1'25'590 with DS4 and automatic transmission. I think that will suffice for today.

:) I don't mind for the unique names like these two; it's when it is "Senna" or such, of which there are tons, when it becomes more tricky. Still doable though as I now have all the profile names, which are unique, alongside the GT7 nicknames.
Thanks a bunch for posting this! Olympic TT aside, I don't know what's changed, but something has kicked my butt into gear lately. I was happy just to hit the top 1000 at the start of all these. Now I'm unhappy if I'm outside.

The question is why? I've been playing the game since the GT3 days and have always felt like I was a pretty quick driver. Maybe it's the competition in this thread that has driven me (no pun intended) to somehow be even faster? I think the big thing is I've learned how to drive more smoothly, especially on corner exit. Accelerating in a higher gear can significantly reduce wheelspin, so I think that's where having switched to manual has been a huge help. The 'Vette at the Glen was undriveable before I finally made that change, and it immediately resulted in my best overall finish.

Now if I only didn't have a disability which prevented me from using a wheel setup...#TEAMDS4! :D

Edit: I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the tips, advice, and videos you guys have posted here. Those can be quite the help, too!

Tube video of my current PB, hopefully I'll be back home Sunday night to try and improve. I'm still working out ideal gears for each corner and got myself a bit bogged down after Brunnchen which probably cost me 0.5 seconds alone. WE WILL KEEP WORKING!!!

Have a good weekend everybody. I just want to say fair play for anyone attempting this trial and improving their PB. The Nurburgring 24 layout is a monster and these cars are hard work around here, you need huge amounts of concentration to complete a clean lap! So whether it's a World Record time or you are just happy to get around without meeting BARRY-R cheers to everyone! A good lap is something to be proud of around here, it's not like any other track. Good luck to all! (Except anyone super quick on a DS4, I'm looking at you @Gomario JSP :odd:, A-L-I-E-N!!! EDIT oh apparently @Dolph Drago uses one too.... UNPOSSIBLE :odd::odd:)

Having to deal with consecutive corners in the Super Formula is quite difficult when you're going soo fast. Sector 3 is an absolute pain because one small error can completely stuff up your lap. Building trust with the car is part of the game so if you don't have that, you can't get the gold time. I did a 1:24.293 after spinning out several times and flying off the track.

Consistency is key. If you can manage a lap with no obvious mistakes, you'll get there.
It was without mistake  Seriously, everytime I drive at the Ring I drive very cautiously because...........it's the Ring

Also I'm rusty, in part because I started to play Grid Legend, so my driving style right now is mixed between the two games :P

Hi,
I'd like to apply to the official haters club of autopolis. Thanks.
Welcome aboard!

Here's an average gold time lap for you all to watch. It shows you how insignificant us mere mortals are compared to the aliens. I'm happy with this lap in the sense of it being in gold, and will be in gold. I cannot be arsed to grind this any longer than I have to. Don't get me wrong, I actually like Autopolis as a track. But...it clearly wasn't designed for the fastest cars on the planet.

Ring has been kind to me today, over 2 seconds improvement, putting me into top 1000 😎
It is great feeling to finally assemble a full lap where all the practice pays off.

That being said I am getting anxious everytime going through the last straight with a new PB in sight.
All the 30 seconds to overthink how to take the last couple of corners 😅

Yeah it's realy hard for me to concentrate for 8 minutes and make NO mistakes, and I'm jaleouse of you 15 and 16" guys, respect! It a hard one but I try to find some time to get more track time on the ring, but it's a busy time for me, but I want to be proud again! 🤣🤣

Great job Dan!

Kudos for going the extra mile and attack the TT in cockpitview 🔥🔥🔥

Nice lap man! Check the Kie25 drivingline for the last right hander.
You will find few tenths there if you keep it really tight to the right.
Maybe even beat my 22.8 😄😄😄👍
Cheers! I saw your new PB on the leaderboards, nice job! 👽 I always tend to take that last right hander a bit too fast and go slightly wide because of that. My optimal lap says 1:22.7xx so we will see.
