Le Mans day 1 (as Free Practice and Qualifying sessions IRL)

I was supposed to struggle with it!

First practice, no lap guides, no manual tranny, just a feel for the car.
Felt sorry for #8 Toyota for missing out on hyperpole due to traffic and just blasted through those curves.

Sub 3:41 is on the cards right now and there's still a whole week left. Those kilometers are going to rack up here.
Bravo mn ami !!!!👏👏👏👏. For me this TT it is hard to get gold !!!!

Thought I'd work on my time a little bit before it became too late.

Oh, and shoutout to my man @padrome over there, who lost his chance at WR by two milliseconds... damn snipers.

Looks good on paper and makes me sit out Le Mans completely. At the moment I simply don't have as much driving time as I would like and so I have to set priorities... 😕

I remember the Barcelona-TT in the GT3 as it has been one of the first trials I put some effort in and chased some of those who are known today as the Titans... 💪

I am so proud of myself for not giving up at Tsukuba. I pressed on for two hours straight until I finally clocked in my gold lap.

@half_sourly, where was my lap time ranked based on your data and statistics. I'm not entirely sure where I stand there.

This was my 6th earned gold medal.
Click this link for the results, Chris. To help you find your stats, you are 116th on our scoreboard.

I assume when TT is over we can not see replay, (ghost) right ? It would be fun to see that lap, that is crazy fast!
Unfortunately not to my knowledge. Unless he is a YouTube type and posted it.

Or unless he just shared his replay manually.

@Chris30 : well done Chris ! 6th gold for me too ! Crazy how many players are between us for less than 0.08s delta (on the world rankings, not GTP leaderboard)

Seeing @half_sourly's stats, this TT has been golded by a good chunk of the GTP members, was much easier than TT at Nordschleife, which was a much needed relief 😅

Not sure about new TT, it may be really fun, or not, need to try. Depending on the result I may as well leave TT82 aside.

The results for TT81 are over here.

I've also updated the opening post with the index of TTs and the second post with the community leader boards.

Interim Results for TT82 at 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit in the BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97.

Same thing he's been doing for over a decade! Sets a disconnected lap on the last day and connects to the internet and crosses the line at the last minute.
Absolute madman. Professional sniper.
I remember his last minute laps in GT6, but I was living under the impression that's not possible in GT7 as you need to be online all the time...
From his profile I see he's done only 10 selected TTs, but from what I remember he snatched the WR only in two (this and Lake Louise)?

Wow! There is a lot of gold! Congrats to all those brave drivers! The Toyota drivers demonstrated yesterday that this track ain't easy...

@KAlex122 : I watch your results as you are my benchmark. I did manage to be faster than you at Laguna Seca and Tsukuba and that made me happy. 😁 I'm sure that you will reach gold at Le Mans and I will not participate. I choose my battles wisely and see you in Barcelona... 😉 Happy lapping!
(After a great holiday in Austria I will also cheer for your country during the soccer EM...) 🥳

Hey man, guess what. I got my 6th gold hanging by a thread. The limit was 1'12.920 and I just made it under with a time of 1'12.886. That was good enough. I couldn't hurt my thumbs, fingers anymore so I had to stop.;)

@half_sourly thanks for the stats, I'll take a look when I have time this weekend.
Hey Chris. Most important thing is; It’s nice to see you back “healthy” again. Take care mate. There is an old saying that goes “Once gold, everytime gold”;)

Keep up the good work buddy you got this…

Not sure i will get back to LeMans.

Looking forward to the next ones.

The football EM comes as a bit of a surprise to me as i had little time for football in the last years. It's definitely nice to have your own country at the EM so i don't have to cheer for Portugal (one semester abroad during studying). :D

And having 2 weeks of work in front of me helps. ;) watching some games, even with our little girl at home.

Where exactly have you been at your holiday?

Well I guess I should get to work at Le Mans, now that one will be a job to try to gold so I'm not so confident about that one.

Maybe I can get @Gomario JSP advice on it. I need to set a realistic goal and time to beat, even if it's in the silver range.

Well I'm gonna prepare my breakfast and eat for a while so I'll be back later this morning. I'm gonna try the Le Mans TT now. This is an awesome community. I wish I could give all of you a free cup of coffee or some sweetened iced tea as a gift. There's one thing about me that you didn't know, I like to give to others in return what they've done for me. It's part of my personality traits. And yes, I'm on the autism spectrum, that's where I get my special talents from.

We've been for the first time in Vienna and went afterwards some days into the nowhere in the "Waldviertel". Interesting, delicious and relaxing = perfect holiday! 👍

I think he did the same thing with the Scirocco at Laguna recently and potentially a couple others. I don't pay attention to it usually as that level is way over my remit, but my friend Padrome was in WR contention this time so I'm specially aware of it!
