Okay, so I have a few words about this snow TT. In principle, great fun. In practice, I can see how this might drive a lot of people insane. Not only those who already hated the dirt physics. Not only those who question snow. But even those who welcome both. Track limits seem, to me, completely against the spirit of the sport. Snow rallying does not frown upon a little leaning on the banks, but of course GT7 does. But that is not the worst of it. Those green poles are an absolute travesty! I'm not sure if those are supposed to be structuraly solid, as in something that would be a bad idea to hit in real life. But here they seem to be like slalom poles, and hitting one of those being an invalidated lap is ridiculous to me. I am also afraid that some lucky alien might find a complete Hail Mary manouver by sliding between two of those poles somewhere and getting a line that is not feasible at all for general public.

Got a gold for now as well, but again: this has potential to turn very problematic.

Edit: Just now, looking at my screen capture below I noticed the track map looks like a message from PD to the TT community. As if like a finger... or something :mischievous:

Yup.....no pun intended, but I don't have a snowball's chance in hell of gold'ing this one I'm pretty sure. I'll have to be happy with silver I'm thinking.

EDIT: Well, maybe not snowball's chance. I just did another handful of laps and somehow dropped a bunch of time to a 1:47.378. Still a silver, but just on the cusp of gold now....but I have to imagine gold time will drop into the 46's at some point.

After 80km of driving through Tokyo night, I improved my time from 1:36.5 to 1:27.711!
It's easier now, when at least bronze looks secured.

Didn't try snow TT yet.

UPDATE: forgot to say that I got 6 stars ticket for daily workout, and there was:

Hard pass on the new TT.

There seems to be some sort of impact intensity calculator built into the calculation for whether or not hitting those things invalidate the lap. Because it only seems to invalidate the lap if you hit it hard enough. Sometimes running over them will be fine, but the next lap if you hit them going just a little bit faster the lap is invalidated.

I think it's on how you hit them.

They bounce back.

That said if you hit them then on the most part you are taking the slower line.

Yo guys!!

Ultra quick update from Dan; life is ultra busy right now and i have 72 hours at home before another 10 days away boooooo. So grinding time trials to the last thousand of a second is the off the menu here. Got stuck into Tokyo today and enjoyed it. Frustrating sometimes when you just kiss the wall (or absolutely pile drive into it, it’s either or for me!). Think I’ve left a few tenths here but quite enjoyable 😁

The Macca at BH.. wow tough at first but also very very rewarding, what an absolute shame it’s not open to all because it’s actually mad fun when you get it right!!

Yaris snow day seems a lot of slidey fun and slightly less infuriating than the horrific rally physics (the smoothness of the snow helps no end imo!) could be great 😁 shame I won’t be around to enjoy it 🫠

Happy lapping all!!

Missing you already 🥺

I am either going to gold the snow pretty quickly or not score a medal at all. That has always been the case for me with the rally tracks. Hopefully I get a few in tonight between things. Kinda looking forward to it and kinda dreading it too.

Ok, first few laps on the white.... I have a problem with 2 corners..... T1..how the hell can you see the bollards when you are in turn 1 🤣🤣, they are somewhere behind me because I'm watching the infield thru the front window.... 🤣

Then T8..... is this a single, double or trippel apex corner??.....🤣🤣

And then thr tighter corners like 10 and 11.... I have no idea if I have to enter in 2nd or third.... 11 exit in 3th seems to be faster..

Lots to find out here, I golded the CE fairly easy, this I a bit harder, but first meters were not that bad, in the gold for now with 47.090

Thank you very much for your great work!

I really love statistics you do and sometimes have ideas ( fantasies :D ) for some additions, but I am sure you already put proper work in it in order to make these tables, so I am constraining myself sharing ideas. This time I think to suggest you to remove something :D in order to add something so amount of work is the same. I just wonder, for example it is very nice to see all statistics from the very first TT, but I am watching motorsport on TV and many of those numbers are related to current year. I wonder if it is good idea for next year to have next year numbers ? and maybe remove "from TT 1"? What I think good with that is, we reset and then everyone is on same conditions and can start chasing "all gold" for year 2024, and best "ever" placement but for 2024, not really from TT 1. I think people might get motivated to improve numbers when we restart and we just compete for 2024 and not forever. Just me thinking out loud. You are THE master and know how much more work it might take so you decide if it is good or bad idea.
So now that that you are pumping out Registered Alien times week after week you want to reset the scoreboard!? Yeah right!!

Just kidding. I think there is something in your suggestion so leave it with me. It is likely to be both (or more; maybe form over last ten or twenty for example). I think there is value in the all-time stats though so will keep them going.

On the subject of improvements, someone else (don't have their gtplanet name unfortunately) suggested a separate thread for TT results so that you can easily go back to older results. Watch this space...

Would you add me to the ol leaderboard? Would love to see my stats to date too, I've improved dramatically since early on. I'm a wheel user on PS5 btw. PSN is CraigRackhaed
Will do. Please send me a link to your GT7 page. Here is mine by way of example.

Sooo, WinterWonderLand TT 1:45.1 P15 atm,
Just need to figure how to get out of that last corner faster, lose roughly .4 on the last straight.

This car also likes the ABS weak. plus the diffs are set up really tight, so if you need it to turn, go full throttle.

Its not that bad friends, just takes little bit different driving style. :gtpflag:

That would be me.
It doesn't have to be separate thread, but a place where we can easily browse past results. Maybe some kind of page like for the WRS Fetchy (RIP) and the WRS results since it's already out of commission. Admins took interest in our little circus recently so maybe would be willing to share some space...

Here are some statistics for TT53 at Autódromo de Interlagos in the Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series '20.

Quite a few people have new best placings, well done @ERAZER @JRFrench @Todt @Mira-maki @Bacchanalist @Dep Fishtail

Drivers with gold in all TTs
The number of drivers with gold in all TTs to date dropped from 107 to 106.

[/SPOILER]
142,605 participants? That sounds like a lot compared to other time trials.
