What a silly TT. Anyways, I was aiming for sub 35.7 and a zen lap did the trick. Opt was 0.02 quicker. Really annoying TT and feels like a waste of a real week of learning to drive an car! On to the next one..

The fastest in the world at turning left! Woop woop!

Drove about 200 laps, .opt is about .02 sec faster so there's still time. The key is to hug the banking with the right side tires.

Well.....this is by far the worst TT they have ever come up with...I did some laps on the laptop.... I can say one thing.....RIP pad user 🤣🤣🤣

I golded it, floating somewhere on basement level on my leaderboard....and I am completely fine with it.....🤣

Got a 35.775 using Tidges advice. Definitely more time if I can keep it smooth but once the road gets rough, the car just goes.

Well, that was easy.

An easy 10 laps just for good measure. Left me time to knock out some Circuit Experiences to earn some credits.

Might do a short stint each day just to see what's possible. I can afford to spend 5-10 mins a session.

Agreed! The end of the last turn chucks you off the race line so easily and then your next lap is red. If you nail it though, you can gain on him there.

Some more improvement with the slide-o-saurus. I found (by watching p2 replay) that braking then downshifting into turn 7 made the car more stable with less sliding through the turn.

I know it's almost blasphemy, but using the 3rd person camera really helps in maintaining a good line in that last sector.

Its impossible to gain on him there its extremely perfect lol. Making the car float between yellow line and asphalt steadily at 400kmh+ is so hard. I gain alot in s1 though i just did a .353 s1 and his ghost was far back. But then he came like a rocket ship as always xD

0.35.623 i was on a .5xx lap but i invalidated it. But i beat Kie25 and Tidgney ahahh. This TT will be the one with the most people in GOLD 🏆

What a difference a week makes,..last Thursday,hungover,had to deal with the great milk disaster of 2024....this Thursday,new(used) car in the driveway and a possible best ever finish in a TT....i blew a top 30 time by drifting slightly left coming out of the last turn....

I guess PD gave us the spaceship/alien car TT to celebrate the recently launched "3 body problem".
The parallel here on GTP is the money grinding problem in GT7! In 13.37 days the money problems are solved for most players who did this TT??

Why does it matter what place you are though? Isn't all that matters your time? So even if you're the last person in the 2 week window to post a time that is exactly within 1% of the top time, you'd still get gold, right?

Yes, so long as you're in the 1% (or 3% typically) of the P1 time you get gold. Your overall time matters none short of being within the cutoffs. But, bragging rights are a thing and some like to push to be as low on the rankings as possible, even if there is no longer a monetary reward. I am not one of thoes people, but many are for sure!
