Simple calculation was simple. GrumpE kind of gave me something to start with: he said that most of the track was done between 300-500 mph. I just split the difference:
400
Then, I remembered that the track was at or around 1.5 miles:
(1.5 / 400)
Of course, the measurement is miles per HOUR but we're hunting SECONDS, so I remembered that there are 3,600 in an hour:
(1.5 / 400) x 3600 = 13.750~ish
I cheated. LOL!!
Gonna go with one that's a bit more simple, and a WHOLE lot harder to calculate. Most of you that know me know that prototypes are my favorite class, and that Sarthe 1/2 are my favorite courses. That said, give it your best shot:
