This Amazon delivery bugbear somehow just clicks with me and it errgh...delivers 🤪

Nice lap @crome ,never thought I would say this, but I'll definetely try to be ahead of you again
Go for it, two tenths is nothing on this track! Btw feels a bit weird to be seen as some sort of benchmark considering I was regularly occupying one of the bottom 10 ranks of the leaderboard just a few months ago :D

But no need for false modesty, you're on a very similar trajectory. Sky's the limit ;)

I'm sure this was described before, but how to post screenshots here or how to get them from console to PC? :!
Don't know if my process is necessarily the most efficient, but i take the screenshot on the PS5 with the share button, then share it from the PS app on the phone with my Mac via AirDrop. To a PC without AirDrop I guess you could just email the images, or sync via something like Google Drive etc? But I'm sure Windows users can answer this better.

After a long and very stressful session in the Veyron I managed to join the 4:14 club! But boy did that test my nerves. Messed up many potential 14s in the last chicane so what a relief it was to finally nail it. There's still some time to be gained but that'll have to wait until after tomorrows Nations.

Oh, how these track limits drive me insane. Tertre Rouge, especially. I'm so tired of seeing my sector 1 split disappear from the screen only to see red numbers blasting me in the face. Did I cut the turn too much or did I run too wide on exit? Who the hell knows?? PD sure ain't gonna give me any indication. Infuriating!

What else? Umm...I had a 17.3 invalidated because evidently I was too close to the inside of the sweeper before Indianapolis...I was behind @Evilmuffin by roughly 3 tenths when I began my stint tonight, gained a chunk expecting to see myself just ahead of him only to exit the TT and see he had gained another HALF SECOND himself while I was making my run, leaving me in the dust (then seeing him post his out-of-this-world 16 a few posts above)...Oh, and PD decided to kick me in the balls while I was down. My last 4 tickets? 3 star - 5,000 cr. 3 star - 5,000 cr. 3 star - 5,000 cr. 4 star (ooh, that should at least be 10,000 cr, right??) nope - Bugatti invitation.

Anyway, I only cut off 3 tenths today. I was up a good bit only to muck up from basically the Porsche Curves on. Sigh...I think a 16 is maybe possible, but I have to string together so many sectors to get there. Something apparently I'm incapable of doing.

Diving in VR does make track limit a bit easier to comprehand.

And yea...the last sector is a mighty pain in the rear! I can't get that blind left sweeper right (before the final chicanes)....oh...and the chicanes too!

Midnight time trial session, and a good one! I was able to clock a 4:21,9 and then a 4:21,3 (!!!) which puts me in the gold territory, even though it is a fragile lap time.

But at least the pressure is off. I'll try to grab a safer time for sure.

The French Connection is on!

Close call at the end of Mulsanne.

I’m the same I can’t get my brain to let me turn in early enough for that sweeper. Plus Tertre Rouge, same thing.

A 1.5 second gain is a decent improvement, but my brother tells me that I wasn't trying as he somehow managed a 4:18.8. I don't know how he can say that because I came within centimetres of the wall at Arnage and sent it into the second chicane on the Mulsanne straight. Still, I can't let him beat me.

Well I'm fixing to put in gt7 and receive my 2M paycheck for the gold medal in the Ford Roadster challenge. So which TT should I start with today and which one will I have a better advantage in? I need to decide because I only have enough time to work on one track. Le Mans has a lot more complex turns and obstacles during the lap if I dare to enter. I do have about 10-12 pages of posts to catch up on, you guys crack me up at times. You can't lose your sense of humor in gt7, in frustrating hard situations where you end up getting stuck on a certain task.

Now at Le Mans I usually get Sector 1 down pat, and S2-S3, S5 is the one where I end up going out of the track limit. I'll show you what I mean when I post my video runs.

RBR + Lancer is definitevely more fun. Lap is soooooo long at Le Mans and track limits are really frustrating.
Maybe but I would never say more fun for a TT where @smoothbore12 is leading us... :irked:

:dopey:

I envy you right now, that damn Bugatti menu has been sat unfinished on my list for so long waiting for that ticket.

I got your point, dear neighbour.

Having to wait for months to complete a menu or a collection is not pleasant, not fun, and not fair.

2 cars are still missing to my collection: the Mercedes 300SL at LCD (I have the Cr. 20M) and the Citroen GT. For this one, I'm waiting for an hypothetical invitation since months and there's nothing fun in this frustrating lottery.

Thanks God, I have the TTs, the Clash of the Titans, and this forum for having fun.

I will second @Lomic 's suggestion for the Evo at RBR. There are fewer days to work on it. Maybe get yourself a decent score and then move on early to La Sarthe?

For the VR users - @Evilmuffin , @djolliea - What RPM are you short shifting in the Bug? Earlier people were mentioning shifting halfway up the rev bar, but we have to rely on the poor tach design in the car.

ok today I managed to cut .7 from yesterday with an ok lap(no more), so I'm now officially in gold territory.

Goal was 1.19.xxx.

I was getting very tired towards the end of my 3rd short session at 2AM , but I was definitely getting there, at the 1/3 of my last lap I was already up 1.4 sec, then made a costly 7 tenths mistake at a spot I never usually mess up...which made me lose focus, but managed to make up for it, then 2 other smaller mistakes...but was still up around 1.6 and then huge one in the last set of fast corners while pushing to hard trying to make up for what I had already missed...so just overslowed in the final chicane just to make sure I didn't waste at least the gold lap...which resulted in a 4:21.249.

But if it wasn't for those stupid costly mistakes due to fatigue, I would have easily got it so I'm a disappointed for not having reached my goal, but at the same time happy to have gotten gold and to know within that I had it in me.

Theoretical best is 4:20.514 after that last 8 lap session, so I know 1:19.xxx is within reach.

Next time!

(I cannot currently include pics the usual way within the text since the options are all blacked out/ disabled for some reason, so I attached the picture files)

Very unconsistent but satisfying morning session at Le Mans.

After +/- tens tries (invalidated laps, crashes, false starts, etc), I've finally managed to complete a decent lap.
My first sector is now acceptable (38.6xx) and I have enough speed to follow @Tidgney 's ass to the first chicane in the Hunaudières. After that, it's another story... :indiff:

Some points of the circuit are still "delicate" (the entrance of the Esses Porsche because that Bug' don't like to brake in turning, and the finale chicanes where I've probably lost some precisous yellow tenths) but I'm confident now in a possible new color for me.

Anyway, I'm now at +0.2 from gold and I bet the WR won't change a lot. Only very few (pro) players can score such insane time.

My "Under 10.000th" ranking should be safe till the end :sly: The next step is to secure an "Under 5.000th" ranking and possibly with a different colour.

Because sharing is caring, my replay is available:

Special mention to @KAlex122 @zaxs and @smoothbore12 : honoured to be close to you!

And a friendly wink to @P-Courty when I've opened my 4⭐ticket at the roulette this morning... #SorryNotSorry

Happy lapping, friends!
