Did about 200km yesterday, after maybe 170 of them i had my first (and so far onliest) valid lap 4:21:551. Next lap i was a second ahead, slightly touched the wall in Porsche curves and got a red 4:20:5xx.
I love the track and I'm okay with the car but it's so frustrating. 3 corners I mainly go too wide Tertre Rouge, exit of Porsche curves and my nemesis, the right kink before Indianapolis. Indianapolis i bottle completly quite often, also in my best lap an easy 5/10s lie there. But I propably invalidated the lap on every single corner in yesterdays session even the ones I didn't know or think you could. eg beeing to far on the left side on entry of Mulsanne corner.
It's just too unclear where track limits are - take the first chicane down mulsanne straigt. On exit it's at the line, then jumps back on the curb. Right kink Indianapolis, a bit too far on the right side and red, but no clue where exactly the limit is.
Goal for today is to bring the 4:20:5xx home, that may be the safe gold then. Over the weekend I'd like to go below 20, maybe even in the low 19s.

You can do it! 🤣 Seriously though do the circuit challenge here. First find the slowest sectors, then check the CE. You will find lots of time.
I knew that wasn't going to be very fast, but I didn't realize just how slow it actually was. 😲 This might be a tough one! I think I did gold all those la Sarth circuit experiences, I'll have to check. Or maybe that was one I gave up on to come back later and never did. I feel like this might be another Mt Paramount for me. Barely getting gold if I'm lucky!

Ok guys, I'm on a mission at Le Mans with the Bug'

First, the livery.
Bugatti is a world symbol of high couture and French know-how. So, I've chose for an elegant one, serious but modern, classic for the spring-summer season, with some light touches of orange for the speed but not too much.

After the first "2.5 laps" test earlier (4:26.9xx), I decided to be a bit more focus on the track, the line, the braking points, etc. for that second session.
It's a bit less conservative - but still too careful on some track limits, and braking points - and I'm now +/- 2 secs from gold (and 10 sec from WR.... :odd:).
The gaps are huge...

On that short session (5 laps, 1 in red), my optimal is 4:23.143. And it's clearly doable, as I know I left many tenths here and there. It's a loooong concentration exercice where a single error costs the full lap.

I really don't know yet if I could join the very select "Sub 4:22" Club. I'll see that later. For now, I'll quickly watch videos and upload a ghost, because I must significantly improve my times with the best practices from the best drivers.

Have fun, guys!

My Corrado in 1991 was Brilliantschwarz. Very common too.
And the VR6 I didn't bought was Dunkelburgund 🥰

I totally second your second point.... ;)
When I take my glasses off I can clearly see that the Bugatti is made out of two VR6... 'Dunkelburgund' is german for 'midnight purple' and that might be a good starting point for a livery... Love that!

There isn't only Red Bull Ring calling but also that race on sunday... LeMans must wait.

Exactly and 'Dunkelburgund' is the official name of that fantastic colour
We'll see if it's enough to stay in 'Silber' ;)

So far so good, staying optimistic I clocked a silver yesterday (I think a 4:25 or sumthing) at the Bugatti Le-mans TT, but the car handles like a boat, and feels so slow at stock gr4 form with this Bop, so your patience is tested. Anybody got any vehicle setups tips to improve my laptime?

How can I not do one with me, @Gomario JSP and @Dolph Drago 🤪

And for the current TT....surprised to get into the top 100, but again it is still early.

My Amazon buggy didn't do so bad :D

@Tidgney If any one of us ended up missing our target by 2 places.....we all know who's face to punch :sly:
haha it's why I'm glad it's a % of the time rather than places, if it was places I would only do one account and money grind on the others. Unbelievable time by Kaj, couldn't see 13's so that is very impressive.

So the first session after my horrific remote session which kept freaking freezing yesterday was less frustrating, but frustrating enough to know that indeed i DON'T like this combo at all...

I'm not a real la Sarte fan in the first place, i think it's a track created for a certain kind of car class, that means high downforced overpowered low cars that come to life at higher speed....

Putting a cruisship with 4 turbo's on it, turn it down on power and put in on RH's def do not help in this case.

When i looked at my board my goal was getting into the 18's, that worked out this morning after invalidation heaven on bollards wich you don't even hit...

@Evilmuffin and @Dolph Drago i'm throwing in the bone here...... you two fight over it,

Did LeMans for 2x 1 hour stints this morning and gradually improving lap after lap, currently sitting at 4.21.xxx just out of gold.

Haven't done this track in almost a year now since I had gotten sick of grinding LeMans for credits at first, now driving this car for only the second time ever and slowly re-discovering/learning online TT track limits by myself lap after lap. It's a fun combo!

Still lots of room where I already knew I could improve for next time.

Did not watch any replays from other players before I was done for that 1st day since I always like to figure stuff out by myself first before getting any hints here and never use any ghosts ever either.

So I'll shoot for gold and I think below 4.20 is doable for me with DS4 if everything falls into place, within the limited time I can afford to spend playing during any given week. Any faster than that I would need a wheel and pedals to achieve.

After seeing how leaders short shift compared to me, gear up in some corners and make very agressive use of track limits and nail everything without fouling to get such perfect laps, it's impressive what people are able to figure out to find way to go faster...and 4.13.xxx is just mindblowing!

Times go down and i am already 2 seconds behind gold. I think i will wait a week and see if i even attack again.
2 seconds sound daunting, but there is so much time to gain by just improving a single one of these exits given how long the straights are. Like I said, between my best and my second best lap are nine tenths. This is insane compared to the fight for hundredths at Grand Valley.

Case closed....i'm done
If that's really true, it's all the the motivation I need to keep pushing for the 1:18s :D

before switching to the RBR, I went for a spin at Le Mans last night (just to see...) and after a bit of getting used to, I managed to get the gold in 4' 21.818......and 2000th all round......😜😄

I suspected it wouldn't be enough, and immediately I saw Gomario's image: it's already passed 4' 21.558...😂😂😂..and there you go....
that's why I'm letting the 1st week pass and the "aliens" get excited .....we'll see more clearly in the 2nd week and what target to reach....

I'm already golden at RBR, but I'll try to improve......
and they've reintroduced the Weekly, so with 3 accounts, I've got plenty to keep me busy....😄:gtpflag:

Some background for those who are not only interested by their chrono.

Here are the winners of the 16th edition of 24 Heures du Mans in 1939.

Jean-Pierre Wimille (left) et Pierre Veyron (right) won the race on a Bugatti Type 57S Tank

After 1937, 1939 is the second and latest victory for Bugatti in la Sarthe.

Sorry for the interruption of your thread!

Put in some time (and I do mean that in the most "prison-like" way  ) at Sarthe last night and managed a laughable 4:31.4xx

I really do not like the track. The straight bits are dull and I find almost every corner annoying for some reason. Painful...not sure I'll even visit it again to try and get into silver.
