Off on hols tomorrow so had to resort to painting the Toyota orange to get me extra boost and reach the 1:31's. If seeing an orange car will give you a few tenths the replay is shared with GTP tag

Teenager beat my Daytona time, that's his first TT victory over his old man and for sure he's quite pleased with himself...

Thank you for taking the time to write out such a comprehensive reply :) I will give these a go tomorrow and hopefully net an improvement! I think I was initially doing the final turn far too wide but now I've started doing it too tight, the right line must be in there somewhere :D

It is one of my trickiest corners and I don't have any references for braking points/turning points, I can also be faulted for trying to 'bank' a decent lap and going quite conservative through there. Perhaps that's why I slowed up too early for Netz too.(TIL that it's called that) Bigger cojones required

31 is also the aim/dream for me but it might be just a tenth too far, it feels like my optimal would be around a 32.1, but we shall see.

Edit to add that I am on a wheel* :)
No problem, I think it’s one of those ones where the best line for you is just trial and error but me waffling might just might help.. definitely a bit tight on that last corner if you can get a compromise between your old line and that posted line you’ll be golden.
At the moment turn 6 "Hairpin" is my weak spot. I begin to get Coca Cola (turn 3) right, which allowed me to gain a good chunk.

And of course the last turn where I feel blind, and I'd love to be able to look at the apex while turning, on which VR must be very helpful and natural.
Oh absolutely, I think this is the biggest factor in sector 3; I completely forgot just how blind it all was and how on a TV you basically just had to turn and hope and it felt like an age before that final apex appeared on the screen (if it appeared 👀). With VR it’s still difficult to find a consistent break and turning point but the extra visibility you get with the headset allows you to be much more consistent with your exit line.

Quick session this morning got me into the 1:31s whoop whoop 🎉 🥳. I feel like there is still time to be made as I explore the limits of grip on exit so maybe a solid 1:31.6xx is possible. What a lovely car this is 🫣😁

Since none of my friends play GT7, my friends-list is a bit… empty. Would be fun to compare times to others in time trials, CE:s and licence tests. Nowadays I’m usually in gold/silver territory.

Feel free to add mr_wurst on PSN if you like, I will probably soon go on a adding-spree so don’t be alarmed if you find me in your friend-request list. And I wont take it personally if you dont accept it 🙂
If you want to send a friend request this is my PSN : jejechris

I've been super busy between work, school, family and friends this last week, so I still only have less than 10 laps at Fuji so far... can't wait to get back in it.

I would love to have some of y'all on my PSN friends list (I literally have zero people on it because I just don't know anyone who plays GT7). It would be nice to have a real time list to draw from, even though I do love coming here for the great information and support!

I'm LSFDRX on PSN, add me if you would like, or DM me your SN and I'll add you when I get back in the game!

Epic time there mate, suites you well this combo!, man im having a hard time with it 🙈🤣 ..... the fastest way on those exits is just to open that steering just enough to prevent going to saturn right away.... but getting early enough on the throttle to maximize the exits...
but for my feeling that's just half a millimeter on the pad stick... and I am so often just OVER that edge and that compromises my exitspeed a lot by powersliding around Mount Fuji 🙈 costs me a whole year until now 🤣

great job mate! 🙏

We oftenly have the same questions here about how to improve scores on TTs.
And we oftenly give the same answers and the same advices.
Because there's no secret how to improve our driving skills.

For Fuji, I'm not comfortable with the track like many others players.
But it's not a reason to give up of to be happy with a medium silver score.
So I've decided to work, to learn, and to practice. Because there's no secret.

Yesterday, I drove 266 kms on Fuji in Moby Dick mission with the Nissan GT 500.
I failed to get the 1st place, even with fast scores like 1:13.895, but I've practiced and learnt a lot.
This morning, I came back on track and finally, the work paid off. It wasn't easy but I've managed it.

I'm only proud of the final result, not at all of the way I achieved it... (watch the replay)

Then, I've jumped in the GT One for the TT, with a LARGE motivation.

The miracle didin't happen (no PB improvement) but I'm more comfortable with the lines, the braking points, and the global control of the car. It should be "less complicated" now.

And for the very first time, I had a very motivating optimal:

There are many videos guides, there are many ghosts available, but this won't help you if you don't work A LOT by yourself. Nobody can decide to work for you and nobody can learn for you. Only the hard work pays.

Tonight, my right hand hurts but I'm very satisfy about the skills I've learnt myself.
I don't know if I'll enter the yellow territory with the TS020 but I'll do my very best to gain the necessaries tenths for.

Last point, my car is ready for the next Clash of the Titans !!

I'm very interested in this. Totally enjoy racing against real people but daily races absolutely suck. What time and day?

I 100% second this! And even though I still don't know if I can break into the golden zone, if I do I hope you can join me there.

See you on the other side! You can do it.

FINALLY back home and ready to catch up. Man, vacations suck :D (jk of course ... well, at least somewhat ;)). I hopped in the GT-One for a quick 15 minute session just to get to know the car (an absolute beauty in VR btw), and was very surprised that I ended up in gold already, if only by a hair for now.

Which makes it my fastest gold ever except for last week's spaceship, which doesn't really count anyway, right? And believe it or not @Pesselles , I didn't even fetch my Angela Merkel portrait from the bedroom 🤯

I will say that I didn't waste any time and used all the help I could get straight out of the gate. I watched @Tidgney 's video, used his ghost, and ran with TC1 and CSA strong. And probably VR does indeed help reduce the awkwardness of section 3, as @Dan_Tes pointed out. Anyway I hope I can do a proper session later tonight. Goal would be to secure gold with a high 1:32, then maybe experiment with less assists. This is a fun one! 🤩

You'll be more than welcome my friend !
You all now ( i guess) that @Pesselles is my Love ❤️ to hate mate .
What i admire the most is his motivation when something does " click " to him .

Congratulations mate , am so proud of you and note that its a big word from the mouth of your ........ personal Traitor 😂

Thanks a lot but I don't accept marriage proposal from old male Greeks (or from young, by the way).

How to find WR replay to watch it (not to load his ghost)?

Showcase search is dumb, there are 5 pages of replays for this TT and no way to sort them or filter them.

The trick is not to enter the event. You choose the TT -> "Select from Garage", but rather than entering the event, select "Qualifying Time Ranking". From there you can watch the replays. Yeah, the menus are stupid :)

It's just like loading the ghost, just the screen before loading into the track.

Go to the leader board and select one with the replay icon.

But it looks like @flip6981, @crome and @Interemptor beat me to it!
