Can you please explain gearbox set up again please friend
I had abandoned the Golf GTI time trial after my only day, citing disagreements with the choice of tires. I even sold my Golf GTI to make sure I vow never to return.
Colombia once again your tune is amazing. Took off 1 second off my own botch job tune. Car still needs the braking distance of Titanic but now the front end doesn't wash out as much under power so you can really mash the gas out of the chicanes 👍 I still need to work out how to take Curva Grande flat out like the top guys though. Tried that once and...let's just say it didn't end well
Actually this car probably runs the equivalent of Comfort Hards in real life as stock. If you look at mid corner speeds even on CM it's still too fast (remember this is basically a spruced up econobox from the 70s). The problem with GT is the FFB does a poor job of communicating the level of grip (and even worse if you're just on a pad I imagine). So it feels like you always need grippier tyres, but if you look at objective measures (mid corner speed, laptime, side g-force which sadly is removed from the HUD in GTS) most of the cars' default tyres are one step too grippy. The relative lack of longitudinal grip compared to lateral grip further exacerbates this impression with the higher powered cars.
I used to be bad at driving low grip cars, so I devised a simple training regime. Back in GT5/6, each day I always run one lap of the Nordschleife at 100% wet conditions with the Trueno on Comfort Hards. After years of doing that now low grip conditions are my forteSadly can't do it on GTS anymore because no rain on Nords

Thank you for your comment .. Regarding the last Curve, brake and let the car roll in 4, touch the brake and immediately enter the curve, hook the 3 with a half-throttle when you get out, push the throttle, pressing all 3 ...
The last corner is Parabolica. The one I'm having trouble with is the second loooong right hander after the first chicane (Curva Grande). I see the top guys flat out through there but I have to do a little lift of the throttle otherwise I run wide.

i use ds4. Not sure if that helps. I’m in the 1:48 somewhere. Currently 115th.
On that curve, you’re coming in 5th gear. If you follow the right hand of the curve, you’ll see the ripple strip start. Then a bit further in, there is a definite, easy to spot dirt/sand line just past it. I lift the throttle at that exact point, to about 50%. You’ll learn where you can stomp the accelerator again. It’ll shoot you out to the witches hat marker and you should hit 6 easily before the breaking point for the next corner.
just be aware. You’ll have more speed coming into the chicane. So you’ll have to break earlier. I usually aim for the round tree shadow right before the tyre marks in the middle of the road.
Ok I understand I give you a Council Use the Forcefeedback of your Wheel if you use it Increase it to Strong With this Car this will make it a little better for you to open and close the Curves with this Configuration

I'm using FFB strength 2 with T-GT. Normally I don't like strong forces but I might give this a try. It does help with high speed accuracy but then the chicanes are going to be a workout
Thanks for the help, but the problem is I want to go through there flatout like the top guy. I already know how to go through by lifting off the throttle. Currently I'm 1.47s somewhere in top 50s (if it hadn't dropped since last night).
oh man I’m sorry I wasn’t meaning to be rude or anything. I haven’t watched first place and I’ve still got a bunch to learn obviously. Plus I don’t use a wheel lol! Hope you work it out man chase that number 1!
Sneaked 3rd place in the Golf .. shame you gotta go wide after T1 to be competitiveBut I'll take it anyway
Great time BB pleasethanks
