He is unstopable, that's nuts! 🙏

I'm kind of lost at the moment wich tune and gearbox settings go well together, I have 3 GT 15's with the max number of sheets,
Maby I start fresh again, you still driving without bore up etc?
Heres my tune 2.1. I do use the SC and cooler on this one. More torque, difrent transmission and some tweaks in suspension. 😊

Place 390....but just not good enough 🤣

Hi,

I wonder if some one could point me in the right direction here? Is there a right and a wrong way to "set" the gearbox and transmission? I ask this, as I have read several different ways and I think it makes a difference - ie in which order you set parameters?

If it does make a difference, I will be hoping to improve my times as I feel my current method is not ideal!

Right, Imma try this! I hit 'the wall' last night, plenty of laps at a decent pace but I never got optimum below my PB. Time to try something new, I think I'll buy another car for this :D

Usually if the tuner is using a gearbox glitch they'll tell you. Sometimes you need to set the main speed in the main screen, then enter the settings box, then set the final drive, go back to main screen, then back to gearbox settings and do the gears. But often it's just a matter of setting the gears to the ratios and going for gold!

Giving this tune a go seeing that you barely have to scroll to see your name on the global board! Although pretty drastic changes from Priano’s tune so we’ll see 😂

Before loading up SDI’s tune, I put 90-miles in using Priano’s (used the Mista one previously) and was able to go from 1:30.135 down to 1:29.422 with optimal being 1:29.277. At first I was just going to be happy with my improvement but then I noticed I’m only 0.301 off gold and I’ve never achieved it previously.

Will update if I climb to the mountain top!

Edit: It all started out so promising! First lap I hit 1:29.477 but just couldn’t put together a complete lap. I feel like this tune is superior to Priano’s, but much much less forgiving. I prob drove another 120 miles on this tune before my daughter wanted to play the SpongeBob video game 😂.

Got my optimal down to 1:28.9xx and with the tune I would randomly hit a particular corner in such a way that I would slingshot out and gain like 0.5+ seconds only for either T6 (one before uphill to corkscrew) or the corkscrew to ruin it. If I bunged T6, I nailed corkscrew and if I nailed T6, you catch my drift. I had a rage moment about 25 laps in where I came out of the corkscrew 0.46 ahead, hit the fast left hander well and still same delta and for the one and only time today I turned early on the hard right and undercut it and got hit with 1 sec penalty - finished lap 1:28.997 obviously not counting

1:27:517 - 97th Fastest (Vule)

1:28:888 - 2912th Fastest (Me!!!)

This has inspired me to try even harder now as the highest I have ever been in these events is around the 800th mark. Finding another second is going to be a real test.

Ok I shouldn’t have been playing this morning but to be honest it hasn’t been a good week and I needed a stress release! First try with @sdi_03’s 2.1 tune and yep with CS strong it’s fast. My laps were carnage, my steering wheel seems to have developed a fault, I am more stressed than when I started BUT I have set a new PB! Even with a few mistakes and a terrible final corner. I’m away for a few days now but somewhere near 1:27.0 is IN MY SIGHTS. Thanks again for sharing all that good tuning work, I'd imagine I'd be struggling to get gold without you guys.

Had my second go today. Still in VR :)
Used @sdi_03 v. 2.1 (thanks again for sharing!), and brought my time down to 27.3 within half an hour. The splits showed that 26's was well within reach, but two hours later I had to settle with a 1:27,2. The trick, as always, is to put the sectors together. Satisfied enough though 👍

edit: forgot to try SC.

finally was able to put in some laps on this time trial. I used, ummmm, gt racing tune. it felt pretty good so I didn't bother to change anything. still had to run with tcs1 though:guilty:. was able to get a 28.651 on a slightly sloppy lap. so I hope to improve on that if I get time to return it.

Ok, I think I'm done, since I won't be able to play for the next couple of days :) I did about 20 consecutive laps tonight and finally was able to put a decent one together, even though I've had much better first sectors before, the rest of the lap was very nice.

This TT exceeded my expectations by far, no stress, just fun driving and sliding around, and this is my best result in any TT and by some margin, I also think I improved my skills here (but that's to be confirmed in some upcoming TTs :D )

Down to 29.22 after sdi's tune, got my best time in manual, but couldn't keep up more than 2 laps, so went back to auto, it would be a shame not to get gold in this especially as i was minus 0.350 next lap from my best time before i fkd up, also i turned off CS, dont know how that matters,
any tips how to gain some while automatic ? (videos doesn't help on this one as everyone uses different gearbox tunes)

On the tune I was using in auto it worked better when I kept the revs up while braking. There was less lag and momentum loss. I am not sure how much. but am guessing I was at 10 or 15% gas pedal input through braking. Maybe more on the faster corners... Just guessing as it was a "feel" thing.
