You just don't realise it yet, but that's ok, "missing time" is a common ailment among abductees.
Remember when we were mixing each other in TTs? I even beat you several times. Well, farewell to those.
The changes to your DNA are working already, my hybrid friend. They just need some more time to fully kick in.

How far the red dot moves when using the controller is speed-dependent. At lower speeds, it will turn "all the way." As you go faster, it won't. I assume this varies per car, but not certain.

Yes that is correct, after all, it is a G-Force meter.

However, I am going at exactly the same speed as the Ghost Top 1 time (which is obviously on a wheel) on the high-speed banked corners, and the dot is still at 80% despite me turning to the right all the way, even went as far as to put my thumb in the most awkward position to make sure I was tilting it all the way, and it was still stuck at 80%, while the wheel users go all the way right/left, ergo, they are pulling more Gs and thus are turning better and having an easier time choosing the ideal racing line. While they can start turning later, I have to start turning a fraction sooner to compensate, and it simply won't produce better laptimes that way, at least as far as top times are concerned.
 
Went at Maggiore again, grabed the M&M Supppbbrraaahhh and wastgated the hell out of the West end.

Earplugs in,sound at deaf-setting and try not to get distracted by the running kittens....
Man it sounds great..

I finally had some descent hairpins and banky boi's, altho not in the same lap 🤣
But I was consistently faster overall so felt quite good.
I kind of missed my apex on T1 but made up some time at the hairpin, only Banky to go now.....still slightly cautious so left some time there but clocked 51.351 on the nokia-setup 😁🤣

Still some time on the table if one sticks it ....., but man, those are a few nasty corners 🤣 but we are a little bit faster than yesterday 😁

oh don't worry my friend, I haven't forgotten anything about those battles in the GT6 TTs. Proof that I haven't been abducted by aliens yet. Or if they kidnapped me, they missed something 🤣🤣🤣

This afternoon, I had decided to use the Porsche RSR again, because even if I was able to improve my time with the Supra, I feel more comfortable with the Porsche. So I took the ghost of @Mistah_MCA and I'm pretty happy with it. I set a time of 0'51'783 with the DS4 in manual and TC at 0. It's a much more comfortable car to drive and I think (well above all I hope) I can improve my time with the steering wheel or with the DS4.

So we were talking about a Spa TT not that long ago and now that we will get it, they came up with the worst combo that I could have imagine and in the wet too from the looks of it....this could be License S10 all over again...😱😮‍💨

LOL I literally brought it up this week - but they heard me and decided to be d*cks about it on one of my favorite tracks - out of all the damn combos they could have gone with and this is what we get. AKA gold time will be reserved for the aliens only in this high downforce beast
 
I just managed 31:974 on controller and I’m genuinely not very good, I just had the time / toooon of grief tolerance for once. OPT was 31:83something which is top 15. It can definitely be done.

Yeah, I just now saw SuperGT's video on the BB TT with the NISMO.

The Red Dot that shows the G-Force on the wheel can go all the way to the right/left (depending where you turn) while in the Dual Sense it can only go to about 80% or so of each side, basically, never being in the Full G-Force, ergo, being slower at taking a corner.

Yeah, won't even bother too much with this one till the end of the day. I'm hardware limited here. Below a 31.9 is pretty much impossible without a Wheel. And to those mates who've surpassed the sub 32 barrier, congrats. It probably required a toooon of grief to get all those miliseconds after tons of laps done.

You’re definitely going to be top 30 with that time! I very very nearly had a 31.8xx tonight but just tapped the wall slightly on exit. 31.902 is my final time and I’m happy with that but when you’re so close to the next tenth of a second… 🥲

As for Lago Maggiore, it’s not my favourite track.. feels too arcade like and banky boi is the worst offender. However, it is growing on me as is the far too OP Supra Concept. Did it ever race or is it literally just a concept? If the latter there is no way it should be quicker than actual legendary/proven race cars. I DIGRESS! Set some laps with TC1 to remove the fear of this thing swapping ends but actually it’s manageable TC0. I think a sub 51 second time is doable but I may not have time to do it. Happy with my first session though!! to be continued…

I am currently P22 and I am extremely happy for it, happy like planet earth 🌎 and considering that I made my time on controller 🎮 I am happy to the moon 🌙 and back.

Bless this board because this is certainly an achievement! I know if it were me, sharing with my wife would be met with an eye-roll lol and we know how hard it is to do what you just did. Super happy for you my Ikea friend!
 
Sitting on a best time of 51.400 through 76 laps, I would have been slightly more than peeved if I didn't improve, as it was a whopping .002 improvement on my best from two days ago. :lol: Thankfully, I put up a faster time on lap 77. But it could have been better. I didn't get the best exit out of the right hairpin. Several times I was up coming out of the hairpin, only to have a miserable right banker each time. Optimal was a 51.195.

You're losing a lot of time turn 1 and 2, by starting too wide. Treat it like a double apex, hitting the inside edge on entry, up to the wall mid corner, then your exit should be right on the right edge of the track (I usually have 2 wheels over the green line at the exit). Turn 2 you can take flat out from that position (though i need to lift a touch just to stop the car hitting the rev limiter can costing me time before turn 3). Also, turn off TC, that will save you a few tenths.

My best is a 31.92, though my optimal was a 31.79, so a bit of time left... but my aim is top 100 and I'm pretty safely there at the moment.

Use the top time ghost on about 0.2 seconds with the reset option on.
Put the apex indicators on if you don’t have them, then from the top of my head:

Just cross the apron on entry of T1, then drift high up to bank at the apex. On exit get one wheel on the green apron. Then as soon as the track straightens gently but quickly turn in to T2 and drop to 80% throttle very briefly before the apex. Get very close to the wall and hold left lock as tight as you can on exit until you are almost in to T3

For T3, turn in sharply a fraction of a second before you brake, apply less than 50% brake and throw it in to 3rd. The car will lurch 20 degrees to the left and then 20 degrees to the right. Just before it finishes lurching back to the right, throw it in to 4th and gun it with full lock to the right and pray you don’t hit the wall. If you think you are going to lift for a millisecond.

Then the final corner…. get close to the wall and brake hard briefly at 90m just before the orange marshals on the left and drop to 3rd. I turn in at just about 50m and then trail brake. I try and get the front right just over the double yellow line and then hammer out of it on full lock and full throttle. Occasionally I hit the wall, smash my controller through the tv and drop kick the cat through the window, but you’ve only got 1hour 40mins so don’t waste time with that sort of thing and good luck.

This morning i had a OPT of 50.998 :boggled::irked: (had a insane good hairpin?!) but just could not get the right window, could not stick it all together....

So i think this is it for me for Maggiore, leaving on Saterday night makes that i have only 3 days to try to get a time on Spa that holds till the end, cause my Maggiore time will prob do :lol:, sad i have to choose between the TT's, i'm not going to take my nokia setup with me on vacation, that's just to much :lol:

Or if the planets aligned in a late run?

Got a modest bronze on my first and unique lap at Spa. Grinding here very oftenly + CE in gold helpt me a lot to learn this wonderful track.

For now, I stay focused on Lake Maggiore until the end to join the very select "0:51" club.
No improvement on this side for now but I keep trying and pushing.

It's just a friends leaderboard so don't worry, I'm not costing anyone anything lol. Still 22 people ahead of me. I've had a sub 51 awhile now but improved a bit yesterday so I'm now at 50.866. There's still a week left with that one..
