Another 2 hours wasted... was ahead by like 3 car lengths over my ghost, only to buckle it under pressure and screw the chicane... Ending up only improving to 1:00.303... F my life. This feels like a lottery time trial really.

And to rub it even more, the Gold time improved even further thanks to Gallo.

snc
Gallo 58.483 😌
Here we go again...

Hi,

While I am impressed, beyond belief, at all of you who have persevered and toiled and sweated to register stunning times in this current TT.

While I am soooo pleased with myself for deciding against entering the event and showing my failings and inadequate skills!

Please, please, spare a moment of your valuable and precious time to consider JAW! JAW appears to have ripped off the wheels and dragged the car around the track by his teeth. Recording a, truly, incredible time of...

There, right there, is dedication and plain old grit! Merry Christmas JAW!

Best regards to all here.

Ian.

165:45:xxx. Really? :-)

Gallo's supposed to be the best, but he's not that great...

Managed a P3 at St. Croix. I think this week is going to be one where I get a lot of ranking. The times on this track are very slow for some reason. I'm probably 5 seconds a lap faster than most of the grid and I'm a pretty terrible racer. Or perhaps I'm slowly getting better, who knows. I will say that the GTR is an absolute monster on this track in Gr. 4. If you can get the exit speed just right on some of the corners you can shave off literal seconds a lap. Going to keep improving my lap times and see if I can get P1 this week at least once. I got P1 twice last week at Kyoto.
Me thinks you landed on the wrong thread :dopey:

Three seconds better than my best when I tried it! 👍 And about 20 seconds better than my first few laps! 🤣
Come on guys, you can do it (my first laps were around 1:08 as well  )
I whacked up the TC a bit, resisted the urge to lift at turn 1 and finally managed a 1:03 for bronze.
Took many resets though, could not find a consistent line through sector 1 so that lap had a lot of luck.

A question for you's. see the leaderboard and you can download other peoples ghost car, how do you get your own up on the leaderboard ? mine never has the camera icon like lots of others.

Only topsplit get the icon.
Anyone who's lap time was in the global Top 10 at any point will have a public replay available for that specific lap, even if that time is eventually knocked out of the Top 10.

If they do get knocked out of the Top 10, then set a faster lap time afterwards but still can't get back into the Top 10, they'll no longer have a replay icon.

Honestly stuff like below should not be possible in a self called driver simulater
Took some pictures from the nr.1 replay.

No wonder that so many people think GT7 is an arcade racer…

And PD is able to prevent it but they dont want it…

It's not a question of physics here, but track limits.

While grass is obviously the inferior type of surface, driving on it doesn't mean you automatically spin or die. If they had just put stricter track limits, people wouldn't do this.

Physics would still allow this though, and the top tier people do whatever it takes to be fast, within the rules.
