That turn in the tunnel on the Tokyo expressway keeps getting me. I feel like I lift throttle at the right time, but I cant get back on the throttle like the leaders without hitting the wall on the right.

Also, why would they allow you to make the car heavier on the Ford GT but not let you adjust anything else?

The penalty system is a bit upsetting. If I strike into the wall or barrier on lap 1, I understandably get a 5-second penalty but I'll be automatically forced to reduce speed on lap 2. This means the timing of lap 1 is anyway nullified but because of the forced 5-second penalty on lap 2, that lap becomes worthless. The penalty should be enforced on that lap itself instead of ruining 2 laps.

In such a scenario, restarting the run is time-saving & less frustrating!

This bothers me a lot as well. When I get to thinking I can see only one reason for this - to prevent abuse of cutting the last corner and gaining higher speed to enter a new lap. But this could definitely be implemented differently.

However I rarely restart because I prefer to keep the flow.

:D

That's still a good pace.try buying another ford GT that's what I did after 400 miles:tup:

Sorry if it is a stupid question, but does car's mileage affect its performance? Or is it just a joke I didn't get? :)

Basically, the more the car is driven, the more the engine oil gets dirty so as to speak. In older GT versions, an oil change or restoring body rigidity made a difference.

This effect is not in GT Sport.

Yeah which is why the advice was given to buy a new car. I also miss vehicle upgrades like exhaust. Loved when any car could be added with an exhaust to add power & a sporty sound.

The driving effect seems different after a lot of miles that's why I said trying another ford GT.

This is more than likely related to another issue I commented on, which is the automatic and continous pedal calibration. Not sure if it effects pad players, but the continous calibration seems to change the brake pressure points ever so slightly which can throw people off. Some reset the game to reset the calibration.

I just noticed when when changing direction at the tunnel i couldn't apply the throttle when I needed to keep pace with my ghost'when I tried another GT I reduced my lap another few hundreds am new to all this so I could of just got lucky?

You're a smart cookie lol ;)

Seeing the new leader in Laguna Seca has a very short change ratio .... What will be the magic number in its final speed .....

I'm really surprised PD haven't used or started with the Subaru Time Attack car. Would make sense to use that car around Nurburgring or St. Croix or Alsace.

Soooooo, got a bit held up, but have now started running through the GR4 cars on Laguna Seca.

As we have 4 GR4 cars available on Autopolis in the Daily Races this week, I thought I'd start with those...

Audi TT Cup 2016 - 1m31.870
Renault Megane GR4 - 1m31.494
Peugeot RCZ GR4 - 1m31.702
VW Scirocco GR4 - 1m31.004

(Will update with further cars as I work through them).

Replays will be shared using tag cutback73 for others to view if anyone needs a laugh...!

Also, I'm not fast(!) but if anyone of average ability wants to compare times, send me a FR under that PS4 username, but please refer to the Time Trial in any request

EDIT - Scirocco time added, RCZ added and Megane GR4 added

I'm boggled by the fast chicane as well. I can't even go through there with just a lift, I need to brush the brakes a little bit as well. It's as if the top guys have extra front downforce on their cars :boggled:

Praiano's tune for the Megane worked a treat though. It looks like the suspension values are all over the place but man it drives like a laser guided missile. Took a whole 2 seconds off my initial time with the default tune :D

sooo 1000 tries later

Every corner is freaking nightmare :nervous:

Quick question, is there a way to know how many people have entered a time trial? Would like to know if I'm 9000th out of 50000, which is ok, or 9000th of 9200 which is quite rubbish....
