Relief, Turdpolis done for now.

Used the BRZ GT300 for the Nurburgring. 8:11.608 with loads of small mistakes across the track, outbraking... going wide, even going into the grass a couple of times at the final sections before the big straight. Optimum time of 8:08.944 ... Now putting all those 16 or so sectors together is the pain in the ass, but since this isn't any olympics and gold is more than assured, I won't bother to grind this one anymore. Autopolis will be done in a week time to see that the top 1 gold time stabilizes. That one may require some effort since the SF can be a handful and I really don't like driving fast cars on Autopolis.

This Nurburgring TT was surprisingly easy to get gold. I won't mention that out of today's 405km session I did only 4 completed laps lmao.

Thumb up for everyone fighting the green hell tt.
I set my comfortable bronze last Sunday and didn't switch on my ps4 until today.
I'm done with it, it requires too much time and I have only two hours between here and even end.
But still I set up a 20 min custom race with road car just to enjoy it a bit more. Some sort of see you soon, not a goodbye.

Away with work for a few days so was lucky enough to get a couple of hours after work this morning - tried the BRZ and the 650S. Spent 30 mins in each and managed to get within 0.5 of my best 911 time. There’s definitely potential in both, but would require more time to optimize. Went back to the 911 and ran two laps for a 1.8 improvement - now on an 8:19.4. Still need 2.5secs for gold though.. 🤦‍♂️

Edit: now down to 8:18.9

Just finished a stream where I did 24 hours of nurb in 2 hours. Game screwed me right at the end by ramping the AI up and making the track greasy... after 2 hours of lapping I felt pretty good about doing a lap

Put in a solid lap I felt and was looking forward to getting back into gold. Huh... finished some 7 seconds adrift of my 8:17.xxx ! I forgot how on it you have to be for this TT

@Dan_Tes

Still trying when I have some time, but still keep making more tiny mistakes with huge consequences like this....🤣

I'm taking a break, give my head and hart some peace 🤣🤣🤣

That’s why I ended up lapping with TC1! It might be slower but I get round where with TC0 I had a high probability of binning it driving at the limit! Whenever I make a mistake with TC1 it ruins the lap but I survive enough to continue and do some ‘data gathering’ for the rest of the lap! With TC0 if I get it slightly wrong I’m facing backwards in the barrier with at least a 3 second penalty 😑😑.
I’m home tomorrow so hopefully give it another go in the evening! Some absolutely mega times being posted, fair play! I haven’t even tried Autopolis but I reckon it’ll be quite fun but I won’t even try until NBR24 is done and dusted

After a long break from time trials, I got called back for the green hell. Far too many laps later and I'm super happy with low 8:16s in the supra!

I must have learned something on the way coz somehow I hit 633rd globally on autopolis with a 1:23.660 - white knuckle combo, this one. Tc on 1 seems to keep the blood pressure to controllable levels. 😂

From current events I'll get two bronzes.
If my G29 isn't in failure (throttle potentiometer needs to be cleaned and I'm not capable of doing it) , maybe things would be different, but with DS4 I can't better here.
Hats down to you guys who are getting insane results with gamepad.

if you want to clean your G29 it's really very simple. You can find lots of tutorials on YouTube. I had the same problem this week and bought a cleaning spray and it seems to work again. It takes 5 minutes to dismantle it.

Agreed. It's very easy. If you know how to use a screwdriver you can get to the guts of the pedals. I've done it to my G29 pedals (which is what I use) a few times. Dust/hair (especially if you have pets)/etc. get in there and can mess with the electronics. Recommend taking the housing apart and cleaning out where the pedals are with a small vacuum or something. Then, put a very small amount of conductivity spray on the guts (if you have it handy, if not probably not a big deal).

That's all it took for me.

A bit into TT Nürburgring 24h and I have to say I love it. Yes it's really long and mistakes cost a lot but I just love it. I will however need some time to see where I can improve if I want to get gold.
(I lost a week or so because of private reasons where I needed to travel abroad for a funeral so no playing during that time )

I am actually amazed at how well the BoP works for GT3s at the moment. I hadn't driven a whole lot of them lately, just the usual metas when need be. But at least on the Nordschleife, they are very different to drive but very similar in pace for the most part. I did sub 8:20 in at least the following: Porsche, Beetle, new AMG, Huracan, Supra GR, Peugeot RCZ... But my favorite ended up being Renault R.S.01 (8:15.8). That one you can really throw around without worries. So if anyone is constantly binning their laps, I'd suggest giving the Renault a go rather than going with aids. For gold you have to really push and I found it most approachable with the Renault. RCZ wasn't bad either but more tendency to go wacky on uneven braking zones.

Well, had some free time today and decided to take a crack at Autopolis. This car/track combo as expected, was a handful. This car seems even harder to drive than the SF19.
I wanted to take a crack at a sub 1:23 but I can't just seem to be consistent enough to get it. I've gotten super close but I decided to call it quits, gold should be more than secured with a time of 1:23.006 after about a 431km session.

I would say this TT is a medium-hard one to gold for most people. Requires a lot of throttle and steering control at the high speed corners and a great line to nail sector 3 which is the hardest part of this TT IMO. Very fast car at a very technical track.
