Here are the mid-TT stats. It is not only that this TT is now the most difficult to date on every measure (well, those I choose to use anyway), but that it is so by some margin. Below the main table is the factor by which it is away from 2nd place and average to date. On average it is 1.46x more difficult that combined 2nd most difficult TT ( choosing the worst aspects of Suzuka and Road Atlanta) and 5.22x more difficult than than the average to date; an average across 13 of which 3 we collectively thought were extremely difficult (Fuji, Suzuka, Road Atlanta).

Imagine stats if car was redbull :d

@half_sourly

Interresting to see is that the last two tt was after the last patch. These spikes are massive and in my opinion not only a skillbased diffrent 🤔 also the spike between dragon trail and suzuka. So far i know was after suzuka patch 1.19-21 i dont know exactly but after these patches dualsense was fine and competitive.

If it was BoPed they wouldn’t be as bad. It’s the tuning on a 7 minute lap that’s causing the ludicrous difficulty.

Mate, we get it. You think the latest patch has hobbled PS5 controller users. I don’t buy it at all. But even if it’s true that has nothing to do with the stats we’re seeing in this TT.

Change the record would ya?

Did i rattle to havy on the cage or what?
I was only pointing out that it is interresting to see these spikes correlate to the patches. I care about it and im not doing it for myself.

I don't think it has to do anything with the patch or whatever. It's just the combo that PD put together. Atlanta was difficult because aliens drove more on the grass than on the track + not all people handle the ultra-high-downforce unrealistic cars well, Nurburgring is difficult just because it is, it's a very long track, techical, requires the most skill + the NSX is just hard to control + the tuning factor.

If the next TT combo is Sardegna C with some Gr3/Gr4, I believe we will again have an "easy" gold time.

You didn’t rattle a cage, it’s just overkill to see every single comment on here be used as an excuse to raise your particular argument.

We’ve all seen your opinion. We all get it. You don’t need to keep going on about it. No one here can do anything about it even if it is a problem.

Maybe it’s just me, and if so apologies to everyone else, but I’m finding it extremely tedious.

Pretty sure the ~10% capable of gold on other time trials know enough to copy a tune proven to be capable of a 6.45-55 lap. And there was even a guy in this thread that proved you could make gold without tuning (just maxed pier/weight). The tuning isn't what's stopping people. It's just a long difficult track and car to drive at the limit. Doubt percentages would be too much different without tuning. Might even be worse

I think so too.
I've golded every TT except the Atlanta one (I don't understand the redbull, while I had a lot of fun with the Mclaren F1).
I'd love PD to propose in another TT the same Nurb with stock Gr4 cars, and see the difference between the aliens and gold drivers like me.

With 76% of drivers not getting within 10% of the target time, I think that part of the reason is that the stock (rental) car can't compete. You have to own the car and do at least a power upgrade and that takes credits. Normally the BoP rental cars require no credits to compete, so some drivers will try this TT only once with the rental and not bother to buy a car and upgrade it.

I was 0.004s from silver after about an hour of trying with one of the posted tunes. Now that the goalposts have moved, I don't think I'll try any more.

MMX
Would be interested in seeing somebody else that has the ability to run this TT on both consoles, and hear their take on it.
Right, so I tested it now.

As far as I can tell, there's no difference between PS4 and PS5 version. Only the controller might feel slightly better on PS4(?) but that's a personal preference since I've used the DualShock for longer than I have the DualSense.
:boggled:

And buying the car is 500,000 cr. alone, before buying all the upgrades, so you'd need at least Silver to even make the purchase of the car worthwhile. If you don't think you can achieve at least silver, it's not worth buying the car if you're only buying it for that reason. Fortunately I already won it from somewhere else (I can't remember if it was just luck with the Wheel of Disappointment, or from something else).

Bought the car and the parts, got silver and maybe I'll gold it. Maybe not. But I'm just not goal oriented enough, at least in a video game, to have anything but fun in trying. For me it's a 90 minute daily pastime to break up the day. Any more than 90 minutes and it hurts too much. My kids laugh at me because I'm getting to old to play games. The next time I grind for credits will be the first time.

With more changes on my Honda NSX Type R '02 , (but which correspond to my driving style) I was able to lower my time by 6s!!!!. I could not reach the gold medal yet, but that does not bother me because with my car I have enjoyed myself. But I would need a lot more practice on this circuit to be able to hope for the gold medal.

If you try it, I hope that for you too it will improve your time.

Good drive and enjoy

Hello and seasons greeting to all here. Happy and peaceful new year to you all!

@jontikis.....

I once heard someone say that there are just two things you cannot get into a simulator. One is G force and the other is fear.

That person was wrong! I think you managed fear with that video and I remain unconvinced about G force... I think I may have been moving about in my chair here!!!!

Best regards to all here.

Ian.

There you go!

Wow, your driving style is a lot similar to mine in terms of wrestling the car to the limit of the corners, the big difference I see here is how your gearing is set up. You use 2nd gear a lot of the time while I never use mine at all other than in the carrosell and another slow corner in the 5th sector (U turn which I can't remember the name), probably due to the gear ratios.

I'll try the tune you used here and in the weekend give my hardest to get that gold and a very good time on top of that. I was on a few gold or near gold runs already but I always ended up screwing my lap towards the later half... Hesitation starts to get the best of me on the later part of the lap and end up doing mistakes.
No way I can beat your 6:50 time, but given you used a DualSense, you gave me hope for at least a 6:53 to be achievable.

it's not worth buying the car if you're only buying it for that reason

Nah, giving 500k for a 2002 NSX Type R? It's worth it just as a collectible, let alone for driving it :) Car is a JDM icon and just overall amazing.

Appreciate you checking it out.

I tried the Road Atlanta circuit experience on ps4, and was running the same times there, that I ran on ps5, so no difference. I feel like the TT is slightly different though, I don't know.

When I switched from playing GT7 on ps4 to playing on ps5, I felt then it was slightly more sensitive with the steering inputs. I was running LeMans 30 minute everyday, with a handful of the same cars, but using the same cars on ps5, namely the GT500 engine swap Toyota Crown, it had a high speed loose condition, that it didn't have on ps4. And after update 1.25, when PD changed something in the controller, noted in the patch notes, it amplified that issue for me. Some of the cars that I enjoyed driving hard on ps4, are hard to drive on ps5. That's with controller sensitivity turned down to the lowest setting, which still isn't enough, for me anyway.

Like someone else said, it is what it is, and there's nothing I or anybody can do about it.
