Here I am below the 2'43 mark but still far from the gold medal. I have to win 0'00'900 to hope to have it !!!!🥵🥵

Here are some statistics for TT34 at Broad Bean Raceway Reverse in the Amuse NISMO 380RS Super Leggera.

Highlights:
  • Participation was above 150k.
  • This was an easy TT by most metrics, with 16.6% of drivers getting gold and only 6.8% getting no reward.
  • I've updated the GTP leader-board with various changes highlighted to me over the week and have added a country ranking column so that @Barareklam can show off! :) (Well done, excellent result!). I realise the number formatting there is not great but will sort that out later. As always, shout if you see mistakes or omissions.

Not done this week as I'm short of time.

Drivers with gold in all TTs
The number of drivers with gold in all TTs to date dropped from 124 to 123.

Top job yet again my friend.

I’m on a wheel btw.

Well I tried to improve my time at Broad Bean last night to see if I could get closer to top 1% but failed. In the end, the last I check I finished at 1.48% on my US account and 1.98% on my GB account. Both were the highest places I have so far finished. In the end I liked Broad Bean but I never did get the last turn 100%.

BTW, if you were curious about Jeddah_racing who is often at the top of the leader boards, he revealed himself over at Reddit.

Yet, at low speeds that steering angle indicator can reach it's max position (both controller and wheel), and yet, on high speed turns, the controller only reaches about 80% or so despite being all the way right/left, while the wheel can reach all the way still. It's strange.

But yes, it can't be a G-force if the red dot turn to the way you turn into, while G-force goes the opposite way.
Yeah. I'm not sure but it could have something to do with preventing the front wheels from locking (= turning too much) because controllers don't have Force Feedback and you need to be very precise with your steering inputs.

Thank you a ton for this. I'm glad to be a part of it. It's awesome to see these stats and to not feel like I'm as awful at this game as it makes me feel occasionally... 🤯

New TT is interesting 🤔

I was expecting a sliding fest, but the car grips pretty well for the condition. Still need fine inputs...but not spinning around if you looking at it funny. I put in 6, 7 laps during lunch but only managed a 2:41.7 atm....plenty of room to improve obviously as I was driving extremely conservatively, but should be able to gold this one after putting in more laps (hopefully 🤣).

It's similar to the Valkyrie in that it spins up but is stable in a straight line when it does it.

I don't mind the car moving about a bit and in some cases it helps to let it sort of drift in to the corners but it's a mental thing in my head when I see damp/puddles I just imagine ice!

I know that's not true but it's a massive mental hurdle to jump to push more for me!

2:43.2 on W. I'll try IM next, but something tells me I'm not making it above Silver for this one.

EDIT: threw on IM and dropped to 2:41.7. Looks like there's a decent amount of time to be made by making it a point to not run through any puddles you don't need to (which is most of them), especially some mid-corner ones as they kill your drive off the apex. As a bonus, the 4-star daily mileage ticket I got turned up 1 million credits when cashing it in, so even if I do only make Silver, lol....

Thanks again @half_sourly, awesome statting! I am on a wheel by the way 😁. Is there some sort of crown or something that GTP can issue you with as I feel with all this hard work you put in you are officially GTP royalty!

Congratulations again @Barareklam, where did you place exactly for that TT? Fastest Swede on the (GT) Planet!! I came 3rd fastest out of UK based drivers which is pretty awesome!

No driving for me today but hopefully I can hop on tomorrow for a few laps 😁

I finished P23

@Barareklam Congrats for that time of 31.861 with a Controller.
I can't imagine how much effort you've put into this to achieve that time. That turn 1/turn 2 sequence was a pain in the butt to perfect I imagine.
Thanks, I use DualSense but I steer with motion sensor.

Edit: yeah it was few sessions that each lasted 3 hours or even 4

Completely agree @Dan_Tes... As always @half_sourly, your efforts are sincerely appreciated. In typing this, I also accept that:
  1. you will run the results when it suits you, not when I/we expect you to run them
  2. if you don't run the results at all for an event (or two), then we will commend you for making more appropriate life choices than running spreadsheets for us and not berate you for it
  3. in running these results, you are giving up time that you could be driving/racing, and at some point in the future (maybe next week, maybe a year from now), you might realise the juice isn't worth the squeeze and want to stop... and that will be just fine and we'll respect you for it
🍻

I've tried it before but I just feel awkward with it, like it's a wheel without a stand and pedals. Haven't done much research on it, but now that I think about it, it's likely less nerfed than the D-Pad and Analog Stick when it comes to it's steering radius.
