My time ends in 69, can’t complain at that!! 😂 apologies @Barareklam for displacing you on the leaderboard, classic pseudo-alien behaviour! I hope you come back swinging while I’m away and can fend off the inevitable @Gomario JSP insane 90s nokia lap time that he’ll inevitably pop in soon 😁 originally I had beaten your time by 0.001s, they felt particularly harsh so I had to go and make it less jarring (is it less jarring!?)
haha, it is not less jarring :D awesome lap times from you as usual.
I am pretty busy with life lately, just like you now, but still hope to get some time to make few laps. I think I have few more miliseconds in me but we all know how it is difficult to pull that perfect lap especially when one is so close to leading times, I read there is currently only 18 👽 with time 31.8xx , with other words, reaching that might be extremely difficult...

There have been quite a few additions to our leaderboard over recent days. Below are boards for the current two open TTs - position as of this morning. Let me know if you've asked to be on and can't see yourself, so that I can fix it for next Thursday's update.

Also, I am still fiddling with Excel formulas and fixing error messages for various exceptions, so if you see something that doesn't look right, let me know.
Thank you very much for your work. I like studying the stats a lot. I wonder if it would be a problem if every participant could reveal inputs used for the TT. I mean pad or wheel, automatic or manual transmission.
My set as for now is not really standard and has a lot of negatives, which I am aware of but I'm interested to see what others use.

I use PS5 controller - acceleration R2, brakes - square, directions - left joystick, automatic transmission, bumper view

Brakes on L2 don't work for me, because it disturbs the steering precission, but what I miss most is manual transmission, which I have to learn and in my opinion can improve the results a lot.

Just noticed that somebody already propose that idea. Sorry for double post. I had no time to read the forum since Friday and replay to some early post.

Managed to slightly improve at both BB and RBR. Opt at RBR is still only 17.9, but hitting low 18's more consistantly now, so maybe I can get below 18 in tonight's last attempt. Still a lot of time for the BB TT. Don't know if I can break the 32. A lot of fast people here and huge potential for improvement. I just can't quite grasp my weakness in this combo.

New improvement at RBR!
Now best time is 1:19.797

Here is video:

My advice is to avoid 2nd gear aside from using it for rotation - losing a lot of speed spinning tires and you're using TC. That, and in my opinion you're taking T1 way too narrow which causes you to lose a lot of momentum. When I started to go far left (right tires on rumble strip) braking slightly earlier than you and turning in at the 50-board, I started getting wayyy more speed down the straight - I would recommend using 3rd there and don't mash the throttle or it'll get bogged down or spin

You've got several tenths left on the table just in T1 and T3 because you're entering them way too shallow, compromising a straight-line exit. Your exits themselves are fine but you can achieve the same exit with a later entry, resulting in a faster exit on a similar line.

That is some serious 👽 time, P25 I see, congrats ! Do you have .8** in OPT ?
Thanks! Dont remember, did 10lap stints, opt’s was hovering low .9 if I remember right. 👍

Did find few new tricks thou:

T3. No need to brake, just down shift to 3rd. Slight lift might be needed. Theres a square box up on the fence, go to 4th berore that and full trottle. You need to time this so that you dont hit the wall when exiting the corner. (Ok captn obvious) 😄

T4. Brake between 100board and the lights. Turn in quite late, but go to 2nd gear, this will help the car rotate.
Go to 3rd when car is pointing the right way, this needs to be way before the inside rumblestrip.
When in 3rd, full throttle and aim apex, inside tyres need to go over the strip, this will unsettle the car little, but give little more rotation.
If you dont get this timed correctly, you will need to lift, or hit the wall.

👍

Didn’t get much time to lap over the weekend as lots of house projects took over. I had a quick go at the Red Bull Ring again, but I just can’t get on with the car - I’m parking this one up and hoping my Gold sticks. The last stint I did at Broad Bean (Friday I think) netted me the 32.171, and I might give it another go next weekend.

However, this week I will mostly be lapping a 917 (Brits of a certain vintage will know how to say that sentence in the heads ;)).

Had a short 6 lap session this morning… I haven’t driven the car other than to get the S-10 license at Spa. It’s a flighty thing… no downforce to speak of and lots of torque. Going to be fun! After completing my stint I checked my friends leaderboard to see if anyone had put a lap in - this made me chuckle @Saargasm!

I should be up there soon. But work was brutal last night, so I don't know how long my nerves will last at La Sarthe. We shall see!

After getting a 32.003 again and then a 32.002, I finally broke in the 31's with an optimal of 31.906 which seems so close but so far.

I don't know if i'll try again later on, but very happy with being above the finns for the first time. Though i'm sure it will change at the end 😅

Oh man that car/track combo is super difficult! It took me like 20-mins to log a lap lol - had to go watch some replays to understand how the heck to drive this car around this track lol. Need to find like 8-seconds to be competive here but don't know how motivated I am - but I have safe golds in both of the current TT's, so maybe I'll put some time in here for some country pride lol

I suppose all my focus today went to BB. I'm hunting for a sub 32 second lap, but so far it escapes me. Optimal lap looks good, I'm close, but at least I'm still managing to make small improvements.

As far as the Porsche event. Holy moly, I wasn't expecting that car to behave as it does. It somehow feels less confidence inspiring here than it did during the S10 wet lap at Spa. I only did a few exploratory laps, no replays yet but at least I'm under 4 minutes ... smh ...

For anyone that hasn't been able to gold B.B. yet, couple of things....

1. You only use 4th gear for almost the entire track, literally just downshift to 3rd to brake for the last corner and get you through about 1/2 of the front straight, then up to 4th and stay there the whole time.
2. Watch Mistah_MCA's video break down of it.

Oh. My. Goodness. The Porsche is a handful and a half! It's too bad it's America only getting this TT, because the Finns would have a field day with this thing! The acceleration is actually quite nice with no noticeable wheelspin. It's everything else about it that makes it so difficult to drive. You have to brake early. Very early. And you better do it in a straight line or else the thing immediately kicks sideways on you. Fast sweepers? Good luck with those. At first it understeers then suddenly gets loose at the flip of a switch. You can hear me stabbing the throttle constantly through the Porsche curves because of this. Using 'x' for gas isn't doing me any favors.

Over 4 seconds off the lead. But since it's only day 1 and USA participants, I'm all the way up in 38th. I'm going to plug away at this one when the RBR TT finishes since I'm aiming for under 1:18 there. Not sure I'll go back to BBR. Just not enjoyable for me.

One nice thing is I don't have to worry about any Scandinavians on my friends' leaderboard. :P

You know the scene from Independence Day when they’re in the alien mothership hoping the aliens don’t notice they’re there? This is just like that…….
Was starting to think that once the new TT starts this week I’d just move on from BB, but I just found some further motivation. Put in a 50 lap session for a further bump, at least 10 laps were 31.9xx with 5 being better than my previous 31.98x best. But the optimal is the new yardstick……..31.8’s might just be possible.

Holy........... That is an impressie time!!, congrats!
I spend an hour this morgen trying to beat my huge progressed time from yesterday  but didn't even came close to time,
more consistent right now with stints of 10 laps all in the 32.2xx but this morning i couldn't take T1 and T2 flatout anymore, my brains are fried i quess

I feel humble again now after Brants Hatch , you guys are reeling in some big boys-times here!
i have NO clue how i ever could get in the 32's!

314 miles (505km) driven in the Valkyrie tonight.

1:17:903

This car wants me bleed for every microsecond, and I am stubborn enough to oblige.

If you happen to hear an off-putting double clunk at odd hours, that's the seething, clinical, rage-filled sound of me double and triple shifting in lieu of trail braking...

Oh, the 917 is a joy to drive, by the way. I have no idea what's going on, and I'm way off the pace, but I'm loving every moment of it.
