First 10 Laps at Le Mans, no ghost yet, just feeling my way and getting used to the plastic tires. Really struggling with Indianapolis, so will watch the @Tidgney guide to dial in lift and braking points. I do enjoy this track though!!
For the right kink in Indianapolis for me breaking a bit earlier, as Kie does in his guide is way easier than doing it like Tidgney. Propably losing a little time, but for me definetely worth it.

Pesselles, we are really loosing to much time with AT on this one. I tried a lap around LeMans with changing to MT on every longer straight to short shift a bit. I don't even know where to shift and forgot the first straight but: Three tenth down to 4:21,026 now.
Hey Alex, thx for the info, always good to know.
4:21.026 is an excellent score, bravo my friend! You're getting close to 4:20.

Yesterday, I couldn't complete a single lap... If things are getting better today, I'll give a try to MT to short shift before the chicanes, Mulsanne and Indianapolis.

So my PS5 has decided to stop reading discs. I've ordered a replacement laser as it is a simple DIY replacement, provided that it is just the laser and not the IC on the board.
Not a train smash as I have the PS4 digital version as well.

Unfortunately my game time has become extremely limited as well and I am yet to attempt the Bugatti. I will definitely be going orange livery when I finally do.
Hoping to get some runs in at RBR before it ends. Chasing that 1:45,xxx

Happy Lapping everyone
Always nice reading through here and seeing all these power lap times!!

Jeezz.... i don't check in this weekend and there a a gazillion orange Bugs!
Congrats to everybody who had there times lowered, made a beautiful Orange Livery and blasted their way on the Sarte tarmac.

So first of, .

@crome congratulations on that time mate, sub 18 and how! that was a descent lap mate!, that is real hauling with htem big boys right there! ... and sorry...

I almost didn't trial this weekend as a mentioned before, other priority at the moment and have to tae some rest.
Not that much sleep and a lot of stress do not seem to be the perfect combination.

That said, this morning i did a few laps around invalidation heaven again.
I have one real problem child beeing the inside on the right of Indianapolis, i'm use to brake on the straight before and oversteer my way in nose over the curb but everytime i nail it it gets invalidated, that triggerbox right there is absurd and infuriates me.
Had a descent lap but with a very reserved Indianapolis cause otherwise the PS5 went out of the window.

Still don't like it, can't wait untill thursday morning.

Then... @Dan_Tes

Congrats Petrolhead

What an absolute banging colour mate!!
I can't imagine what that does look like in real life under the dutch sun... (hint.....hint..):lol:
God i'm jaleous....... 300%

I hope you have a lot of save miles with that mate!, enjoy!

Aaargh, you said (and I quote) "i'm throwing in the bone here...", and yet you bested my time twice now
Nah, it's all good, congrats on your lap! Even being in the vicinity of you guys is much more than I could have hoped. Maybe I'm going back in as well. I don't think I can beat your time, but if I can beat mine by just a thousandth, I can at least save my replay which I forgot last time.

Let's be honest, you are P 286 in the world currently..... thought about that already?, 4:17.761 is a real great time mate, and you should be very proud, you are hauling with them, them big boys :) :) , and so good to see another one getting in the fight on those better times, sound weird maby, but i am also proud of you guys getting better by the minute.

I said a was throwing in the bone, and i'm still positive i'm not going to grind this one out, but if you feel like it you def should!, I had a so-so first sector and a terrible Indianapolis but my 3th was far better than i had done, so there is a lot of room on a 4 minute + lap, so i'm sure you can crush me again :):)
For now i sandwiched myself between the @Evilmuffin ( who seems to be an entire baloney sandwich away...) and @Dolph Drago who is going to put in a lap that he miraculously found somewhere under the table or something ...

:lol::lol:

Dumb question of the century.... do you wear glasses in real life? How may it impact VR vision?

Thanks
That I can answer (kind of), I have a Oculus Quest 2, and you can use glasses but... there is a risk of making contact between the lenses of the headset and the glasses (may be a bit different with PSVR2), and I also have PSVR1 with the same point of attention.

But if you are carefull, it is manageable.

And... you can order prescription lenses to stick inside the headset, which allow your eyes to be much closer to the headset lenses and have a better view (plus you are not annoyed with reflects on your glasses).

But you cannot share the headset easily. (My PSVR does not have prescription lenses added so everyone can enjoy it, the Quest 2 is on my desk computer where I am the only user).

I may have to end up getting some glasses. Sometimes my vision gets blurry when I'm doing certain TT's. But I guess that's normal for some adults. Good luck and happy lapping. I'm getting ready for bed. Bye!

This is so true. 286 in the world. I don't care who you are, that's just awesome. Getting up in the leaderboard here is a pretty tall feat. This place makes everyone fast it seems.

I had laser vision correction over 15 years ago, was very nearsighted, then no glasses for a glorious decade+ which was amazing. Now getting old and need reading glasses but I can almost get by w/o them. But do not need reading glasses in PSVR2 because focal distance is 2 meters which in can still focus in on fine. But no delta time is a big problem for me in some time trials especially on more unfamiliar tracks. But the depth and elevation perception is a huge advantage in VR for me. I just wish we could get the delta in VR for these time trials.

Took me a while but improved my gold time with ~0.500s 😁🔥 definitely aiming for that 4:17!

Ridiculous to consider the #1 is into 4:13, feels impossible 😂🤔
Well hello there, you are knocking on that 17's door quite quick mate,
God what the hell happened to everybody here?.....
GTPlanet ...
breeding ground for aliens now a days

Nice job!

I wear glasses/contacts. When I first got the PSVR2, I'd wear my contacts so I could avoid the glasses contacting the headset's lenses. But after reading about some lense inserts (@Evilmuffin mentioned them) it's much easier of a time. My eyes would get dry and strained while I had my contacts in.

There are a few brands, VRoptician and HonsVR are popular among the users in the PSVR2 thread. I have the HonsVR. Not super expensive either, worth it if only to protect the headset lenses.

Did some test lap at LeMans. Lot of red laps in the seek of limits.
I think I have something gold borderline in me, but I'm not sure if it's behyond the border or not.

I'm quite surprised by my overall rank, I think it's too much for my current time. Maybe the TT is still young.

Unless I change livery, obviosuly...

If I'm doing the math right increasing the orange area of the car by 24,645% should put me exactly at the gold level.
Going full orange should put me inside the 1K rank

Just spent my lunch break on this Veyron challenge.

Had a 4.24 best with auto gearbox (using a pad). Just done some more laps with a manual gearbox (again using a pad) but have got that down to a 4.20.007 - very very happy with that. Can't see that needing to be lowered... I hope not anyway. Track limits on this track really kill me!

Also managed to get my RBR time down from a low 47.8 down to a high 47.6 so I'm hoping that'll be good enough barring any last minute time drops! Don't think there's much left with that car and track combo for me.

Now that's an improvement! Congrats! And yes, definitely safe. I would go out on a limb and say the WR won't be improved anymore. De Bruin already broke into 4:13, and there's no one even close to challenging him, so why keep going?
