Sneak preview based on Blue Moon Bay to date:

Love the best finish and average finish (although I wish I could go back to when I didn't try on these and set better times - that urge to grind on Tokyo back then was too great in my pointless quest to collect all the cars lol)

Agreed. I think I didn't really start doing TT until Dragon Trail with GT4? I think? But back then, I was just trying to get silver most of the time. Didn't get gold until Sardegna Track C with GT4...and I BARELY made it.

Can't wait to get my hands on the Viper trial, I'm watching this all unvault from te beach, sipping my drink....
I am back on sunday 6th so then have 3 days to put in a fast time on it before it runs out🤣
Glad Jeddah is already on it,
Also glad that the Spa times seems to have reached kind of a plateau?, let's hope it's the end 🤣

We are impatiently awaiting your return but take full advantage of this sun, the sea, and the drinks (without abusing too much anyway 🤣🤣🤣)

I've begun to accept that I won't get gold on Spa and I am okay with that. While the times have plateaued my TT attempts seem to be going backwards. I need to spend a solid 2 hour session on it and I don't see the time being available come that I'm on a 2 week UK vacation starting next week..

If I can make a suggestion, I will actually recommend to incorporate a 5-10 min break after every 20 mins or so (unless you're absolutely killing it and improving every single lap).
You can regain your focus during those breaks as well as analyze where you were strong and where you were not.

Best of luck with Spa TT. It's a difficult gold to get, but a very satisfying one.

The GTS striped livery helped and I dropped a tenth and change to a 1:13.760 lol

Optimal is still showing a 1:13.4 in 3 different sessions, so if the aliens go decently quicker at the top I'm going to have to grind out a few more quicker laptimes which I think I can do if need be.

Good suggestion. I know I can get stuck into a 1-2 hour sitting marathon hammering away at it seeing gains and regression and getting more and more angry at it when I plateau off..

Sometimes I park the car on track (if I have a good reference time to measure the split against) go away for 10 minutes or so and when I come back - Bamn! new fastest lap. I always though that perhaps my tires cooled down and that helped but it is probably the refocusing.

I just noticed that the world record on Blue Moon cuts the corner completely, all wheels are inside the curb by a good margin, but no penalty.

If you apply the same logic to curbs on the infield portion, you do get a penalty. It would be very helpful if there was a consistent application of penalties, because at the moment it is a guessing game

I'm gonna be off the leader board for a bit. Taming the new rig is not as easy as it may seem. It is so incredibly fun with a wheel though.

Please, just ignore my times. 😂😂😂
Indeed it is :) Now add PSVR2 to the mix and BOOM!!

@787Bee There are 2 corners you can cut in BMB. The last left hander before the oval and the right kink in the infield, basically as long as you don't hit the barrier, you are good....very important to cut them for good lap time.

I guess the white concrete is still within the track limits or considered as a kerb. There are three turns like that (when entering the infield, the first right hander in the infield and the last left hander before the oval), all of which can be cut the same way.

Here's the WR holder showing how much you can cut:

Good results today, I worked a little on the Porsche eSports event at Daytona and the BMB TT.

With a couple days left on the Porsche event, I wanted to see if I could get a bit higher on the leaderboard. Managed to find about a tenth, but it was good for about 100 places. I'll try again tomorrow as my optimals look much better.

Secondly at BMB, I decided to add stripes to the Viper for a classic look. I think you'll agree, the car looks great in the blue and white.

As expected, I was faster with the stripes, so I think this proves our theory. Just how much faster? How about over 0.6 seconds! Good enough for Gold, currently. However, be weary of Jeddah_Racing as he is sans stripes, so the WR could drop more.

Thank you very much! You are the star of this thread. Glad that you added average too, it gives a bit more broad picture of statistics. I think when I started playing TTs I was ending around P20 000 and you and other helpful people on this thread helped me be faster and getting better results. Thank you all for your great tips and contribution.

Put in a touch over 50 miles my first session in the Viper today with a best of 1:13.398. Optimal was a 1:13.0. Like Spa, I think I can pick up a good chunk with more practice getting used to the car. 1:12's shouldn't be an issue. Just how low will I be able to go by the end?

Down to a 1:13.6 with CSA on strong. I assume it’s that which helped, might be placebo though.

Still not finding consistency through T1. And the final corner I seem to be drifting through and have a 50/50 on hitting wall on exit.

Probably not enough for Gold, but I’m sure it’s possible.

Hey guys, don't forget about me, I joined August 2021 so next month will be my 2-year anniversary for GT planet. I'm gonna take a stab at the Viper TT, but I may not bother much more with the Spa one. There are too many corners to master/navigate on the wet course and it's still a challenge while using the wet tires. So, I'm iffy about that one. I know gold is out for me there.
