Got back to TC where i was 4 seconds out of gold,...wasn't going any better until i quit using 1st gear...oops...now i've got a .103 gold cushion,sweet....tried Atlanta, talk about a change of scenery, buckle up,lol,,need to pick up another .170ish there.
I messed up and put myself in the under 17 class at Suzuka,lol,,..gold time is 2:26.412....614 out there...lots of time left though...
And Nurburg, after 2 laps, lil over 10 seconds out...good times!

Can anyone give me some tips here, here's 2 videos I recorded. I'm getting closer to the gold range. There's really not a lot of work/thinking to do here, the challenge is how to best get my exit speed off Sectors 1,2 and 4. Something keeps killing my time. Help please!!

Had a quick blast around RA this evening and managed to duck under 66 seconds for what I think will be a safe gold. It’s an interesting challenge but not necessarily an enjoyable one 😂! Any further lap time this weekend will be spent at the ‘Ring, but I’m comfortable that I have safe golds across all three events, given that we’re away on Monday for two weeks back in the UK to visit family. That should then give me 3 days when we return to get into the Tsukuba replacement event 🤞and I won’t miss a TT!

Nice! I haven't tried this yet. I had a time with the X2019 challenge back in Fall 2022. So I'm leery about this. Can you help me with the Tsukuba one, I posted a couple videos up above.

Are you able to move from automatic to manual transmission Chris? You really want to be using a higher gear everywhere to limit the wheel spin.

No, I wish I was an expert on MT, I use the L2/R2 buttons for moving the gears (1-6) up and down. I have to watch it thought b/c if I overwork my hands, they may feel numb.

Alright, had a bit longer session today at Road Atlanta in the Porsche 919. I must say it's not my favorite TT and reminds me of the one with the X2019 (at RA) a while ago. That T2 is still a pain in the arse, and so is T4. The visibility is not the greatest in the Porsche in VR which made things even more interesting.

PB: 1:04.759. I'm quite happy with that and don't think I'll come back to this.

It seems so simple with you !!!!. it gets scary 😱😱🤣🤣🤣
Congratulations for all these magnificent videos that you share :cheers:

For the DS you would try this configuration : R2 for acceleration, L2 for brakes, joystick left for direction and joystick right for gear

Ha! You know what happened 👀
I just watched the rest, had to go to sleep yesterday at midnight due to a very early alarmclock 🙈, glad you grabed it mate, was deserved.
So funny to hear someone saying what you think yourself during that long laps, that last lap was funny! "Don't be a d*ck in the last corner now" after the second caroussel 😂
You left atleast 2/3 tenths there mate after you said that!, 🤣
the very last corner was too close to watch, you still got paint on that side? 🤣

Great job mate, join the club 😁🤣👍

Hi Chris, is see you riding AT, that's ofcours a real struggle with this one because rotating on first gear and exit in third is a real easy way to get to the gold, but we have to work around that.
I would def loose the TCS then here and try to feed the throttle carefullfy to mimimize the wheelspin , just practice without it, maby difficult at first but after a while you get used to it and are in control of power delivery, not a bad TT to change 😁 exitspeeds are key here

That is close mate!, you can almost lick it 😁🤣, I can't imagine doing this motionsteering..... you apparently going to nail this one that way, curious howmany in the world will achieve that!

How are the arms feeling? Sore yet? 🤣🙏
Haha... Arms are good, no worries.
Yeah, I am also curious how many are on motion sensor steering but I guess there is no statistics for that? Our statistics master @half_sourly maybe know someone who know someone who can find those data?

Ok, I'll set the TCS to maybe 2. What about the brake balance. I may switch back to an MT for better gear response.

Managed to get down to a 1:05.846 at RA in the 919. Having to restart each time or do a slow lap in between is quite annoying. I think I could eek out a couple more tenths with some more reps.
Even more annoying is that even with a restart you have to manage the battery on the way to the line. I've set a safe gold time now so will leave it at that.

At Nürburgring I also have a safe gold but will probably try at some point to get under the target time.

I was being so cautious ha, so very nearly too cautious! If the game simulated parts coming off I'd have no wing mirror, that's for sure!

I never tried conserving battery through the first section... and actually my fastest lap in the 06s was a second lap just going as hard as I could. Maybe a dumb question but do the tires have to warm up for a time trial or is it always the same?

Well ...that's unexpected. Lost a good 1/2 a second in between the carousels...and was at less 1/2 a second slower than my previous (binned) lap after the foxhole. I think I totally nailed the last sector thus making up some time.

Ideal you should turn it to zero, very doable in this civic, just learn the moment the boost kicks in, brake balance is not ajustable on TT's , and indeed, MT, learning that will benefit you all through the game, I think some races in game are almost impossible in AT? ,

Go get it Chris!

Been away. Returned last night and hit a 1.01.5xx at Tsukuba fairly quickly surprisingly, as i don't really like the track and tend to struggle to hit good pace here. I may go back and push for more, but i doubt it.

Not touching the gr1....

Looking forward to the two new civic tt's. Will get on these later today i suspect.

Are there already people who did both TT's? Nordschleife and Suzuka?, I'm curious if the Suzuka one is just as hard?

Reglementairy it's not for me so i won't compete in that one but that doesn't mean I'm not curious 🤣

For me, Gold was a similar difficulty but the Certificate time in Suzuka is 10x harder than the Nords one.
