Praiano's tune for the Megane worked a treat though. It looks like the suspension values are all over the place but man it drives like a laser guided missile
I really don't know how PD set the parameters of his stock settings for each car , but it's easy to check and feel that the settings window amplitude for a spring , damper or ARB... Is too narrow and don't allow to change drastically the behaviors of a car.
That's is why i often reach the limits of the settings bars on my cars ;).
If PD want to send me a PS5 x GT7 x VR , i promess i will do the job for free and keep it secret .

I'm boggled by the fast chicane as well. I can't even go through there with just a lift, I need to brush the brakes a little bit as well. It's as if the top guys have extra front downforce on their cars :boggled:

You could try leveling up your power and weight' 3 I have min at for the GT

Soooooo, got a bit held up, but have now started running through the GR4 cars on Laguna Seca.

As we have 4 GR4 cars available on Autopolis in the Daily Races this week, I thought I'd start with those...

Audi TT Cup 2016 - 1m31.870
Peugeot RCZ GR4 - 1m31.702
VW Scirocco GR4 - 1m31.004

(Will update with further cars as I work through them).

Replays will be shared using tag cutback73 for others to view if anyone needs a laugh...!

Also, I'm not fast(!) but if anyone of average ability wants to compare times, send me a FR under that PS4 username, but please refer to the Time Trial in any request

EDIT - Scirocco time added and RCZ added

I'm not the best/most consistent driver in the world, however the extra weight appears to really hamper the TT Cup and RCZ at Laguna Seca, and favour the lower powered but more nimble VW Scirocco, which I guess is not surprising since it's a relatively short(ish) technical track.

I could only manage a 1m31.702 in the RCZ and struggled for that.

Only the Megane GR4 left to try out of the 4 Daily Race cars.

EDIT 1m31.494 for the Megane, nimble but lacks acceleration out of corners.

I will run the Megane Trophy 11 "cheat car" last, before Tuesday, but will try to fit in some others before then.

@fordlaser You're current fastest time looks good, I'll be interested to see whether I can get close to it 👍

I drive this track for the first time, all AIDS and ABS off.
I will try tomorrow to get under 1:36

Changed a couple of bits and bobs and went below 1:31 in Laguna Seca quite quickly. That's a second faster than my previous attempts. Lots of room for improvement also but not a lot of time to play anyway... And playing with controller also....

I don't think the low 1:28s is fast time with the Megane Trophy '11, but I am starting to be a captain slow for some reason and I should have a faster than that time I got.

Am the same with The Megane trophy '11 I did only a few laps got 1:28 for me use of the controller is very limited compered to the wheel.

You should buy a wheel one day my friend :).
I might buy the g29 but seen a lot of posts saying the FFB is different from the other sims because Logitech didn't support gt sport something along them lines for me it's the cheapest option I should in the next few weeks:cheers:

The G29 is not to bad even though the FFB is weak for GTS, but I would like to buy a better wheel one day.

EDIT - Scirocco time added, RCZ added and Megane GR4 added

So, what could be more iconic than the Dodge Viper at Laguna Seca...?

Well, the BOP does it no favours, adding more weight than those turkey dinners from Christmas/Thanksgiving and muting the power.

Just not enough power to get this out of the blocks on the straights, meaning a disappointing 1m32.361, slower than all 4 FF cars from last week... :(

EDIT - Finally had a go with the Megane Trophy 2011 on stock settings but couldn't break that 1m31 barrier (1m31.041 was my best lap). The BOP just takes all the power out of it :banghead:

I suppose it makes sense that the laptimes shouldn't be that far different if the BOP is anywhere near effective. But I was hoping that my inability to break 1m31 was down to the cars that were being driven, not down to the useless driver :guilty:. I'm obviously unable to get the best out of the Megane, since it's the car used in all the top times.

Final EDIT - sliced another second off using the great tune of @praiano63 , closing time for me will be 1m30.146 which puts me in 4527th currently...

On to the next one...

GR1 at Autopolis? Challenge accepted :D (who am I kidding, I'm stuck at snail pace ).

It's nice to run around a track that's new to the series, plus I can split my time with the GR1 races in GT League which will bump up my credits towards the next Unicorn purchase

As for the Porsche, I'll wait for @praiano63 tune  as I can never keep these Porsches in a straight line... :embarrassed:

I'll be using Group C cars for this one. Watch from 35:11 :) It's a classic track for these cars
