I love Circuit de la Sarthe but I am not good at lapping it, and from reading through the thread, it seems that I am going to have some trouble with the track limits....
But I will definitely be meeting you in that yellow territory... or give it my best shot.

If that's really true, it's all the the motivation I need to keep pushing for the 1:18s
i am positive that you will get into the 18's very fast!As for now i have not that much motivation for the new one, maby i will lower my playtime a bit and try again in a few days, but i'm not feeling the need to push like crazy like i do with the others ( the morning 200km runs )

Received 1 Million credits for the Ford TT. Really happy that held! Adds to my meagre tally of silvers. Not doing well at RBR, don't know why because this track has been with me forever! Car is fine, difficult to spin, but I'm obviously not driving it properly.

Woow, surprised of myself. Hopped in the rig, slammed a RedBull livery on the car and let's go. 1st lap already a invalidated 1:21:0, 2nd lap a 1:21:8, followed by 3 invalid ones in 20.4/20.5, next one a 19.3 followed by.... 1:18:725. I think I've never been that high up the leaderboard. Or even in my friendlist. Optimum even half a second quicker with 3/10 lost in sector one. Sadly forgot to safe the replay out of excitement

if you like to throw away 30 min of your time, just do this test at Turn1, 2, 3
Brake well before (I'm not speaking of meter, but of even 50 meters) what you are doing now, whereever it is. Objective is to reach the apex slow enought that you can start accelerating before or at it.
once you master this, if you are seeing potential benefit, slowly move your brake edge.
I use Turn2 as a good distance marker for all of them. Once you get Turn2 distance marker (flat and with apex speed about 50kmh), you can shorten it a bit in Turn1 (uphill, helps braking, and with apex speed about 100kmh), and increase a little bit in Turn3 (downhill and with apex speed about 75kmh)
It's not making the whole lap, but these 3 straights help a lot.

It's terrible, my wife don't understand why I constantly talking about flying saucers, why I'm afraid to go outside the house, and why I always look at the sky in panic...
Note that he drives an ORANGE Veyron.... Coincidence? I don't think so...

Came back from FF7 to do the le Mans TT. Tried yesterday and today and couldnt finish a single lap without it being invalidated. And just when I was thinking this was gonna be hard, I clocked a 4:19.755 which should be safe hopefully and it was my first valid lap as well. Atm it's my best ranking since a while.
I have some holidays at the end of the period of the TT, I might try to get it under :19 as I feel it's well within my reach. I messed up the first chicane on the straight bad and the last part was far from optimal since I was taking it safe to finish the lap.

60 minutes of track time and I got to shave 0.5 from yesterday's results. Still 0.5 seconds away from gold (4:22,0) if the top time doesn't change.
My red laps come most of all at the tetre rouge and the left hander right at the end of the lap (the one with a RMC red sign)
But at least I know where is the time to be found. 🙂

I hope to sit down with the Bug for a minute this evening. Haven't had any since I had to go back to work. I was enjoying my mini vacation!

Second of all, thanks for cheering me on, it seems to have helped 🥳
Like it did you, the game also told me that I can be even faster. In fact, the very next lap (and the last one of today's rather short session) I was on my way to a 4:17, but then this happened 50 m before the finish line ...
... and instead of a white 4:17.9, I got a red 4:18.0 🙄
I think I'm not done yet here. It's a lot of fun, and more than the 4:17 my goal is to stay above this row on the leaderboard, which would be the 3rd time in a row, and I'm close 🤩
