First real concerted effort around Trial Mountain with this TT. Completed the Circuit Experience to get a feel for the track, now I’m slowly chipping away my time. My first five or so laps yesterday were in the 1:59 realm (yuck!) but I’m now in the gold in the low 1:53’s. I’m hoping I can pull off something in the high 1:51’s with some more practise.

I’m also pretty happy with my best Spa lap in the Alfa Romeo, sitting at 2:41:049. I can tell I’m losing a lot of time at the corner at the bottom of the hill - from a Google I think that’s named Pouhon? I can’t seem to get round it without lifting off the throttle midway. Any tips for that corner or the rest of my lap would be helpful! (starts around 1:24 in the video below)

I don't know if I have much advice for Pouhon, because I always seem to end up sliding off before I even get midway around it. It's a tough corner to nail. Judging from the replay, you may have been able to get through the exit without lifting. Though I didn't have the controller (or wheel) in my hands to know what you the car felt like as you were navigating the turn, it may have been better keeping the accelerator planted. The car is pretty nimble. With that said, you did take a slightly shallow entry to the second part of that corner. Getting closer the the rumble strip on the outside midway through would have helped you get a better angle for the exit. Much easier said than done, though.

Managed to get under 53'! Woo that felt quick!

Did my first laps in Trial Mountain in this TT, I'm new to the game and gotta say the track is cool, less flowy than I remembered, and the Supra also feels a bit trickier than GT5/6, but specially I don't get the feeling of the car under braking, turned off ABS and managed to get a 57 high, still a lot of work to do.

Sincerely I don't think I'll get to gold, those 2 million are tempting, but if I strike silver I guess I'll call it a day, is not that far.

From the replay, it looks like you are coming at the second apex too early @mattmouth - there also seems to be some more lock available to you… run the car a little wider mid corner and then get tighter to the apex in the second part and you can stay flat… if you see yourself running a little wide, you could also change up to fifth through the exit as it loses less time than a lift in fourth. Just my $0.02, but I’m barely quicker than you, so take it with a pinch of salt 😂 👍

Drove 60 laps today at TM. No improvement, but wasn't looking for one. Mostly just trying to figure out sector 3....and no, it is still a mystery for me.
Ahhhh same here, friend alien ! Many laps yesterday but without improvement 🥈. It's a real frustration to be comfortable on all the parts of the track and to see the time ruined by some meters (or miles, if you prefer).

I'm able to understand and improve all the others sectors of the track on the CE but not this one where I'm still mostly in silver when I practice... I guess the issue is this ***** turn at the end of the long straight.
Or the chicane.
Or both.
Or me :D

Am safe bronze at Trial Mountain but trying for silver. Not doing very well at Spa - it's like the Ring to me, love the track but obviously not driving it right!
Have to go for a trip Monday morning and won't be back until Friday. That only gives me an hour or two "playtime" to try and sort something out at Spa! Fingers crossed!

Sounds like I need to take it wider on the middle of the corner then! Thanks, I’ll give that a go on my next session and see if it helps.

The weird thing is that it seems that the gain or loss per corner is way more with this car to the point were I don't realy understand it, after a s*itload of laps this morning(380km) I still had had delta's when I thought....ooh wel clearly did something right but also feeling I nail the first sector but seeing a +400.....

But overal I'm getting faster but for the laps I did I'm still not consistent, I had optimals in the 1:51.5xx but is just wasn't in the cards.

Did run a PB in the end but not satisfied with it, but the fingers hurt, I'm going for coffey....

1:51.866, felt like top 50.....just isn't 🤣🤣

I have no clue how to even get close to a top 100 on this one, and those toptimes are realy insane...feels like a bigger gap than normal?

I have to agree that this one is somehow slightly strange as you and @Evilmuffin pointed it out. I managed to run flat 1.52 on my first day, having still -0.3 in deltas and I was thinking, well I will just drop it to 1.51 and that's it... Now after 800 kms I still haven't reached 1.51 and when I think I have good lap I reach finish line and I am at 1.52.5 and scratching my head where have I lost the time.... Still, it's fun challenge but at same time so easily half a second lost in .. Well I don't know where haha , one tenth here one tenth there 😂

I can copy/paste your message (but with different values): exactly the same experience
If someone find my tenths sec. lost on the track, please send me back urgently !!! :D

Wasn't feeling Spa at all. Got a safe gold time earlier in the week and called it a day. Maybe i'll go back to improve later on.
However, this week's TT was another story. As soon as I saw the combo, I knew i'd like it. Had good optimals throughout the week, but managed to tie all the good sectors together this morning and posted a 1:51.5xx. Usually I call it a day when I post a new PB, but decided to storm through the very next lap and managed to post a 1:51.3xx.

Good luck everyone at TM, I'm getting started on Spa tomorrow, I've put it off long enough, I guess I'm dreading the track b/c there are some complex turns and corners that I have to consider. I have to plan my lap ahead so I can pull off a gold time. Let's manifest it, I'm envisioning in my mind that I'm gonna achieve gold, the mind is a powerful tool. So is the brain.

[GOD mood]

This (great) TT with this (great) car are seriously getting on my nerves...:banghead: :irked: :banghead: :irked:
2 hours, tens of laps without a single decent time (ohhh I don't even expect an improvement).

Sector 1: mostly around 31.5xx (could be correct for gold)
Sector 2: mostly around 40.5xx (could be correct for gold)
Sector 3: 43:5xx or higher... :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: <--- I can't translate and express my emotions here but you have the idea...

"Sector 3, **** sociopath, I hate you, and all your family!!!"
- Me

Otherwise, I found a gold mine at Fisherman's Ranch... :embarrassed: There's could be another one in the Colorado... :dopey:

After exhausting morning session, I started with evening one.
Everything was same for first 200km, where I didn't set real time, only few 54s laps and endless restarts...
Then in next 100km it started to show signs of better time, but didn't set.
Until I posted almost same lap as my pb, still in silver.

Next was 1:53.425!
Finally!

Again, huge slide and TC lock at chicane, where I lost at least half second.
I can't drive this one without TC.

Now I can sleep better, until early morning session...

UPDATE: really don't know why is YT putting that music in my videos...

10 more laps at Spa, very frustrating, especially the one where I was just a last corner about to improve my best lap a come back into silver but yet managed to lose 0.4s  (lap 8)

Most laps invalidated, most laps not even usefull to pursue once I've butchered Eau Rouge, some where despite a good Eau Rouge I've already managed to lose 0.7s in the first turn...
