I think the difficulty-due-to-short lap thing cuts both ways. It's true that you can't make as many errors with the small time ranges, but I'd still argue it's generally easier to keep a skill level within 3% for 35 seconds than it is for 2 minutes on a normal track; it's just more annoying when you just miss out because the time differences are smaller than usual.

Oh what the hell, I may not always be DFL, I'm in @half_sourly

Will just have to remember not to change my nickname again

Same here @half_sourly.
Thanks for your work!
Back in now.
You are welcome to add me to future leaderboards.

Don't want to bother you but you forgot to add me in the list .

@soccmals

Thank you
Back in. Sorry about missing people out who were on. I was messing about with ways to create the leader board given the new way I get data and in the process cut a part of the information off.
I think he was referring to driver placement, not time gap, although both can of course more or less directly be derived from the Percentile / Gap to #1 columns

For BrandsHatch my personal results are exacly 1:43.514 and I see myself 45181 in the GT7 Leaderboard as you write, which is 35,17% position (45181 out of 128463).
I think the rows you inserted speaks about times while I was commenting about the position.

Having said that, it was just a comment, so feel free to handle it as you prefer. The effort you are putting in this and the kindness of your replyes are of great value as much as the result that you give back to us
Is this what you had in mind?

FWIW, this is what the distribution looks like right now:

@half_sourly thank you very much for your work! I really appreciate it. I also see that we got now country and I am happy to see that I am actually second in my country on this leaderboard 😊

I have a question for half time numbers. Some of us will reach safe gold by the half time and some will say I am good with it while some others will continue to chase milliseconds.

I know you are doing a lot for free, PD should hire you for sure, so I restrict myself asking you to do even more, so I will just write my thought here. Imagine if you can make a staple diagram for half time, where you have numbers every 0.100 of s second, and amount of players in that range. Example 1:30:0** = 10 people, 1:30:1** = 50 people, 1:30:2** 100 people, 1:30:3** = 300 people and so on only for gold range, not all participants. My thought here is, when I am on 1:31:3** and I am P 3000 but if I can see on half time statistics that if I go to 1:31:2** I can be under P 1000 I would definitely chase those milliseconds more than today.

So let's ask people on forum, please, who wants to see this half time statistics, press thinking 🤔 smiley and who don't think it's worth bothering press sad 😢 reaction button.

Thanks!
Do you mean something like this? This used the Brands results just as a test.

YES! That's exactly what I meant. So if someone is at 1:41.866 and manage to gain just to 1:41.766 that person will gain more than 3000 positions by just being 0.1 of the second faster. That surely motivate me to be faster😁

This is really cool stuff....I like to see the data and the statistics. However now that I am part of this, now I feel like I have to work hard and always put my best time forward everytime 😅. Prior to this, when I do the TTs, if gold is within reach, I try to hit, build a nice buffer then I move on. When I can't hit gold, I try to get as close to it as possible to guarantee a silver and then I move on lol. Which is why I generally take part in the TTs 3-4 days prior to their deadline. But now, I guess I'm going to have to keep at it lol 😆

it's very clear to me that i'm a real roadcar dude, the faster it goes the worse it gets for me
I had the same thoughts, but what I realized is that other than TT's I don't play very much (As my 28k kms total since day 1 shows), so I'm closer to the average with cars that people would use more in the game but cars that don't get used I'm better. And since I track my own stats, I put this together. Lol. This is for the TT's I've done since I started putting time into them which was the ID.R.
Slow cars=Mustang, Alphard, Wicked Fab, Audi TT, and G70.
Hypercars=ID.R, Radical, and Valkyrie.
The Super Formula kind of ruins my hypercar average as I did all of 10 laps without a ghost while I should have been packing for work. Lol

Quelqu'un d'autre n'a-t-il remarqué qu'après quelques tours que vous pouvez utiliser le dépassement sur la Valkyrie ? SMH, cela a fait une grande différence dans les temps.
Restart you have your nitro which is discharged !

Not at all stupid, it's not a common abbreviation :) Gold Silver Bronze

If you add up the numbers in your table it exceeds the number in the title above the table.

I should have clearer saying what I meant.
You're not counting the 5% with no reward.

Looks like it's just the way the data was pulled. Those numbers are everyone who have achieved at least that.

Ah :D

These numbers are cumulative (in the sense of "at least silver, at least bronze"). But I agree that this is can be somewhat misleading. Maybe I can make that more obvious in the future

I'm such an idiot...

Missed gold by 0.06%. I was going to come back to this for another crack at it and I was pretty confident I would do it but got distracted by daily race B and forgot about this. Agh!

Oh well, guess my gold run was going to come to an end anyway as I can't even get into silver with that stupid Valkyrie.
