No chance ! I don't have your experience on the pad, and I like to use the right analog stick for throttle/brake as well which i'm sure is not the optimal way to use the pad
You are very close lately and sometimes faster, so you can give yourself some credit :)
Maby the anolog stick throttle/brake is an advantage for you here, who knows!

But i am going to defend this one!!:lol::lol:

Are there any figures yet on how many people drive the snow TT? It will certainly be the TT with the fewest participants.

It's actually weird but I'm usually on the wheel for 95% of all TTs. But once or twice I favor the pad for some reason, and my best ever position (P134) was actually on a pad   So maybe there is some advantage !

Wow! Great result in Tokyo after only one day. I'm still struggling and can't even gold the CE over a full lap (neither Tokyo nor in the snow). I would appreciate it If you load your fastest lap to use as a ghost. Anyway, psn-invitation is out (apaul3133).
I’ll give it another try and if something worthy happens, I’ll load up the lap. Unfortunately I didn’t save my lap yesterday. Sounds like some good incentive to help my fellow forum member 😁
Cheers

If you need some assistance you could share your lap and we can take a look and give advices if you want?
That's a very kind offer, and appreciated, thanks. I'll try to work out how to save the fastest lap from a session and share it.
I did try this evening to post a screenshot that shows I've finally got under 1:29 but the Playstation App (or iPad, not sure which is at fault) couldn't recognise my face so I couldn't sign in (forgot the password long ago!)🤣 Even so, I'm still 10.09% off the leader, so out of the medals.

I have put more time into this TT than any other. It's a beautiful car. The track, although frustrating with its feather-light touch settings, has a lovely flow, and I'm enjoying it. But I think this is the hardest TT I've tried to get bronze. I have missed out on bronze with other TTs, but those I just gave up on because I didn't enjoy them.

Still, a day or two left, and I will keep trying!

Not that I can compete with you guys mostly, but I have very few friends on PSN . I've been searching out usernames from here and adding those of you I can find but anyone that would like to add me please, feel free. Turbobinder is my screen name.

Cheers all, and happy snowplowing. 😂😂

That ist very kind. But this time I'm done with it. @GlockPants led me to silver once again and this week lacks racing time...

A run in the snow would be great to follow as I'm somewhere in bronze region... Greetings!

Am I the only one who thinks the Bronze , Silver and Gold system is odd. I almost always get silver after a warm up lap and gold after a few real laps on the pad . The gulf between 1% and 0.001% is massive. There should be platinum or something above gold.
The 1.5% thing for the olymipics could be a regular thing I think.

Happy most weeks with a gold or silver or bronze and for those that can a do faster they have a bracket to really push in to.

It's pure sector one for you mate, you are faster on S2 and S3 then I was on my fastest
lap ( your max speed is also a lot higher 🤣) so a little work on S1 and you are there 😁

I can't find the right "yeet angle" on turn one :/ And on those occasions where I somehow stumbled up on it, I would just mess up the following left hander. 🙃

Ok, I'm officially done at Tokyo. Perhaps there is some more time on the table, but I'm satisfied with this. It'll be my best result yet and took many, many invalidated laps to get to this point.

Managed this just after 3 laps, no restarts today.

And as promised, here's the lap ...

Now, a day to work on some licence tests before making Yaris snow angels to determine the best yeet angles!

I initially just wanted to do a run in VR in Tokyo before the TT ended, but decided to give Lake Louise a quick try.

Granted there is a lot of luck in my lap time but for this one VR might be a considerable advantage? Judging T1 almost feels “easy” compared to before.

Didn’t manage to get into 1.45.x but close. This should be safe, right?

I did get to tokyo a bit later and improved by 2 tenths or so. Not bad. I’m happy but maybe can do more. I’ll see if I find motivation in the last 2 days.

Yeah, it's a fine line indeed, I don't know if it is the same case with you, but I started too agressive on T1 at first, then kind of got the flow with waiting with the throttle, and enter it al little slower, get your drift right in 4th and keep you eye on the last bollard, no need to be very close to it, i think i got a carlength on it ....you can almost wait until you are up the banking to go fully on the throttle, I even lift now and then there and that isn't realy noticable on timeloss.

I uploaded my lap, maby it will help you find the sweeyeet spot for T1 😁

Good luck mate, I positive you will pull something out of the hat!

Cool beans! I will definitely look at it.

Mean while, I had yeeted myself into the 45s. I had totally and absolutely nailed the long right hander in the 3rd sector...I was literally on top of Tidgney's ghost and I set it to be 0.4 ahead, and I didn't mess up the final left/right.

I also shared my own replay in case you want to do some yeeting of your own 🤪

Damn; nice lap, that was fun to watch! Very very smooth. Thanks for sharing bro and congrats on your 👽 time!

(Greetings from Kazakhstan)

Had one more go at the Tokyo TT before it ends, I was just barely over .1 of grace room, and didn’t wanna test my luck. Ended up with a 22.1, optimal just into the 21’s, but couldn’t put the lap together. This should be safe now though at least.

I was wrong about the Lake Louise time trial. Sliding around in the snow is an absolute blast. I initially approached this one in the wrong manner, the trick here is to use minimal brake inputs and keep the accelerator pinned to the floor. I'm at a 1:46:298 at the moment. I know there is more in it. Just need to get T1 and the final turn correct.

I don't know why, but I can't seem to go fast at Lake Louise. The Yaris either bogs down or looses speed during sliding as I can't find the right angle. Usually fairly quick on dirt and didn't have any trouble golding snow licences and the CE, so I'm kinda bummed out on this TT although I was rather looking forward to it. Glad everyone else is having fun - maybe I'll get there too if I give it more time.

Try using the higher gears. I sometimes find myself using 5th as well.
