It is pretty good but with 2 problems. Total lack of power going up hill. Very hard to get the dipper right.

Can't solve the power issue, but since it is easiler to get the line right, I ended up losing only a little of time compare to the Genesis. The dipper is tough tho...I don't think I had even gotten it right once. But if you win the lottery there, you can easily gain 1 to 2/10s.

mmm, sounds tricky but maby doable, the dipper is already not my best part..... feels like yeeting something in the hope you'll miss some walls....., maby it needs to grow on me :lol:, i feel lottery worthy.....let's go :lol::lol:

Latest livery for the RSR, based on something by 811 Design concept for a VW van, of app things! Not sure how fast it'll be around the mountain, but I guess I'll find out tonight!!

Hey, I took a nap last night so I missed a bunch of posts. Well back to work at AP, I really need to start braking earlier so I can face the car to turn and clip the apex properly. I'm surprised not many found my recent lap to be my best. Well maybe I can do a little better but it's hard, I'm not joking. It's a job. I'm glad many others are faster than me but I wish I could get up there in the top of the rankings. It'd be nice.

See I've got the last half of Autopolis nailed down, and I am handling the hairpin fine, it's just the first few turns after the start of the lap is what's throwing me off. I know I'm losing at least a second somewhere out there.

So after 9 laps (aborted the 10th lap after running into a wall...) I've managed to post 2:02 flat. Not quite into gold yet, but definitely more in the bag if I can get the turn-ins spot on and avoid missing apexes!

My consistency (or lack thereof) is evidenced below - those walls have wreaked havoc on my first stint, usually in the uphill twisty stuff, but also once on the descent into Forrest Elbow. Optimal of 2:01.8XX is encouraging.

I'm really not used to seeing my name so far up this list! I'm hoping it stays somewhere near that end of the chart, because I'm usually around 25-30th! also being fastest non-Genesis on my list gave me a confidence boost. :cheers:

@Chris30 : yes, with the audio it would be better and only record fastest lap, I watched all the first lap just to see that it was not your best.

Chris, I think you misread what Lomic was trying to say: your video did not only contain your fastest lap, but actually started with a slower one. It would make it easier to give feedback if you edited the video to only contain the fastest lap. I usually just click "save best lap replay" and upload from there.

Bring positive vibes to everyone's laps and driving!! Have a safe weekend, let's break some records! I guess all I can do is just keep trying and watch a replay of a slightly faster ghost than me, preferably in the 1'56'000's.

Also I'll advise you to just "Save best lap replay" and then you have the option to share it, and we all can watch it in the best quality possible directly on our PS4/5. We can find those replays in the Showcase, and if the person looking for your replay has you as friend, he will also see it pop in his News directly.

Maybe I should just start doing it that way because whenever I record runs/sessions on YT, my audio appears to be messed up, I think it works in the showcase better. No worries, I know, I have trouble speaking German and Spanish.

If I take a look at my leaderboard, there's a German behind me and two faster than me.
BTW, I'm super comfortable with my current ranking because I play in AT, without any help, without illegal substances, or wheel, pedals.... :cheers:

So far Genesis is the meta, it's a bit tricky to put the power down compared to lets say a Supra or AMG, but damn it's fast.

Historically MR cars don't do very good on the downhill here, but maybe RS tires solved the problem, I didn't try any so far.

It didn't solve the problem with the Renault. When I tried it, I spun out several times on the downhill. It also was quite slow.

Of course, with the meta Genesis, I only got a very-marginal silver (which probably went to bronze by now).

I post my videos straight from PS5 to YT in console. You can screen record, edit start and stop times, and upload it all in one go.

Anywho... I was the one who posted a "how-to" on MP yesterday, and I had a chance to get into it last night... my god was it an intense session!

I started with the Mustang GR3 that nobody but me loves and got into the low 2:02s after a few laps, which was ok, but meta times were calling so I rented the Genesis.

It didn't take long to adjust to the much different feeling Genesis, and set a 2:01.6... then I fell victim to the curse of brushing walls a LOT. I ended up running a lot of laps while chasing my own ghost sweating and shaking at times because of how involving this track is. I still haven't maximized everything for a perfect lap.

At the end I gained a few tenths for a 2:01.219. Optimal from this session is a 2:01.025, but I would love to be in the 2:00 range.

Here's a vid of my last short session. Here you can see some of my mistakes and invalidations on the way to my fastest clean lap. This was a lot of work!

I was in two minds whether to even try the TT at Mount Panorama, as I'm not quick here at all.

However, I managed a 2:03.578 on my first session of 9 laps, just 0.170s off my optimal - enough for silver for now, but way off a gold. I also don't think I have much scope for improvement here either, so I'd take a silver. How anyone can get sub 2 minutes here is totally amazing to me!

Noticed that there are 3 Aussies in the global Top 10 already, including Andrew Lee and holl01 - it will be interesting to see who wins that particular battle, as they are all very close at the moment... I just watched holl01's replay... fascinating to see how differently he uses the gear changes, and how unbelievably close to the walls he gets. :eek:

Damned, my first sector was very medium (22:255) but thanks GOD, the 2 other sectors were "not so bad" (37:636 & 55:161).
My optimal is still at 1:54.7xx.

I still can't believe I'm 5687th... :eek:

I've also give a first serious try to Mt Panorama TT with my beloved RSR.
After 4 laps (1 invalidated), I'm 2 secs away from silver.
I'll definitely not chase the yellow medal here but it will be a perfect training for golding the CE.
