I hope it will be a silver medal here...
I'am an optimist guy 😅

Back in silver for now.

Oddly enough I'm not having too much trouble putting in consistent (albeit slow) laps here. My biggest issue is drifting a little too far to the side and inadvertently touching a blade of grass at which point the car says "grip? What grip? I'm a hovercraft." I doubt gold is in the cards for me, but I might be able to get into the 40s...

Suzuka + HDF Car = serious headache for me! :yuck: So back to silver I went this morning and that was completely expected. I continue to have problems with exiting the hairpin, the entrance to spoon and this TT adds the lottery that is 130R - which all leads to Casio where I ALWAYS go conservative and lose time. :banghead:

Got to shake it up as I feel right at my limit...new color for the rental and I needed TC:2 today to improve. :)

Hi,

For what its worth....

I have managed to find a Ghost time that is an achievable ( For me at least! ) He / She has posted a time of 1:32:644 and their time is a downloadable "ghost"

I am currently chasing it, frantically, around Fuji!

Best regards to all here.

Ian.
I'm still doing this one as well and it is just crushing me - I finally broke into the 1'33s today and am about 2 tenths from the Gold time. I just don't understand how I'm struggling to find 2 tenths when I'm 3 whole seconds behind the leaders!!! Feels like I should be finding 2 tenths every single lap at this point! :banghead:

Hi,

@LinPark....

I have recently learned that the way you release the brakes makes a huge difference to the way the car behaves. Stamping on the brakes and "jumping" off them unsettles everything. While I am not for minute suggesting that you are doing this. I am suggesting that is has made a massive difference to my own times. Currently at 1:32:1** at Fuji and looking and hoping to get into a 1:32:***.

If I get the very last corner just right, I reckon it's on too. That said - I haven't managed it yet. Not once! LOL

Best regards.

Ian.

Thanks for the tip .. I'd settle for a 1:32:999 right now and then move on to Suzuka. :D

1.39.027 that litterally was an headache to drive with the pad, but i think that i'm in the safe zone for gold.
Maybe my video can help to shave off a couple of thenths 😉 good luck guys 👊🏻

Nice lap! If not for the final chicane, you would have easily been in the 1:38's.

I don't get how some of you guys get the car the turn in certain spots while I watch as my car just understeers, especially in the esses. Wheel vs controller maybe?

Now I wonder what four letter word you meant. Calm, kind, safe, cool, fast, able, cute, nice, neat? :D
I know one word I could put in there that's decent. JOKE

@DolphDrago, what method are you using for the final chicane. I know when I did it in GTsport I would go too fast and miss the turn and hit the colored tires that are white, green and red. Some people may get confused because there's another fake turn-in which leads to a dead end!

No offense, but Fuji with the TS020 and Suzuka with the Mc Laren are for "kids".
The latest edition of the Clash of the Titans was for men (the real ones, with hairs on the chest).

I can't remember exactly where my braking point is, but it is the same as @Tidgney and theKie's guides. I drop it down briefly into 1st gear for initial turn in, give it some gas in 2nd as I approach the lefty, up to 3rd and turn in early (but not too early) to get a good angle coming out of the corner, then up to 4th for stability midway through the final turn. It felt like my car just didn't slow down at all on the lap I was well up. The green astro was my destination at that point followed by those tires.

Unfortunately that mistake cost me a 1:38 time but that's ok, i've had enough of this car. Do you play with the wheel or the controller?

I can't judge because I had a dream I got into the 31s  Which i'm choosing to see as a premonition, only 8 tenths to go!

Dreaming about GT though, maybe I need to get a life. :scared:

My dreams have become reality :gtpflag: Can't tell you how hard this was for me, I've done about 1,200 miles in this car to finally achieve it after so many 32.0 and 32.1's.

So pleased right now, can finally move on and not touch this TT ever again
