Haven't really raced this particular Nurnburgring layout before, and never went around the course in a Gr3 car either (I usually drive around the ring in older cars), so this'll be quite a challenge for me. I tried three laps to get familiar with the track and the car and ended up at 9:16:xxx. Oooooof.

Done 2 laps, on the first one I've learnt that the GP layout was not the one I was used to, what's that shortbreak after T1 😅 ok, I'll be less surprised on the next lap.

And I've managed to hit Barry R. in the first corner after the autopilot stops... oh yes I think I've driven to much SF these days, all cars don't break as strong and I'll have to adapt !

Ouch the 1.5 penalty is harsh at the beginning of the long straight !!

9min06 on that first lap.

8min54 on the following lap, without any big mistake, close to bronze on the 2nd lap while not having driven this combo in monthes, not sure I'll be able to get silver but bronze will be easy.

With the BMW M3

it will be very very hard to get the gold and even silver medal !!!!!!🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
8'37'993 with McLaren
8'35'686 with Beetle Gr.3
8'29'959 with GT Supra with optimal time at 8'29'0xx

I'm VERY curious to see what the meta car is going to be!

Probl have to undust my RSR for this one again, altho my allready warm from Fuji Huracan should be a good option, rotates quite wel!
i'll give it a first go tomorrow i quess, don't realy have the time for very long stints cause i'm on multiple deadlines at work, but this weekend i should be able to set a few laps!

I'll definitely be using my first Gr3 love in the LM II on one of my accounts. For the try hard time, probably the Supra. I know it took a little bit of a hit in the most recent update but it was pretty good during the Manu race at the Nurb Endurance layout, especially when you consider there is no tire wear in TT.

Thanks, i must say i haven't driven the Supra yet on a TT so i'm def going to try it, The LM II woiuld not be my first pick either, but you can't tell anything about it if you haven't pushed them, so i will try..
Always thought the LMII oversteered like crazy?,

No sir, the LM II is VERY planted, and it's a rocket on the straights (just as fast as the Supra on the straights and that was pre 1.32 where the Supra took a 5hp Nerf and the GT LM didn't*). It also doesn't have the typical GT MR spinning tendencies; it drives really well and is more of a combo between the Porsche and an FR car than an MR car. The Ford does have some understeer but it's manageable.

I used Toyota and Ford as my Manus last season so I've got some time behind them at Nord. I don't recall my exact times while TTing, but I want to say my Supra time was maybe two-three seconds better than my best Ford time.

The RSR is very good for in this track again. The Super is fast but less stable than the RSR. I just do 8'28'881 with RSR with lot errors.

Yeah Nurburgring will be a lot about consistency, seeing some of the lap times posted here, you definitely also need a lot of practice until you can go anywhere near enough quick. It is a long process not needed to this extent on the "normal" 3,5-7 km tracks.

You are in a way different spot if you've played this track for thousands of kilometers and basically know every corner. This is not a track you can learn in just an hour or two, if you start from scratch. I'd suggest before trying to actually do the TT if you are new to this track, practice the circuit experience and master every sector. Only then try out the full track.

Initially you will still be way off your potential best time due to lack of consistency, despite being good in each sector separately. But over time once you know every sector by themself, at some point you will probably find the consistency to do a lap that is near your best potential.

Ugh life has been busy! Didn't get to play yesterday or this morning and I bet I dropped into silver on Fiji. I like the Nord, but I don't know it near enough to do well here - probably will be happy with Bronze (will be first bronze since following this thread) and estatic with silver - gold will be far outside my skill level. Heck, I'm just trying to get silver in GV lol

I started like I start my trials always..... Thursday after dinner, on the couch, remote play on my laptop from my PS4 Slim .....then most of the time, I'll be fairly close or into gold...... this one..... naaah not going to happen 🤣🤣, my fastest lap was like a gazillion minutes with a nice smoky 720 slide and a 1.5 second penalty,

This one needs headphones and concentration 🤣

Did a 8:29 with the RSR and on my next lap....I was a good 5 seconds ahead then my brain farted and went completely wild on the left turn after the carousel (how did I manage that?). Going to try again later.
I can see it now, finally having a PB lap and will inevitably screw up the corner before the straight and slowly watch as my delta shrinks lol

Took me a few laps but managed to start with a 8:25.537 and then a few attempts later (in otherwise my next clean lap attempt) managed a 8:20.182 - unless the gold time falls dramatically, I reckon I can obtain a gold time lap - I find I’m sometimes too timid on the latter stages in between the carousel and the long straight.

I used the Supra and it seems well balanced - I also recommend for those struggling with grip at times, TCS at 1 is useful but still need to watch out for any late wheel spin.

So I am in gold with the Ford LM II and Supra, on accounts 2 & 3 respectfully. My Supra time is a tick over two seconds quicker at 8:14.8. Assuming they hold I am just going for broke on the 1 account, probably in the Supra... just to see what kind of time I can set. Love this track.
