That happens so fast here. I try to check it often but sometimes you can't and then you have A LOT of reading to do 😂

I mean you could just skip to the last page but then you would miss the improvements some people here make.

I personally enjoy reading post from someone who struggles with a given TT and in the next post they improved and in the next they improved again. The energy you can almost "feel" from these posts it's contagious and kinda gives me the motivation to try and improve my time.. Kinda hard to explain and maybe sounds a bit strange but before I joined here I did maybe 5 laps in a TT and if it was just bronze then ok.

Now I watch replays, load ghost, read tipps from fast players and run 100 laps and try to find a better and quicker line. Not always successful but 4 golden ones so far for me. 2 months ago gold would be miles away 🙈
don't try too hard though 🤣🤣 , you shouldn't exaggerate !!! 🤣🤣 Don't improve too quickly either !!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Folks, here I am again.... Lol

Can you guys take a look at my lap? I'm really having a hard time trying to find out what should I do to find more speed. Specially S3.

I have shared my lap at the GT7' in game page.
I use my psn name as a hashtag on everything I share. #blacksky37

Thanks a bunch in advance.
Happy to have a look when i'm back on GT, sharing to youtube and embedding the video link in a post is a little more accessible for quick help :)

These time trials are becoming addicting!

I started in the 1:37s - got up to 1:36s the other day, and broke into silver last night! I'm optimistic this will be my 2nd 'tough' silver (e.g., outside of the ovals). I had a 1:34.6 that was wiped out for track limits (I didn't even touch the orange pylon and still got invalidated). The funny thing is, I was much more aggressive cutting the Dunlop corner and never got invalidated there.
At least I know I still have some room to improve.

This is cool, thanks for sharing! I never understood why GT7 didn't display how many people attempted the TT. Sometimes it's hard to stay motivated when the game only tells you there are 45,000 people faster than you.

I can't recommend that. I chose @Pesselles ghost. It was just standing in the pit line and claiming...

😉 Martin
@Pesselles
Somehow I just can't let such opportunities go to waste. I try to keep my hands off the keyboard. But I'm almost magically drawn to it. :scared:

But you're right, Daniel, that was really really nasty :guilty:. I realized it when a lightning bolt narrowly missed me. ⚡
Zeus sees everything :nervous:

So first it was this

then this

and this for good measure

and it resulted in this:

Never seen this coming.
I may rest my case now I think, because I might not be able to replicate such sweet run through both bends here.

Don't know if the top 200 will hold, but it looks quite nice.

And yeah, I will post the GIF before @Jeje6410 does.

Third stint. Improved to a 32.2xx

Optimal finally down to 31.9xx but it must be an inch perfect lap.
Hats off to sub 32 guys:bowdown:

Jackie Steward saying "Sometimes you need to ease off in order to go faster" definitely applies to this circuit.
Hey man, it seems to me you have excellent racing skills, want to join my friend list? If you dare... mwhahaha! (I'm silly sometimes)

Another 10 laps stint, with MUCH BETTER results this time !

Put TC to 3 and it helped a bunch !

Loaded a ghost that is just in gold lap time (it remains closer).

Not gold yet but much closer 😁

And to add a sugar glaze :

I am in front of @Pesselles which is not something that occurs often (never in fact on a TT) but I guess it will motivate him to get gold 😅

Plus a very good (for me) medium time. Optimal not so far of the best lap...

40 laps total for now

So I guess to start with, does anyone have a replay that is slightly better than my time, I need to start slow, and work my way up to the professional level replays. My recent time is 1'39.894.

I shared mines (1:34.8X and 1:33.8X) but you can find plenty in the showcase.

EDIT: I just clocked in a 1'39.520!! I had to stand real close in front of my TV in order to pull this off. My eye vision is blurry sometimes. I think I need some glasses. I used to use them in school a lot.

I guess this isn't a bad TT, it just takes time getting used to the car at Fuji.

Dread is a strong word but I really wasn't looking forward to this one. I love this car especially in VR but not a huge fan of Fuji, at least not the final sector the way it is now. Finally tried this TT, jumped right into this one in VR from the start, no shakedown laps on controller or flat screen this time and it only took a few laps to gold it, and a few more laps for my current best time but no purple sectors on my best lap which didn't feel particularly fast or clean. Shouldn't be a problem getting into the 1:32's, I might try again if needed 🤷‍♂️. But at least it's a real car on a real track which I always appreciate. Maybe my weight savings paint job helped? 🤪

I would look for a ghost on the leaderboard. Load it, then go into the "ghost settings" and set it to "reset after each sector" (I forget what the actual setting is called). Then follow it around the track as you make your laps.

I loaded a ghost that was 1'31 and it was still invaluable helping me improve from 1'37's to 1'34-1'35 range. The key is having it reset after each sector. Try to master sector 1. Once you can keep up in S1, then you can start working on S2 and then S3.
After a handful of laps, you should start to understand where you're losing the most time.

Spending time on the Fuji circuit experience could be helpful too. The Fuji CXP is in another Gr.2 car if I remember correctly, so it'll be similar speeds to the GT-One. And you can learn the track in "bite sized" sections if you prefer (e.g., you can practice the final section instead of having to do entire lap).

And yes, the GT-One can be a tricky car to drive consistently.
