There is a handy site (which I heard about here) where you can see your national placing. Apparently I was 56th in the UK out of 5,022. I'm applying for Bulgarian citizenship; my time would have been national first there.
Neat site, too bad it doesn't cover the regular time trials and only top players are featured so us earthlings are not shown...

This olympic trial gives some insight into which region is strongest and has the most players more so than a tt usually does since people had to compete for spots (and it had the most participants).

For the Olympic TT. I logged in last night to confirm my time for gold had held after it ended. I looks like I got the 4 million credits, but didn't see the little pop up for the medal? Right now I have 22 gold and 1 silver. Was this not the 24th TT?

Well, settled for silver on this TT with a 16.3 (2.20% from P1 so would've been gold under normal circumstance but I am sure a lot of people could say the same). This is my second legit silver (tuner NSX at Nord was the first) so I am a little bummed but needing to find over .500" left me unmotivated with this particular combo. Admittedly, I hadn't touched it since the day it opened and kinda wish I would've went back for another go, but the end date sneaked up on me and so it is. I'll take my 2 mil and run.

Fuji and GV are still well within gold so at least I got that going for me.

Only missing the number of times of "try again" and the kilometers done on this track.

Improved time on Gran Valley to 16,459

Hi Everyone,
First post here having just bought GT7 this weekend. First time playing since GT5 around 12 years ago.
I spent about 3 hours on the Olympic Time Trial aiming for silver and finally made a 1:18.374. First sector time was 22.001, but I was loosing out on S2 and S3. Still a few things I need to familiarise myself with.
I'm using DualSense with Motion Steering, +5 break balance, +3 traction control and auto transmission. I'm aware there's time to be made with manual, but I'm still trying to get a feel for the tracks and the racing in general at the moment before I go there. Is Motion Steering the best method for fast times with DualSense, and what settings should I be looking at to get the most out of it? Appreciate any advise.
Really happy with this game so far and looking forward to receiving the 2M coins and grinding future time trials.
Welcome to GT planet. I'm steering with motion steering but I am not sure if it's best method of steering. I am pretty often beaten by people who use DS 5 or 4 and steering with analog stick. I think I only beat some of them on Kyoto TT with VW ID. R. Where i was placed 400.
If you use cockpit view and drive fast car you can see how steering gets twitchy in turns, so that's one thing that doesn't work 100% really.
Any advice I can give is to test different steering sensitivity which works nicely for you, and you might want to adjust it depending on challenge. 10 might be very sensitive for fast car, maybe 0 might be better option for those cases.

After a bunch of game restarts this morning ( i had less frozen game than yesterday btw tho )
was able to do a few laps extra with the Huracan, i was so off compared to yesterday, you know that feeling?, you have a nice opening lap, feeling like a 40.high to start with , than you cross the line in 42.......,

But after 10-ish laps i got down to 40.544, still not an ideal lap, but i'm beginning to create a little love for the track, and that's what these TT's are all about for me!
I'm not the fastest guy, i'm a descent pad crusher who is learning over and over again each TT again watching clips and getting tips.
But i'm beginning to like Fuji more that i expected!

Hey, samies!

I also enjoy the TT's mostly because it really makes you learn the tracks.
I still have terrible track knowledge cause in the past I've always enjoyed rallying more than chasing those tenths of a second on the same track.
But something clicked with GT7 of all racing games weirdly, and now I'm finding I gotta chase that goddamn dragon.

Regarding Fuji, I feel it is a track that really needs a certain kind of flow.
I can't get a "good" lap on there unless I warm up for a long time.

No kids and a flexible work arrangement. And (and I don't mean this facetiously) just good planning and staying busy for the 16 non-sleeping hours. Over the weekend I still managed to have friends around for a long lunch, spent most of Sunday gardening and wood working and got out for long walks with the wife each day.

I don't usually spend this much time on the game, but don't want to lose my gold streak so just made time. I will obviously lose the streak at some point with being away on holiday, but don't want to lose it for lack of trying. On the Red Bull ring one I only did about 150 miles; same for Fuji, although I might go back to try for a better time there.

Is there a site that lists all the TT's from the beginning? Can you confirm how many there are? I can't believe I may have missed one. But I only have 23 medals??

Lots of freezing here as well with the TT's on PS4 since the last update.

Really been way too busy to put in the time in the last weeks...was bummed to see I completely missed out on the 1st GR TT, but other than that that I really enjoyed the Olympics TT during the only half hour I made free last Saturday...in the middle of the night...to make sure I'd at least experience the TT before it was over.

Stoked to see there are a few other TT's to try, looks fun! Hope I'll be able to at least give each one of 'em a few minutes before they expire.

Keep up the great work guys!

Dope dude.

Can you show me the top Portuguese players? And how I rank among them? My nickname would be Grimm.

I'm at 925th overall.

And already much faster than me 😅welcome here.
Motion steering is when you act as if the controller was a wheel, right ? Not too tiring having your arms in the air for 3 hours ?
Cheers! That's correct. No tiring surprisingly when I think about it now, maybe I was getting too worked up to notice. I think that's what I missed most about the GT series. That feeling of hitting the silver after 3 hours of frustations and last sector heartbreaks, I don't get with other games.

Thanks for the advice. Glad to have more of opportunity to try different techniques and settings on Fuji, as I only had the 1 day on Deep Forrest.

I have this SO many times, this evening had to reboot the game 4 times in 15 minutes, at first it was only at DF, now Fuji has the same, very annoying, and most of the time it does hang on reboot to during the leading circle on PS4 ....... and indeed only the dashes flashes
it has already happened to restart but fortunately it has been rare... getting into the rooms the first time is always a comedy

I keep having to hit the start button(green flag) 2 or 3 times, is this bugged or something? It did it a lot in the Olympic TT.

Cheers! That's correct. No tiring surprisingly when I think about it now, maybe I was getting too worked up to notice.
Ever thought about having something to support the controller, mounted on an axis that rotates, to end up with some kind of wheel ?

What are you using to brake and accelerate ? I feel that if I was to use motion steering I'll hold the controller much more verticaly and would have difficulty to use L2-R2 for that.

I hate those flying things everywhere, helicopters, balloons, birds who enjoy so much racecar noise that they spend their life flying just above the track (must be some realism detail thingy Kaz loves so much) 😅
