better option for me.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to measure and reply.

I have a G27 (same pedal spacing as the G29) and I regularly left foot brake. The pedal faces on the G27 also have a small amount of adjustment too (I guess that the G29 is the same?), so you could move them a little to make them more comfortable. My pedals are still in the standard location. 👍

From memory comparing my DFGT, G25 and T300 stock pedals:

The pedal separation is reasonably close on all sets, although both the T300 and G29 allow you to adjust pedal faces and increase separation by a few cm.

The pedal quality is another issue... T300 stock pedals are a bit better than DFGT (for instance you can rest your foot on the brake without it immediately showing 5%, pedal throw is longer and the brake has more resistance) but they are definitely not in the same league as G29 pedals (or the T3PA).

If you are running a wheelstand and or rig with a central post near your feet then a pedal set with a clutch is a total pain, but if you have them placed so that you can freely move your legs then the quality of the brake pedal and the stability of the set is way more important than getting rid of a clutch you don't intend to use.

As always, this is the point where I vote for T300 with eventual upgrade to T3PA pedals, just because the FFB on the T300 is significantly better than the Logitech options. But if that is more than you want to pay then the choice is tricky. I tried to live with the T300 stock pedals (unmodded) for a few months on one rig, just to see if I could, but I soon gave up and put some T3PA pedals in.

Hmm, I've got the Wheelstand Pro V2 and it has the centre post.

While it isn't the ideal choice for a 3-pedal setup, I find it perfectly useable and I quickly adjusted to it. The only issue I find is when I have shorts on, the metal post is cold and I rub my leg on the clamp that adjusts the height of the post. Otherwise I don't have any issues with it.

For what I wanted it's a tidy setup and the irritation of the centre post really is a non-issue for me.

Just for the record, I left foot brake, but also regularly use the clutch pedal..... proper manual driving FTW. :D

That's a great point and a great post. 👍

The T300 really does need the T3PA or T3PA-PRO pedals. The standard ones have been a let down. The T300 plus T3PA-PRO would give much better 'feel' than a G29 will, but it's whether or not the price is justifiable.

'Bang for buck' and potentially better reliability: G29
Superior FFB and future upgrade options: T300 + better pedals

And to clarify my post a bit...

I also have no problems with my T500 pedals on the Wheelstand pro (although I do run the brake pedal face mounted at 90 degrees because I find left foot braking way more comfortable), but if you compare that with something like the basic playseat: that is really uncomfortable to use with 3 pedals because the upright is very near your ankles, not right up between the legs. That was what I was actually referring to.

You can move the pedals on the 300. Up,down, left, right. Not a home right now. About an inch or 2 either way.
Just remove the screws.

T300rs It Is - Tough decision to make on my new wheel. Logitech G29 or Thrustmaster T300rs. I read many reviews and posted questions on gtplanet for feedback. Both had many good reviews and some bad ones. Both companies seem to have bad customer service for those with problems. Both wheels seem to have quality issues for some players. The G29 seems to have more problems than the T300rs due to the wiring harness breaking that connects the wheel to the base due to it turning and breaking the connections. Logitech replies on their own website seem to be just canned "Sorry your having problems" reponse. If I went with the G29 I would have to buy a new racing chair since the G29 pedal base will not fit my rig. Another $579 for the Gran Turismo Playseat I wanted. So I went with the Thrustmaster T300rs. The one I really wanted anyway. I like the way it looks better and it's a 2-pedal set instead of a 3 pedal set for the G29. Picked it up for $299.00 on Amazon Prime Day and it will fit the seat I have now. So it arrives today and hoping the one I get will serve me well like the Logitech Driving Force GT has over the years since the PS2 and GT4.

Update:
Had the T300rs a couple of days now. I like it. Very different from the DFGT. Wheel base is heavier. Pedal base fit perfect on the base I had. I did not do a side by side comparison but seems like the footprint front to back is a little shorter than the DFGT. Pedals are a big improvement over the DFGT. The angle of the pedals tilt forward more. They are harder to press than the DFGT so I find myself pressing the brake with the pressure I am used to only to realize that I am not applying break at all. When I do mash the brakes I am slowing down more on corner entry and not over shooting. Improvement already. Because of the force needed to depress the brake and gas, the pedal base lifts up from the bottom causing it to move. I had to use the mounting holes on the bottom to secure it to the metal plate. Works awesome now. Will take some time to get used to it. The wheel is the same diameter of the DFGT. The D-Pad is smaller and closer the the center so you have to stretch your left thumb over to reach it. Again just a matter of time to get used to it. The quality of the wheel seems good. Very solid. Nice metal rim. Paddle shifters feel solid and have a nice click to them when depressed. The force feedback is also different. Very smooth and quiet. I do not feel the lateral forces like I did in the DFGT however when I was driving my car today I noticed it felt more like a real car. Some say the force feedback is stronger than the DFGT. I don't know if it is much stronger but it feels very different. I don't run a lot of force feedback anyway due to the arthritis it my wrists and thumb joints. The USB cable is shorter than the DFGT cable so I had to move the rig closer to the TV. I have sent an e-mail to Thrustmaster to see if it will work OK with a USB extension cable. My DFGT did not like being connected to a USB extension cable and did not work correctly. Over all I think after time I will adapt to the new sensations and I feel it will make me a better driver.

Over the years I've run a DFGT, Fanatec wheel and a T500 via a 3m USB extension cable without issues. Strange that you had problems, but I've read more people with issues. It's probably a combination of the quality of the cable and the USB ports I guess...

I did send a message to Thrustmaster about the use of a USB extension cable before I tried it since I did not want to take a chance of causing damage to my new wheel.

Here is their reply:

Regarding your T300 RS.
Thank you for reaching Thrustmaster Technical Support.
You may try to use a USB extender, but it may cause some unwanted lag.
We suggest that you use a longer HDMI cable to connect the PS3 to your TV.

I am thinking of getting the Thrustmaster Ferarri F1 wheel for the F1 2016 on T300/ps4. Do the dials, buttons and switches actually work ? If so are they mappable and is this worth the £80 ?

old but still valid (?) review of the F1 wheel: http://www.virtualr.net/thrustmaster-t500-rs-ferrari-f1-rim-review

mapping of the buttons: http://ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=3&fid=15&pid=326&cid=9

and finally: (read also comments)

Where to get it for just 80 UK Pounds? Because of pound/euro conversion this might be the cheapest for now. In Holland around €115-125.

HI, i read that last week but thanks anyway. i meant, can i program the buttons and switches so they work in the f1 game ?ie; The p button will pit me, i know that i can do it on pc but on ps4 ?.. I know the dials are just for show. Sorry its £87 here http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/thru...wgGcMYB6G5qAdYd2v5I6xvtb1ynWSM0HffBoCatDw_wcB

Just bought a T300 and Wheel Stand Pro. Really excited to get back into gaming!

Haha I remember when I was getting back into gaming, looking around where things were at was very exciting and enjoyable part of the experience. Maybe just as much if not more than that feeling of being child like again being at Toys 'R Us for the very first time.

Sounds very familiar :) My wife declares me for 'crazy' and I am damn proud of it.
A couple of months ago my 15 yr old/young son convinced me to drive with a T150 wheel in his basic desk chair some laps in I think it was Driveclub? So it is his fault daddy is now addicted to PCars and is eagerly waiting for Assetto and GTS both on PS4. And obvisously F1 2016.

Because our oldest daughter left the elderly house we could change her sleeping room to our OUR own racing room. Playseat, TS300 GTE wheel, shifter, other pedals, beamer and THX surround sound but most of the times we use a DTS headset. And because Max Verstappen is doing so well in F1, podium again in Hungary this weekend!, and it is almost my birthday we need the F1 wheel add on ;)

Yes the child is back in me again, or may be he never disappeared.

Happy racing!

Is your son jealous of your T300 setup? And who is faster? haha.
