This is going to be a fun one. I did just one test lap this morning, when the TT was activated, I think 2:15.5, 8th in the world haha :D But now I see it is down to 2:11s

I like the track but I'm not so sure about the Cayman, especially on SH tires. Oh well... I must get gold either way :nervous:

PD should really come up with better time trials.

At first, we had Escudo at Alsace. That, was unique.

It wouldn't surprise me if the next TT was like Gr.3 Ferrari at Monza...

Statistics from TT 15, the easiest one so far by a mile.
  • The amount of drivers getting silver or gold (87,764) outnumbers the total participants in TT 14 (Nordschleife in the NSX).
  • It was however really difficult to get bronze (2nd most difficult so far), but only because if you weren't careful, you'd accidentally get a silver or gold.
On a personal front, I didn't manage to go under 56, but 56.058 was good enough for #807 and this TT was the smallest percentage gap I've had to #1 (0.85%) and the smallest percentage gap to #100 (0.36%).

These statistics are so well done, really gives an idea of how you're doing. Thanks again, @half_sourly it's appreciated!

Generally how many people put in a time at each of these things? Anybody have an informed estimate?
Check Half_Sourlys post I've quoted below. But the average participation is just over 100,000

I've not been able to race for a few days, but glad to see that silver still intact.
Chances of getting my first gold have pretty much gone.... slipped from 3.2X % to 3.5X % and need to find just over quarter of a second.
Tried some laps at lunchtime and just can't do it..... oh well, happy with my first silver!
Get in, not been on for a few weeks myself, seen there's a new TT out today so may have a go.

I guess this will be enough, but still, I know it can be better, couple of corners I can do much better, probably on a crazy perfect lap even hit the 2:12s, I just don't like stock road cars on SHs, it annoys me so much how slow and unstable they are, especially when you come from Gr4/Gr3 that you drove for the past 5 days, it feels like rainy slow motion

2:14:5 in my first session, 2.8%. This will not hold up, so at least one more session to be done this weekend. Or next one. Nurb GP has never been my best friend, I've thrown away many decent laps in the right hander onto the downhill back straight. Not even to mention the chicane.😬

Maybe I shouldn't listen to the voice in my head that is telling me to figure it out on my own, and instead watch some lap guide videos to see what I'm doing wrong...😆

What I don't understand is how more people got gold than silver.

It's a percentage based ranking from the best time. Naturally, the people going into sport mode at all are skewing the average skill level way above your actual playerbase. Finally, racing games are one of the few ones where you can give concrete advice that immediately improve results without the person necessarily having to practice or improve much. If a guide showed you a brake marker that is better or a gear change, that is a ver impactful change within a very short amount of time and with TT you get unlimited tries. Comparatively, me telling an FPS player to keep their reticle at head height for more head shots is not going to suddenly increase their headshots because they need to slowly gain experience for the right height and still rely on good muscle memory to execute it.

First session 2.14.0, good for 2.44%. not a bad start.
But man i hate that Cayman, i can not understand how some of you think it drives well :boggled:
getting decent rotation on the car is just hell
It understeers more than the Willy and when you are to soon on the throttle you feel like Keiichi in a AE86
I'm (as always) very curious what the eventual gold time is gonna be.

Apologize for the silly question....

I'd like to post here my TT in order to get advise from someone so kind to take a look at it, but don't know how to do it.
I saved my replay, hoping to see it in the PS4 archives, but I only see pictures there.

Thanks

Personally what i do is hit the share button on the DS4 after i did a good lap it saves the last 30min,
than in the PS4 gallery edit the video with sharefactory and upload to my youtube account and share here, not the best quality out of the PS4 (720) but good enough for advice etc.
The saved replay on the GT7 gallery i can't figure out myself 2.
Through the GT webside you just can't play it, it is just a JPG, think that's only i game

If you don't have a capture card and want to upload to youtube directly from your PS, you need to record the video with the Playstations video screen recording feature. This has been discussed here:
