I think there's bigger things for you to worry about if your priority for going on a holiday is superseded by the fact you cant do a Gran Turismo Time Trial, lol.
Well, I can understand how one might love to have three, four TTs at the same time when one don’t have 24 gold medals and/or have already missed some.

And for your information, I’m not cancelling my holiday because they might put too many TTs on at the same time. I might however bring a GT7 disc with me. In my opinion, several TTs at the same time like we had here with the Olympics, Giulia GTAm at Red Bull and Gr.3 at Fuji is a bad idea. If you think it’s a great idea — good for you. I simply disagree.

3 is too many concurrent. If they do 2, staggered by a week, that is perfect IMO. Plenty of time to approach both without getting stale or stuck with one you're not fancying for 2-weeks

The problem I'm seeing with TTs now is what's the point until the last day.

Yeah do some laps, set a time and then all the big boys and girls come out to play in the final day/hours.

It somewhat diminishes the experience.

If anything make it a real TT and do them daily to lower the barrier to entry. But that breaks the economy.

We are talking 1% percentile being incentivised to best each other but the rest of us struggle to keep up but that is the 99th percentile who play the game consistently for fun.

Ian Ian ian,

This helps nobody. Do not encourage these speed freak time trial experts to go faster! For godsakes man, they go to damn fast as it is!

I swear they aren't chasing the time just the amount of people they can push out of it! Edit: the Margins

🤣🤣🤣

All joking of course.
LOL.... You sound just my like my *&£$@y father! I understand you were joking. I was only trying to help other poor souls, such as my own, to gain some time and earn some credits.

Just how these folks get around these tracks 2, 3 and 4 seconds faster than "us" is bewildering to the mind and quite enchanting to observe!

Best regards to you and all here.

Ian. ( Feeling suitably reprimanded! )

I had less than 12hrs left for the Gr.3 time trial at Fuji without having made an attempt, but with the help of a rented Porsche 911 RSR without any TCS enabled, I think I’m gonna get gold for this one. I think I’m only off by 2.92%, so let’s hope it sticks.

As predicted, it was a messy final session. I ran over 20 laps with a best of 1:40.3, a good 4 tenths off my time from yesterday. It took until lap 22 before I finally broke back into the 40.1's, then a 40.099 a lap later. Okay, maybe I can break into the 39's again and possibly improve my overall best. Nope. I proceeded to pick up a penalty on 5 straight laps. Alright, I'm done.

Tried the RSR, it turns surprisingly good (not what I remember from Nurb GP), but its acceleration from corners feels numbed (I even checked if the TCS is not accidentally turned on).
Back to the drawing boards with this one i.e. Huracan and already found some speed.
Improved by over a tenth only, but at least below 41 (let's not notice that optimal is half a second quicker)

In the beginning GTSport renewed the TT,s daily.

I think tomorrow the Olympics come out and only two TT,s remain.

1 or 2 more days and Fuji could have more runners than the olympics.

Woohoo!

I totally missed the last one there and even 'though it was a tuned event (IIRC) and I avoid such things at all costs (terrible tuner), by the time it ended I really felt like I'd missed out.

Of course, I hoped there'd be a non-tuning one soon but assumed I'd have to wait a long time.

Not so, I'm stoked to say!

Surely a Nurburgring time trial will be almost impossible to gold? Staying within 3% of an alien at that length of a track is insane.

Also for casual players with work/family, just getting one clean lap will be a full session worth of gaming. Not too happy with this tbh

Edit: last time out on Nurburgring, 76% of people didn't get any prize at all, and many more didn't even attempt it as it had the lowest participation rate ever

Here are the results of TT25 in Gr.3 cars at Fuji International Speedway - Full Course.

Highlights:
  • Second highest number of participants at 159,902. This despite there being three on for most of the time.
  • Relative to the average across previous TTS, it was easy to get gold (almost double the usual proportion) and silver (easiest yet).
  • Only the Olympic TT with its 20% bronze 'hurdle' had fewer drivers with no reward.

Drivers with gold in all TTs
The number of drivers with gold in all TTs to date remained at 137. As usual I've split the graphs because the high early numbers mean the later low numbers are barely legible when all the data is on one graph.

Yep.

  • My time of 1:39.960 left me in position 779, which was in the top 0.49%.
  • Gap to first (1.33%, so the gold streak continues), gap to #100 (0.61%) and percentile were below my overall averages; always good.

I hear you, but there were particular circumstances:
  • That was in a tuned car which was very, very slippery.
  • I suspect thousands more had a go but couldn't post a time because they could not get a lap in.
  • Many casual players probably did not bother tuning the car, or realised they could, leaving them at a distinct disadvantage.
  • It was the week of Christmas, so some people may not have been around to play.
My prediction is that fewer than 76% will this time get no reward; it may even be around 50%. It will still be difficult, that is certain, but not as difficult as Kaz's Christmas gift to us all.

Quite suprising for me that turnes out Fuji was easy (statisticaly), I struggled to gold it more than avarage tt ;d

Hard disagree.

I would much rather they keep a stern challenge. If i find myself struggling to break into the gold barrier then I just put it away and settle for a lower reward.

The 'barrier to entry' as you call it, would be the bronze prize tier and I think you'll agree that's low enough. I think any easier and the only thing it would incentivise would be people walking away from the game.

With it being the Nuirburgring, couldn't resist giving it another go. Sub 8:10 would be possible for me, but realistically I'm not consistent enough to put it all together.

Doesn't seem to be invalidating lap times like normal but if you get any sort of penalty, you're going to be losing a ton of time down the main straight.

All valid.

I will say that I don't think TT is the main draw for most people to play the game.

But yes agree it needs to be difficult challenge.

I guess I finally have to learn the Ring.:)
It will be a welcomed comeback for me, and I think I'll use the BMW like the one used for the circuit experience on this track, at least it will train me a bit.

I know the track, not to the teeth but enough to know what turn is coming next, not up to the point of knowing my breaking points and so on, but enough to be able to complete laps without to much errors, if I don't try to go too fast.

I would have prefered it without the GP layout, I think the spirit is not the same in both parts.

THIS IS MY DREAM! Actually just the Nordschleife and Gr3 (I can do without the GP circuit) but I am still PUMPED! Whoop! Shame I won't have much time to do it
Ooohboy 🤣🤣

I like it to!, but it's going to be a restart shenanigan instead of short shift shenanigans 🤣🤣

And keeping up with you aliens dudes is going to be impossible!, I think I'm glad if I can gold it, that circuit experience should be peanuts compared to alien territory 🤣🤣🤣
