For the funky livery, I really don't remember on which page I found it (sorry, there's 36 pages of custom liveries for taht car...) and the internal search engine is so poor.

Strapped on a new livery which, of course, was responsible for me knocking off one more tenth.
I think this TT will be my best chance at getting my hands on the coveted alien badge 👽 Even though 80% of my laps end before the Dunlop sign
I think i'm guilty of trying to do the first sector perfectly, when actually much more time can be gained easier in the middle of the lap.
Crucially, despite my 38.2 feeling like it was at the limit, my new 38.1 lap felt like it still had some time left in it as I find new areas to push it more to try creep into the 37's.
Currently 114th, anyone feel brave enough to predict a target time to get top 100 here?
It'll be in the 37's, but how deep I wonder?

Thank you for the kind words my friend. Yes, I am the golden boy today. Very rewarding too with the 2M credits, it was worth every second, minute and hour! I took a nap at 9am and woke up at about 5pm, so I'm just now getting ready to tackle Le Mans. Let's see if I can get my driving skills up to par here and maybe get in the silver club.

That Kevin Estre pole lap is amazing... except the game would have pinged it for track limits exiting the first Mulsanne chicane 🤦♂️

To be honest I didn't even realise the fake, I just saw him head towards the tiny gap so figured I'd swing out wide for the cutback with him on such a tight line, but he defended that well

Didn't own the car so I had to buy one. After around 10 laps and trying to figure this heavy car out, this is good for now. If Silver doesn't get too deep, I may go for it next week. Still a long way to go.

Hi folks,
I have a lot going on currently so play time is unfortunately still limited (and also split between GT7 and preparing myself for the Elden Ring DLC that releases next week ), but: Thursday is new time trial day so of course I had to hop in the Merc. First things first: Gold streak is not in danger, so that's a relief
I also only managed one session at Le Mans last week where I'm sitting at a 3:40.929. If I find the time on the weekend, I have to decide which of the two to grind. I think at Le Mans I am further away from the ceiling, but Catalunya is a lot less stressful.
Biggest achievement of the evening:
This is the first platinum trophy I have ever earned, and I guess it will remain the only one for the foreseeable future 🤣

Day 2 at Circuit de la Sarthe as it was once called in GT.
With McLaren taking its maiden pole position tonight in LMGT3 category at 24h du Mans, I thought I needed to step up with my laptime as well.
Almost a second dropped since yesterday and it still feels like every corner can be bettered here.
Finding those improvements in a single lap will ofcourse take a lot of time and kilometers, but hey, still 6 days left.
Now I have a good feel with the car and track limits, Tetre Rouge is still the main lap killer.
That optimal looks very nice.

The only take-away I have from this whole thing is that you are competing with someone that makes their living off of playing this game! You should be super proud of swimming in that pool!
I've been a fan of Steve since his very early days. He's one of the very, very, few YT'ers that I have notifications on for. It's been a great ride to see him grow.

Skipped the final day with the Civic yesterday and chose to wheel the McLaren around La Sarthe instead. I had an annoying number of coulda/shoulda/woulda-been 3:38's, but I would make a mistake somewhere every lap. I'll get there eventually. This was my best attempt. A poor sector 1 and power slide coming out of Mulsanne Corner cost me big. 
Then off to Barcelona today. This Merc is a beast. I ran my lap before watching the guides here, and needless to say my approach was quite different. Yes, a bit of gear saucing 
and taking most corners a gear lower (at least for entry). Still not a bad first attempt. Note to self to short shift to 4th and 5th.
Almost forgot. Two more 💩 roulette prizes. Nitrous for uh...I can't remember which car (doesn't matter, how many times do I have to tell you I DON'T want parts, PD?!) and 10k credits. I can't catch a break.

This might attract some negative comments, but have you thought about switching on the braking zone assist? I'm sure it's probably frowned upon but I use it when on a track that I have not been on for a while. The zones are overcautious and sometimes wrong, but it will help you to stop ending up in the sand!
When you've got used to the track, you can switch them off.

I've only driven the AMG GT-R once before in this game. That was for the licence test on the Nurburgring right at the start of the game's life. I don't know if it was launch day or the day after, but anyway the physics have changed quite a bit since then so it was like driving a new car. Instead of restarting every time I made a mistake, I just kept going around lap after lap because I was enjoying the challenge soo much. Catalunya is very technical for a road car but my biggest issue was heavy braking into turn 1 and turn 10. It took me a while to find the ideal braking point but once I did, I picked up a lot of time. They are critical corners.

It is hard to be fast without a handbrake to initiate at speed, I don't know if I wll be able to get it with this one but going to try for the fun of it
That was my first thought when he went wide before the curb on exit because that kept catching me out.
This is why I don't have gold on this one because GT7 is so unrealistic and I'm never playing again 😝🤣
Haven't had much time... and golds it on first day, slow down please 🤣
Congrats on the platinum trophy I thought I had this a few weeks back when I finally hit 50 Sport races but now at 53 and still no trophy 😭 I suspect that this will be my only one too when it finally arrives (it's like waiting for a Bugatti ticket to clear all the extra menus 😅)
