Time Trial #57 ...and now for something different

Just golded the Kart Space one - man that one is annoying - the penalty thing is so sensitive when going over the rumbles - I'm sure I had two tires on the tarmac many times but it red lapped me.

Not to mention it's a technical track that I've never driven on before it took me a while to get a gold time. But I won't be doing it again - I'm happy with the 45.6xx that I ended up with.

You're a more patient man than I.
I did one lap at 49 seconds before deciding that I couldn't be bothered.

Yeah I could have shaved the time off if I put the effort in, but I frankly wasn't interested and wasn't enjoying myself. Thus it wasn't worth my time

I should change my name to, ItsAllAboutTunes. I will give this a try tonight if I can get home at a decent hour. Probably take me a hour to learn the brake zones, handling characteristics and the layout of the track. I don't think I've ever raced this in reverse.

I'm just loving the Kart Space TT. Down to a 43.451 in 14th place using my wheel. I can see a 43.2 but I will need more time. Big thumbs up for my teammate Amo for getting that whopping 42.8

I'm liking it too, patience and finesse in a car with no power, it's kind of funny really. Stick with the wheel and take it to the top.👍

Into 6th on GVS-R would have been up to 4th but I missed the shift from 3rd to 4th on the final straigh  :dunce:

EDIT: Now up to 4th on a 2'00.578 :) Still got more time to find as my lap was a bit scruffy :)

Wait... you got a wheel? I think we should all give up now.

Yes, it's a G27 and I've had it for close to a year now. I just don't use it often :P Oh, and I'm using the H-shifter and clutch ;)

Wish I had a G27. I rock the DFGT, but only had it for like two months now. Wish I could also do this TT before it's over. :/

You mean to say you used the clutch and shifter in the TT on your fastest lap :scared: How fast will you go using the wheel mounted paddles? 👍

I don't know. Maybe a little faster because you only change gears twice.

Tried the paddle shifters and my shift times were slower. So I went right back to using my clutch pedal and got a 43.222 for P5! :D

What i'd like to see in future TTs are events like these, but the two cars have similar performance. I'd love to see an Evo X vs STI TT and similar events if they both get the same track.

Dang, I had three runs and got it down to a 2:04.3xx a ways to go. This should be a fun event and it handles pretty good stock.

I guess we owe an apology to lance then.
he still was a human on a bicycle after all.

And if they had regulated his every breathe, blood pressure, ect, we might have a slither of a proper comparison, as it stands we don't have one, because their rules were 'no drugs' to which he cheated. It'd be more like me altering the PP calcs, which I'm not proposing doing, I'm saying that within the games standard pp calcs, if my car comes under or up to 750pp - I am not doing anything wrong, in my opinion.

I started to put some more laps into Grand Valley and ended up with a 2:01.585. Gonna go for the 2:00 range tomorrow.

Nice!! Got any advice 👍

Probably the most basic advice I can figure out is to NEVER use 1st gear. The powerband in this car drops dramatically once you approach the redline.

I set a 2:07 after 3 laps, but I had TC = 1, I didn't get any understeer some have mentioned, but had some very fun controllable oversteer, would you reccomend turning it on or off? What about the other settings? For people with wheels we can change Front and Rear brakes a well, what would you recommend across the board?

People with controllers can change the brakes as well - it is not just on wheels, this has already been mentioned previously in this thread, anyway.

As for TC - turn it off, you don't need it, this car needs you to practice your throttle control, you won't learn anything about that with TC on 1. You get understeer when you push going round some corners. Then oversteer on exit if you push too hard on the throttle. So basically smooth driving is most rewarded with this car. Push as hard as you like in the Cappuccino, but not in the Viper.

Yes smoothness seemed to be the way, I did use 1st gear though, probably on 3 or 4 of the corners, but I was just messing around, with TC=0 you have to really concentrate, especially on sports hard, feels like its nearly an ice track at times.

I had a 46.072. .172 seconds slower then you.it was a fun challenge.i could've gotten down to the 45 easily but this is the best I could do.
