I Lowered my pb .4 and now only .83% away from a gold time. I’m really hoping to get there but I’m sure that the carrots 🥕 will be well in front of me by the end. So it’s attack Suzy mode until the end.

Congratulations to everyone who are achieving their best. This is extremely difficult.

My dreams have become reality :gtpflag: Can't tell you how hard this was for me, I've done about 1,200 miles in this car to finally achieve it after so many 32.0 and 32.1's.

So pleased right now, can finally move on and not touch this TT ever again

Lap for those interested :D

Excellent lap! Looks like your dream came true. You probably envisioned that you were going to get a lap under 1'32.000. I'm trying to lower my lap even more, I'm at 1'37.500!

@K1LLD0z3R yes indeed, the Fuji one is a pain in the arse!! Trying to nail Sector 3 quickly is brutal for me at times.

@Chrome_PuPXD that is a sweet lap - CONGRATS!

Nice lap and a great achievement @Chrome_PuPXD congrats👏

I had my 4. Session tonight and went down to 32.1xx.. Will not visit Suzuka before going down to 31.9xx in this endless looped nightmare:irked:
Thanks so much guys :D It was a real challenge.

@BeRSeRKeR_TR I see you are in the same situation as I was with stubbornly refusing to try Suzuka until the job is done

First day at Fuji, well over 70 laps broken into 3 sessions with Titans races in-between to ease off the tension.
I like this track, sector 3 is tough and very hit and miss with directionals, but when it lands it feels so good.

Gold seems safe:

TCS 0, but CSA at strong which seems to be a necessity with pad. Car is still a handful on exits, but a bit calmer than without.
Over time the optimal went down to 32.8 low and that's what I'm aiming for.
Every easier tenths are already done, now it's only hard work and racking up laps hoping for a bit of luck and consistency over one of them.

Gonna check the guides as well to see if there's any bit of useful info for the AT folk.

What an attack that was!! What about the controller. What should I have the CSA set to? Weak or strong?

I see gold on Suzuka dropped from 1:39.757 to 1:39.695

Let's hope aliens don't improve. A tricky TT on controller. It will be interesting to see statistics at the end and see in ranking of gold medals where it stands 🤔

( Sometimes I get crazy ideas and start brain puzzling our favorite alien 👽 and statistics master @half_sourly even before my idea is fully developed in my head, but for example what I am wondering right now is that eternal question, controller vs wheel. I sense that current Suzuka TT is definitely advantage wheel, but I wonder if it's possible to create a formula, wheel - controller, 80 -20. I tried to sort statistics excel file on phone, since I am not in front of PC today but home, but excel on phone might be challenging sometimes to say at least. Let's say we look at first ten, just to simplify things, if we have 5 on wheels and 5 on controller, then result is 50-50, but if we have 8 on wheels and 2 on controller, result is 80-20 for wheel. In bigger picture we need to take into consideration how many of us are on wheel and how many of us are on controller in the first place. If we are 60 on wheel and 40 on controller then in first ten 6 on wheel and 4 on controller is still 50-50.
Hey hey just sharing my thoughts on Sunday morning while I enjoy cup of tea in rainy Gothenburg and reading this thread and thinking how many on controller got gold so far and how many on wheel got gold so far. Nobody panic. )

Just scroll past my post and chase that gold, and don't forget to use DRS wherever possible to gain a tenth or few 😊

Would be very interesting to see indeed, for me personal it's the speed/downforce that makes the disadvantage, you just don't have that finesse on that thumbstick to correct and then straighten out to line up for the next entry, it just to nerveous thru S1 and S2 after the hairpin it's ok on this combo.
But same was with the Redbull at Atlanta, those first S'es were just killing on pad.

And it's quite clear here, normally I don't realy have that much trouble golding things, but this one does fry my brain 🤣
And until this morning u wasn't sure at all if I would make it....

I'll keep trying until the new one, cause i doubt this will hold...

next one better be a sliding roadcar or GR3 or GR4 🤣🤣

Are you using directional buttons to steer? 1:33.071 is like a Platinum medal! Why don't you post a bonnet view video?

Yeah, shaved another 16 hundredths at Suzuka!

I am beginning to think that this will be enough for gold. Still feels weird that this is even a question when I am deep into the top 1,000 :D

What a tough combo, and some really weird behavior with the diff and suspension (especially in 130R). Probably the hardest TT i've done so far.

Wow, congrats, what an incredible 4th sector! I am ahead of you by 0.4 seconds by the end of S3, yet you end up in front of me. If I could only pull off one of these ...

Thanks! I think the trick is in the exit of spoon and fully sending it through 130R. If we combined our laps it would be one of the best times by any of us regular folk. Your first 2 sectors are incredibly smooth, precise and fast!

Some good improvement at Suzuka, currently at 1.40.461
The snake is obviously difficult, but there are other places where I feel I may do better.
Degner, i don't have a reference, every lap feels different (but petfectly identical for the pants)
Spoon, the second part is very tentative

I don't have gold aspirations, but couple of tenths may be achievable.
I also realized that I'm in stock livery, so improvement should be kind of granted with new colors

Here is my lap, i appreciate if you would like to take a look at it

Four "battery long" stints and into silver, way far from gold. I enjoy driving this vgt but I am slow in it. At this moment 130r I manage not to slide sideways but can't cary enough speed - lift at 100 marker, and around 188mph when i'm stepping on accelerator again. Smooth steering input is crucial so I can see why pad drivers may struggle here. Also noticed that late downshifts help me with car control here, earlier the car tended to slide when downshifted too early. Gonna try to gold this until next tt comes but I don't see myself finding 2seconds for that.
Edit: and whoever thought of actualy letting battery drain in this one was a maniac, had a stint where I was surely 0.5 before my best time into spoon only to get overtaken halfway to 130r by my ghost. Yes I lost count of laps.
