I’ve been steadily improving my N24 times every time I jump on. I can only a couple of laps each time before I loose the focus and start making mistakes. I’m down to a 15.2, but I know there is a 14.x in it. I made a little error getting onto the straight and then lost another tenth breaking traction out of tiergarten.

Managed to improve my time on the Nurburgring over the weekend, now down to an 8:12.566 using the GR Supra with an optimum of 8:11.481 which I think I could easily get as my best lap had a lot of small mistakes like taking the wrong line and braking too early in some places, however it is very difficult to string together an entire lap without mistakes and I struggle to do more than 2 laps at a time trying to drive at this intensity so I have to have breaks often which also ruins my rhythm.

At the time of posting this, I am currently ranked 574th, getting into the 8:11's would likely put me within the top 500 however I'm not sure I would be able to improve much further than that. Since there's no additional reward for improving, I will probably move on to Autopolis now.

Did 350 or so km at the ring today using my new steering wheel, and only managed 4 successful laps with best lap in the 8:26s...which is 10 seconds slower than my PB with controller. Did another 50 km at Autopolis and only managed a 1:26 flat.

The learning curve for the steering wheel is steep! I have to call it a day because I can barely feel my left leg right now....the G923's brake pedal is HARD.

Gold! That’s about as fast as I can drive, so fair play to the 3,167 people currently ahead of me. Hopefully this sticks - WR would have to drop to an 8:01.9 for me to slip back to silver - 🤞

Edit: watched the replay back, made a bit of a mess of the last right-left after the heavy braking area. Braked too soon and then turned in too early. Probably half a second right there, but frankly, I’m done 😂

I'm soccmals. I sent some of you a friend request to compare my results with yours.
I play only TT and then I would like to have a leaderboard with your names.
As you'd know, you've been in my list for a few weeks mate.

Just wanted to say well done for your TT at RBR (beat me by 0.1s), Grand Valley and the 'Ring.

I only get to drive once a week when my buddy comes over and we take it in turns (5 laps at a time on short tracks and 1 lap at a time on the 'Ring). If I were driving more I'd be at about the same pace as you in most TT's I reckon, but I still like to see someone on my friends' list beating me.

8:16.1xx in the 650s at N24. I think I've probably run about 10 completed laps. The McLaren is a dream to drive. I think I might have fallen in love with those 2nd gear exits.

What I have noticed is that because the lap is so long and there are so many ways to ruin it, I get very conservative towards the end of a good lap. If I can hook up an aggressive last half lap after a good start, I'd say an 8:12 is possible.

Every day i tried to find some time to put in a few laps, did some laps in de Formula but as that is the longest it does not tricker me that bad to put a lot of efford in cause the damn green hell is still haunting me.
My plan as mentioned was sticking with the 911 to the end, just learn to full send the german thing,
My best time with the RSR was 17.133 and there were a few laps that felt so damn good and were close to my PB but never reached it again, i just don't have the convidence in the car to realy make that difference i quess, if i split the lap in 3 equal parts then the first sectors i am quite quick with it resulting in 1:12.9 on the forlast sector to enter the hell, 4:14.1's before the first backstraight, but i loose a lot in the middel sector with the 911.

So this morning, alarmclock at 05:45 ( have to leave for work at 08:00 ) so i have a descent time for some longer stints and thought **** it, i'll grab the BRZ, i just want to gold it, i don't realy car anymore if it's a meta car or not

So the first laps were a lot slower than my RSR's but something grew with the car and my convidence began to rise on particular the mid sectors and that's were i needed it!

So in ther last minutes before a had to leave i had a fairly descent lap, BUT i did mowed some german lawn AGAIN......
but still pushed out a...

08:15.474 with my Mushy!, she was created at first to attack @Dan_Tes his croco-delicious at Catalunya but coulnd not get the right feeling of the car then....

I think i can get into the 14's if there is no more grass to mow but time is not on my side here, maby tomorrow morning another tiny session...., who knows, but i'm SOOOOOO glad i'm in again...pfffffffffff :lol:

From the high lows of my driving technique, it seems to me that the RSR has become more difficult since the last update.
Even before it required a lot of coasting and was to be driven in a very particular way, now I don't understand it anymore.
At the ring I tried it, albeit a little, and I really struggled to get it into corners.

Keep going with Mushy, it should be perfect for the German forest undergrowth

It is always a hard work to take home a good result and stay on the top places of the standing.
Glad to know I'm not just the last.

I find this new TT even harder than then the Nurburgring :grumpy: Partly because I've driven the ring hundreds of time, even they are pretty much with road car (sport hard tires). I can say I know the ring reasonably well. Also this time I'm forcing myself to use the steering wheel instead of controller.... just not getting the car turn in at the right place and power out early enough. I guess it doesn't help these formula cars are just so damn fast :scared:

Had the first "hour-stint" in the formula, on the first day it popped up i did a 24.7 and today after an hour, still that,
god i hate driving the formula's in GT, always have and always will..
I think my brain just can't handle it
T1 i have never nailed it, and the last turn i still don't understand, sometimes when i am a little off to the left it just understeers like hell and almost won't rotate even on lower speeds, weird corner

I realy doubt i will gold it

I'm sorry but all I hear is "I will crack this nut soon and set an insanely fast time on the DS4 by the end of this Time Trial, then accuse other forum members of being aliens.."

CLASSIC ALIEN BEHAVIOUR :odd:

(Also, if you aren't already; I tend to go bonnet cam for the faster cars as the higher viewpoint lessens the sensation of speed and gives my eyes a rest. Worth a try if you are only using bumper cam)

 , I think the only thing that's going to crack is my left steering stick on the DS4 during T8 :lol:
But accusing other faster players as Aliens, yeah Dan, you should feel addressed :lol::bowdown:

Did change the the cam to bonnet immidiately also otherwise i see the corners when i'm allready passed them  but thanks for the tip!, i'm very curious what time you can get on the board, i have the feeling this one suits you very well?

😂😂 well I have no tips except ‘try and drive faster’ in this case 😁

Honestly I don’t know, I generally get on with the formula cars although it’s a track I don’t know well.. As usual PD go from famine to feast and we’ve gone from having rubbish time trials/daily races to having an absolute feast and not enough time to enjoy it all! Now there’s an N24 race C I’m tempted to focus on that and then try and blag a gold at the end but we will see!

Drive faster, .... i'm going to remember that one, should do the trick  :):)
I'm sure that you will suddenly rise to the top at my leaderboard on the last day

Good luck wit race C!
