Jimmy Fallon Anticipation GIF by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Group 3 at Mount Panorama! Let's go everyone!
Nice ! I like that track and that category of cars. Does not mean it'll be easy but at least I know I'll enjoy the process 😁

Wish I can get a secure gold at AP first though...

I've tried almost every Gr.4 car at Autopolis and for some reason the fastest car for me is the Citroen GT, a car I'm not particularly fond of. Also the visibility in VR is the worst, but what you gonna do. In the 650S, SLS and Supra I was consistently over 3 tenths slower.

Managed to break into 1:52 today, so that'll do for now.

into the 52's come ooonn... is there any combo that doesn't suit you?? very well done!
I was already kind of done with Autopolis, i'm only doing the trials one week otherwise i'll get bored :lol: and revisiting is not my strongest point
So today was my last attempt for that one despite me saying "i'm already done with it...." lol., but now i'm curious about the Citroen....... 3 tenths is a lot on your lap :lol:

My attempt with the 650S was again frustrated as hell with a PB of 53.768 and .....

I just can't seem to deliver a solid clean lap here :grumpy::banghead:

So I've tried the Supra twice and the SLS, McLaren, and Citroen once. My thoughts so far: The SLS is quite stable and genuinely quick overall (best so far with it was the 53.964). I did a stint in the McLaren yesterday and found it also very stable, but I could not put down a "fast" time compared to the other cars. Lowish 54's were all I could muster. I hopped back in the Supra afterwards, assuming I would pick up on my SLS time. I got close but couldn't quite get there (53.98). I like tricky cars to drive (aside from the Genesis VGT I'm thankfully finished with), but in this particular case, I'm better with more neutral machines. I don't think I'm going to get back in the Supra. Tonight I decided to run with the Citroen. What a pleasant surprise! It handles nicely, though I still can't nail down the second hairpin. I either slide wide, understeer throughout the entire corner, or slow down too early and plod around the inside curb losing time. Anyway, it's the fastest car I've driven so far despite leaving a couple of tenths on the table. I'll be giving the SLS another go to see if I can improve in it. It was my best time until the plucky Citroen, and I feel I can squeeze more out of it.

I've got a decent time but was seriously annoyed two laps later where I was well up on my best through two sectors. But naturally, I struggled through the hairpin at the beginning of the final sector and completely blew the rest of the lap. :(
So everybody is dating the Citroen now........., maby......., because i realy don't like the new combo..... maby.....i must expand my hunt.... but i have not desided yet

So about that new combo...... that's going to be a hell of a workout with the slickness of the mount......GR3.... and soft racing tires...., that's the combo where you think you have grip, when you suddenly don't, ...... that will be invalidating code brown sessions...

yeeey :boggled:

Well guys the new TT is here, Group 3 cars at Mount Panorama! Are you ready to tackle the mountain!? I'm not usually that good on this track, so I need to learn from the pros of it! I do not like the Toyota Supra Gr. 3 car. I may start with the BMW one or the Porsche RSR. Well done Tidgney for getting the top time so far, I saw your name on the #1 spot!

Currently sitting on a 1:55.2XX in the Merc SLS AMG at Autopolis. A "secure" gold - however I know I can manage a 54 in this little gem, so I'm going to have another crack at that tonight before moving on to the new TT over the next few days.

Mount Panorama in Gr.3 will be interesting. I'm predicting the MR cars will be quick here, but also the most difficult to control on the way through the Esses and the Dipper!

Looks like at least they're letting us use RS tires. First time I think I've seen that on a Gr.3 TT.

I've had a bit of practice here lately from the GTWS, but I'm going to get a safe Gold and move on.

Both current combos are somewhat boring to me. So it'll be a good time to get some more single player events finished.
GT3 at Mount Panorama is something I would like to experience in VR and at the same time would scare me. In my opinion this track gets never boring...

Well I know the parts that will give me the most difficult time is the middle downhill section near the Fijustu banners. Near Sector 3. Sector 2 is always a pain for me too because I have to time each turn/corner of that section. I'm sitting on a 1'59.449 time at Autopolis. I don't know what to do to improve, I wish I could get faster somehow.

Does anyone have any good guides or tips for Bathhurst!? I really hate the downhill section, it's an avalanche waiting to happen. Disaster.

So annoyed with the Genesis TT. Put a time down last week that I thought (key word there) was good enough. Didn't have time to play much at all this week and come back today to see I missed gold by .022". I know I could've gone faster.

The Bathurst one should be pretty straight forward, especially with using RS tires.

The results for TT63 are over here.

I've also updated the opening post with the index of TTs and the second post with the community leader boards.

Interim Results for TT64 at Autopolis International Racing Course in Gr.4.

Car performance is super interesting here. The Supra as the perceived meta car only in 5th place, behind the Ferrari. And the F-Type in the lead.

Yeah, I have some pros and cons about the mountain, I dislike the downhill section after going uphill during Sector 2.

EDIT: The new leader is M Hafidi.
I always feel like I'm faster in the places most people have trouble and I screw up the easier pieces. Not just at MP but everywhere. Also that doesn't stand with the Genesis we just had. 😂😂😂

So, what's everyone's plan for getting gold at the mountain? Mine is to watch tons of top driver replays and study their moves and braking points on the track.

Most if the time I'll watch @Tidgney his upload during my lunchbrake ( straight, funny and always fast as f..... thanks mate, it's appreciated!
Just to see where he brakes and i listen to the things he points out..... this one is clear..... "brake in a straight line!" 😁😂

Then on my first session I'll just load the fastest ghost, 0.4 ahead and respawn each sector and just try to follow it, I'm the all in guy, so no easy buildup but full send with a lot of restarts and invalidating wall scraps prob...... but in the end I'll learn the combo 😁😂

Good luck 😁
